I worked almost 12 years with Joomla and was always planning to move to Wordpress until I did... One of the templates was so slow, I couldn't figure out why. Then another one crashed, and I got so many crashes of the whole system. It was very easy to recover but I was very disappointed how many troubles I encountered... Yes, it is easier, it is nice, until everything crash and then you don't know what is wrong ... I would compare like windows and linux, when was the last time your linux crashed? It is possible, but it never happened to me, everyone use windows but it doesn't mean it is so great. People might encounter really bad surprises moving to Wordpress, and my joomla is just so reliable...

@@diegocerezo564 Well some didn't crash, but was soo slow. I was doing an online shop. So I added a lot of addons, and deleted some. So I guess you have to be careful and choose what you install and uninstall. If someone is stkillful would never happen to him, but I was like thinking that WP is like Joomla. Install 100 things and then uninstall them and so on, but things broke several times, or it was so slow at times... It is like to compare windows and linux. Joomla it is in the view of many much worse like Linux, but some people think it is so great, and I think it is more stable ...

@@ivo2 I have heard great things about Joomla, i just never had a problem with wordpress and also have never needed something joomla offers that wp dosent. Also if im being honest i dont think im a power user, i use oxygen to build sites, before that i used genesis, and both are very stable and i only use plugins that are natively compatible with them so i guess that helps with the crashing, but all in all im about 25 sites built with no issues (like i said maybe when im at the 100 sites i will have seen more crashes hehe) Cheers mate keep using what works for you the best!

@@diegocerezo563 Joomla is good, but the organization is a bit slow and confusing... I guess still fixing some stuff from Mambo times. It was great when they left Mambo and made the first light, fast and good CMS, that use MySQL and Appache and PHP, and CSS. I think most of the developers left when Joomla transitioned from 1 to 2 ... Then for some years they gathered enough developers and companies and then switched to 3 and lost a lot of them. So the main problem was not for the end user, but for the companies that developed the addons, the real small once they wanted to just fix bugs and adapt little bit, not build from the grownd up all the coding ... The big once had no problem, but with many other new systems then the market was so divided, then some companies started to develop paralel for WP and Joomla and some didn't push enough good products. So there are 2 big companies that provide a lot, this is JoomShaper and JoomlArt. So if someone go with their products will not be disappointed and will not be confused...

Once upon a time I built my own personal blog with wordress. I tried to install it on my win 10 laptop and the experience was horribly frustrating, The very first error was a mysql function that no longer exists and the "fixes" I researched were a bad joke. So wordpress gets my proverbial middle finger.

Joomla is much, much faster, leaves Wordpress far behind. Joomla 4 is blazing fast easy to reach 90/90 between 98/98

Some of it. Mike Judge is the man so the office space stuff definitely gets a pass but the Spidey references not too much. It’s a little too on the nose comic book nerd.
