Great video, there are more ways too, place your best mid range shooter at the free throw line, have the corners run back door, the center has to watch the mid range or help the back door, always works for me, fastest way to break a zone into man
For Sure! Getting the opposing center to step out that paint and involved on defense is what breaks zones the most!
I personally go into carry mode and start using my center with hooks at the free throw line and facilitate from there , somebody will have to guard me which can open paint to back door or a pass to wing
Yeah if your center can score out the post, no defense can stop that so it’ll lead to easy passes for your team

Nice plays but this was a bad zone defence. That team should not play zone if its the best they can :D
I agree i think people are taking losses to teams that they don’t have to. 2-3 zone in 2k is actually not hard to beat just need proper spacing and to hit shots.

If you're running 5 out offense the defense will most likely be in a 3-2 zone not a 2-3
Better teams will adjust true. But most people on 2k are just imitating things they see other people doing to win. Just have to show you know how to handle their initial zone and then they organization crumbles. They don’t understand why a zone works or the strengths and weaknesses they just running it to win. The team we faced started playing a matchup 2-3 zone most of the game but obviously they never worked out who stops cuts and where they help is coming from.
@@JellyxPoint I've noticed overall most of the 2k community lacks basic basketball iq, if you're not running with at least one person you know you're getting sold by Randoms 9 times out of 10, but hopefully those that watch this learn something it's one reason I stay off rec unless someone from my squad is on
@@Darklord_tKtrue We be playing 5s cause we like it . Even with randoms but we just trying to help people see the problems and give tips to help better the experience. Hopefully these videos reach the people who need it.

exactly...you gotta know how to shoot....which now its a gamble due to the last patch...it doesnt make sense at all....our shapr lock has an 85% from 3 and last night over 5 games went 4/22...doesnt make sense
This new patch definitely tweaked shooting, but we just have to adjust to the game in front of us sometimes! Hopefully it gets fixed soon!

How do you beat the zone with teammates that can’t shoot
Thats a tough one, your best bet is to have a teammate sit free throw line and call out cuts. But that won't work all game, Shooting is key in breaking zones!

they arent in a 2-3. this is 5 out offense its a 3-2 zone
These are just some clips from the game the first couple you can see they were in a 2-3 to start and then they just started scrambling fr after we broke it down a couple times. The point we was trying to get across is that if the defense is in a 2-3 a 5 out offense is the easiest way to beat it.
That Defense is man not Zone…
They started in a 2-3 zone the 5-out forced them to stretch their defense to be a man at points in the game.
This team isn’t discipline on defense. That’s the key to the 2-3

Man defense is better to me because most people don’t know how to properly play a zone, so they end up giving up open shots.
