I have a question, in neck to neck traffic on hills area engine is struggling and letting me to put pressure on clutch.this is happening mostly everyday. Would this be fine or it will ruin the clutch life?
I have also driven the Polo Petrol in Hills and I haven't experienced any struggling. Please shift down a gear and you can drive very easily. On some occasions, if you put pressure on clutch, nothing would happen...

Ranjith Kumar P it will shorten the cluth plates life. its common . depending of the use cluth plate burn and have to renew. either 5 yr or 10 yr. or 2 yr depends on the driver

Please do it. It will be a big help. And if it could be a home remedy it will be even better. Because this stench problem is very common and keeps coming up after a short duration. So I go to service center he fixes it and within a month or two the problem is back.

i have a some clarification regarding service and i think you will be the best person to help me. i own a Polo TDI 1 year old, i had some issues like white smoke coming through silencer , vibration while in slow speed. I have given the vehicle for service and its been two weeks now, the service people says they have not identified the problem yet and they are planing to replace the fuel system completely under warranty which will take another 15 days. i think that is not reasonable time considering its already been 2 weeks. do you have any suggestions ?

Sir I have a doubt I have bought a Polo 1.2 Comfortline and when I brake all of a sudden the Tyre is skidding I hope abs vehicle does not skid right and I have tried it 2 to 3 times it was skidding all the time and the at the time of sudden break at the last point brake pedal felt so hard and it was shivering (back and forth) at the time of braking is it normal or have you felt any of this. I have never felt anything like this on another cars pls help

I wouldn't rely on that. If that light goes on there is already a lot of oil missing. You should try to prevent that since that might put unnecessary wear on the engine.

Will likely not be a problem. The numbers of the old 1.2 engine aren't that impressive even for 2009. Likely the new Polo will be faster in everyday use, since the engine is lighter and the torque curve is spread more evenly.
I'm to lazy to look up the real numbers but a car with 95 nm from 2000-4500 rpm will be better than a car that reaches peak tourque of 108 but only at exactly 3000 rpm, rapidly dropping afterwards.
Building engines is not about reaching the highest numbers but also about how long you can maintain it.
From an automotive makers perspective, you can also adjust how the car feels by choosing a good gearing ratio. So low torque can still feel sporty if you're willing to sacrifice top speed.
You can expect VW to know what they're doing. They want you to buy new cars and they're building them not since yesterday.

VW Polo is the best for long journey as the car is very stable at higher speeds & the seat is also comfortable. But only two adults can sit comfortably in the rear seats.

Hey dilip, service guy sold me some fuel additive for my tsi engine he says it removes the occasional jerks in power transmission. Do you think it is worth it? It costed 1k and requires one cap full around 30ml with every fuel filling. Also he charged for the germ kleen using some 3M product are they worth it? Or we should only restrict to company mandated service.
1. I personally don't recommend using fuel additives. Please avoid using them.
2. Germ kleen is worth it.

I always use Godrej Aer twist or poppy grace mate car perfume. Both are good & I always buy whichever is readily available between this two in shell petrol bunk.

It is a very bad move from VW in my honest opinion. Even the 1.2 litre petrol engine feels underpowered during some occasions. That's why I recommend diesel TDI variant to everyone.

suraj yadav hi, you can opt for engine heat insulation cover which could reduces 30-40%of noise and it costs not more than 3k.
1.2 petrol is 3 cylinder engine and thts why is not much refined it makes a hard sound when you rev so much but generates a good power in the limited range of power
