Rin's a magus, she knows about the Counter Guardians and what will happen if Angra Mainyu manifests. Worst case scenario, Sakura kills herself, Rin gets killed, and the Counter Guardians show up.

Archer fought to save as many people as possible and ultimately saved the world through ending a war. But he was framed as the mastermind behind that very war, which may have diluted his legend.
