Well if anyone can achieve their goals it’s you Evie! You have great commitment, dedication and a strong will to succeed but it is also tempered with care and consideration for your horses welfare. Those two things don’t always go together unfortunately. I shall be watching your progress with great interest and support this coming year. All the best!
Hi both, I addmeryou for sharing your journey, YOU do SUCH a good job with your horse's. I addmeryou ALL for sharing your journey's , AND ALL the best for 2024 .Take care and all the best with your training. 😊😊👍👍🐶💖💟
I think it's great that you're so driven and full of ambition but also you have your head screwed on and always put the horses first. Looking forward to seeing you smash these goals!
Really enjoy watching all your videos. I love the true emotion that you show us because it means that it all matters to you. Great plan for 2024. Looking forward to following you with all three horses throughout their training and competing and I really wish you all the luck. I hope you have some generous sponsors because you deserve them. Go girl go ❤️
Seeing you get a little chocked up about talks of going intermediate I felt that! You go for the goals!it’s exciting cannot wait to see how the year unfolds!
You work so hard and you have the talent and the horses too . I look forward to seeing your journey unfold and goals achieved the very best wishes to you and your horses x
Amazing goals Evie! I love how attuned you are to each horse and their needs and how much you care about them! I'm super excited to be supporting with your fitness so you can smash all these goals with your 4-legged team in 2024 🥳
Good luck Evie! Wishing you all the best for 2024 🎉 I've set myself a scary goal of doing a ODE with my ex racer 😮 it'll be his first and my first for well over 15 years! I'll be watching you for inspiration, hints and tips xxx
Always enjoy your videos. I may not be able to watch them immediately (my health doesn't always cooperate) - so I expect I will never be "first" as some. But I am a huge fan & yes, I watched it til the end, as always🎉. I look forward to your 2024 season unfold & will thoroughly enjoy being a 'passenger' as you take us along with you (especially with freestyle dressage & liberty in the mix). Best wishes, Evie. With your awesome horses, your talent & determination (plus the support of your fabulous Mum), it's going to be a great year🤗
I’m so glad Badminton Grassroots has restrictions keeping upper level riders out. Here in the US we are divided up into geographic Regions. Last year the lowest recognized level was Beginner Novice. That level was jumping 2’3” and in my region there was a US Olympic rider competing in those Championships. I was outraged! Arghhh😡
Hey - I stayed to watch to the end 🤗 what an amazing line up of goals!!! You're so determined and your training with Maggie is going epically well it's so good to see. Can't wait to see Donut in training now he's sound. I'm curious - and this isn't a backhander, or criticism in disguise (I'm a total fan no longer a rider so don't know all the ins and outs) - how are you thinking to do an intermediate whilst also saying you need more mileage at novice? Is that doable within a season? I guess you got to novice with nutty in his first season so there's my answer really!! But just curious (and fully support your determination!!)😊
Yes - like you said really. My thinking is to try and do it a bit like we did with Donut last year, spend the season getting milage at Novice for all of us then providing that has gone well can look to do an intermediate at the back end of the season. Donut ran at 11 events last year so that gave him 9 runs at BE100, 1 run at 105/championship level and then his novice run. Technically, we only needed 3 qualifying (MERS - minimum entry requirement) runs at 100 level before we were allowed to step up. For Intermediate we need 5 qualifying (with MERS) runs at Novice to be allowed to do intermediate. Donut has already achieved his first MER with the run at Oasby so will need another 4 - and I imagine I will want to do more novices still before we have a crack at intermediate. If you want to look into the MERs it is all explained here: www.britisheventing.com/join/become-a-member/minimum-eligibility-requirements So I guess the milage at novice is the short term goal then the intermediate is the long term goal providing we hit the short term goal! 😁🫶
@@ELSEventing thanks so much for taking the time to explain all this! I really appreciate it and love to learn more about the sport! I'll be watching all your vlogs along the way! X
Have my bare feet on a solid wood coffee table. So definitely touching wood for you. This video is such a great idea. I do my resolutions on my Birthday and think I should do a video like this too. Donut is such an awesome horse. As is Maggie. Hi 👋. Got to the end of the video. Gatcombe would be epic 🎉🎉🎉 I know what you mean about Intermediate. I feel the same way about doing a 2*L one day. That's my goal because in my youth, I wanted to do Badminton and Burghley but that's not going to happen so 2*L it is. That will require a new horse. My feet are still touching wood, so hopefully everything will work out for both of us.
Ah all the good luck wood vibes! 🪵 I enjoyed being able to look back on last year and see how far we’ve come so it’s definitely worthwhile. Good luck with your goals too! 🌟

Hi down in the comments 😂
Wow this year is going to be mega exciting for all us armchair eventers!! 🧡🧡
Hello down here! 🤣 Ah thank you, hopeful that we can pull it off 🤞🏻💪🏻

Ah that seems quite unfair! 👎 It is definitely a bonus here although we do compete against all levels for our standard classes x
Good luck for the season 😊
