If T.O. would've hit CT it'd be a win for him, CT would have been on the news, getting more people to watch his show, and he'd have a nice lawsuit on his hands. There's security everywhere on these types of shows and the fight would've been broken up long before anyone got seriously hurt. Worst case CT gets clocked clean in the face before security breaks them up (which would result in a bigger payday from the lawsuit), best case CT blocks the punch, and then gets a shot in on T.O. before security breaks them up (this would get more people watching CT's show because at the time everyone hated T.O. and people would've loved to see a guy punch him in the face).
To me, it looks like a win for CT. He had the better burn on T.O. and got him to lose his cool. That's me though, you obviously think differently, and that's ok. We can agree to disagree.

If you’ve really watched any challenge for the last few years, CT’s been pretty more relaxed when in confrontation. He doesn’t get physical like he used to and we know T.O’s pride is everything to him. He was just embarrassed and needed to flex a little. IMO
