Well done! Your first 20 is always a great milestone in carp fishing. But don't put pressure on yourself to constantly keep beating your pb. Enjoy your fishing (im sure you will), and every now and again something special will come along to reward you.

Try using vitalin to bait the margin to keep the ducks busy It's cheap and cheerful also worth keeping an eye on it if the carp move on it Adam it's a tactic I employed when waterfowl are hammering the spots your fishing over

Congratulations Adam, It seem's a shame that it is over now quest complete : ( Sometimes the writing's on the wall so they say. What a great shot of you and your friend's, it reminded me of 25 years ago when me and my friends used to do weekend session's at our lake. ATB.
You can go easy on the glug for bait soaking boilies, could of used less than half the amount you poured in especially if mixing with water you only need a little bit for the boilies to soak up the flavour. About 50ml of glug per litre of water is all you want.

Get yourself a tufty torch ducks, coot's, black chicken's and geese really don't like them clears them off the spots you've carefully baited up and they don't come back swans don't react to them but they do hiss and move on 👍
I miss carp fishing soo much. Was not even about the fishing, being out in that Bivvy, cooking breakfast, sleeping under the stars! Too many damn snakes in Tennessee for that :) I did go to my local lake the other day (Google Percy Priest lake in TN) it's only 40 miles long :P but there was a Russian guy using bottle tops as a bite detector, reeling in common after common up to about 15lb, i even landed one for him. He took them home, and cooked :P He must have had about 12!

The thing with carp fishing is it gets addictive now it will be I wanna catch a thirty then a forty and so on. I got to catch a forty a few years back and keep planning on going to France to fish for bigger and I’ve resorted to catching on the surface in more of a stalking style

wd m8.....ive also told leon bartropp get a nightfloat in the edges something to watch at night rather than going bed....thats why its called nightfishing.....the rigs are a bonus but nowt better than ur nightfloat disappearing in the night.....give it a try m8

Thanks Kieran. Yeah, it was the snowman rig. In warm weather I use a Fox Supa Brolly Compact. In the cold I use a Cyprinus Base 1 Man Bivvy 👍🎣
