- These are the highlights of The Challenge career of Abram Boise. This video is focused on his early challenges but the majority of his seasons as a whole. Abram debuted on The Gauntlet and got his start on MTV's Road Rules South Pacific. He is a true legend of The Challenge for both his performance and personality.
Abe was one of the few challengers who you can tell genuinely was there for competition. He hated the idea of getting rid of strong challengers
That was the original approach. The Road Rules approach. It wasn't until the girls started playing the popular kids club game, and bananas running with it, that everything changed for the worst.
Weird to watch all the 2000’s footage and it looks so retro already

Remember when CT was wrestling with Kenny? Kenny was a state champion wrestler in high school in Jersey and CT got him in a chokehold and beat him with to my knowledge no wrestling experience. That's a badass dude not just a freak athlete
I wish we got to witness CT goes against Abe in The Challenge. They’re both crazy and strong competitors! I love them both!!! ❤️❤️

Zen Master people were scared of CT because he used to be an asshole. He almost killed that little guy....Abram would have never gone that far with a dude half his size, and over stupid crap. Plus CT was mad that time bc he got embarrassed bleeding from his face after a punch from the small dude.
Abram on the other hand was a crazy yet nice dude. He didn’t go up to random guys and cuss them out for no reason. The only times he cussed at dudes were during an actual elimination (like at Brad & Darrell).
Both crazy but different personalities.
They don’t make challengers like Abe anymore

Yes, early on it was Miz and Theo Von. Abe was like Road Rules' up and coming phenom. Then Abram took over for Theo on the Inferno shows.

I would love to see Abram back on the show. Bear, Hunter, Jay, Jordan, Paulie, Theo Campbell, and Turbo would have a tough time dealing with him.
Don't know about Turbo or Theo....but Paulie would definitely not run his mouth like he does with Abram around!
@@invictussupremus5832 Would it because Paulie is dating Cara Maria? Plus, Abram is happily married. I don't think Paulie would trigger Abram so easily. I could see Bear, Hunter, and Jordan get into it with Abram but not Paulie.

This is just me, but I think Abe and Paulie might actually get along. It's only when Cara is around that drama ensues.
Watching these old videos of familiar faces, while watching the current the challenge all-stars feels weird. Watching syrus, tina, veronica, rachel, brad etc.
After seeing this if I had to compare Paulie and Abram to dogs, Paulie is a poodle and Abram is a rottweiler. Abram wasn't putting on a show, he was real.
As much as they hate eachother it was cool to see Johnny check Laurel and stand up for Abe.

Brad beat Landon in an elimination. And Landon is one the best challengers ever. So, there's that.
@@echo8630 rewatch that elimination. He didn't win from being tough he got thrown around like a ragdoll until tj saved him by saying no wrestling and gave him a free point. Then in the last round he smacked Landon's ring and clipped his own. It was crafty but not tough in the least.
Hes not athletic either
Brad is very underrated. His first 6 seasons were excellent. He tied for 3rd overall in performance with mark long on battle of the sexes 2. He was a solid performer in the missions on inferno 2 he overall outperformed Darrell. Gauntlet 2 his teammates were devastated when he went home. Timmy or david should have went before him. He got second place on duel 1 and beat evan and ct in the roller derby mission. He lost because of soccer penalty kicks too wes. Gauntlet 3 and duel 2 brad was probably at his best. He outperformed evan I. The daily missions on the duel 2 and was
Neck in neck in the final with evan for the whole race. Gauntlet 3he was considered one of the strongest guys on the veteran team.

Abe vs Darrell was the matchup we never got. Ironically though Darrell put a fade on Brad, same guy Abe eliminated.

I think the whole purpose of these shows is to expose people to different walks of life and points of view. He obviously overcame those prejudices so I guess it worked. I hope the same can be said for his former RR cast mates who treated him like an ignorant hick and only used him to win challenges 🤷🏻♀️

The current Challenge needs to bring back some of these old school eliminations.
I feel like the current competitors don't like the physical challengers any more and influenced production to stop doing them. It's more about drama and fighting in the house, these days.
@Zen Master Yep, I think the Challenge wants the Brits and Big Brother people to do well, so the show can be more popular. The production know who's going to go in, so they can easily select whatever elimination challenge they want.

The sad thing is Abram is never coming back. He has stated in interviews he doesn't even rewatch the shows. He was a great competitor. It is really tragic to know you won't get another Abram Boise.
Hes probably not a fan of the newer seasons where his ex girlfriend is getting piped by half the cast.

I used to think Abe was crazy. Then I grew up and met some real crazy people. Now I just find him endearing. And I wish I could find the Inferno 3 somewhere. It's like the lost season of the challenge now.
If you join the Facebook group Challenge Fans, a guy has posted every Challenge season. He asks that you download to watch, rather than stream, else he'll take them down.

Abe was a beast that no one ever mentions, if he was on 50 challenges like Johnny I think he could of won 5 or more chsllenges.
Some of the vets are lucky Abe , Derrick & CT weren’t complete sleaze balls who enjoyed the political & sabotaging part of the challenge . They all loved to play a fair game but prime Abe , prime Derrick , & prime CT would have Kenny , Evan , & Johnny broke as hell . Even in their older age they all still give challenge competitors a run for their money
I think out of everyone that's ever done this show I'd be most afraid to go against Abe in an elimination when that crazy switch hits.

This show has a real knack for picking up people with very obviously untreated Narcissistic personality disorder I would say Wes and Laurel for sure should be seeing a therapist to get closure from whatever happened in their childhoods to make them the way they are however for the sake of the entertainment value of this series I suppose it’s better for MTV/Paramount/Viacom and perhaps us as the audience if their mental health remains unstable

I miss the old challenge when there was real fights, and it was more about the journey and conquering the other person and winning and not the money and politics
