Coming here after the news of Coach Saban’s retirement. What a sad day. Bryant built the kingdom, Saban built the empire. RTR and thank you Bear Bryant and Nick Saban
I can remember my step-dad talking about the Bear and how great he was. He got to meet him and got him to sign his hat and when ny step-dad passed he gave me the hat and to this day that hat still hangs on my wall
One of the greatest that ever lived! I was fortunate enough to be living in Birmingham in the late '70's while he was still coaching! It was a great time in my life! We haven't forgotten you Coach Bryant! RIP
RIP - Roger Hallmark...Thank you for this song. I remember singing it so much as a child. It was only fitting that you'd leave on Nov. 29, 2014 as the Tide beat Auburn 55-44. Matt Hallmark and family I'm so sorry for your lose...Here's one more Roll Tide to you Roger!!!
My stepdad got to meet the bear and he said it helped turn his life around. I just wish I could have met the Bear but I know one day i will be walking the heavenly streets of gold with him and my other loved ones.....RIP Bear
@@antoniodelrio1292 I seriously don't know how that comment got on here. You can believe me, or don't believe me. But honestly I don't remember it. If I commented on this video, it sure wouldn't be anywhere along those lines. Anyone that half ass knows me would tell you that. I'd be way more likely doing as you did and calling someone out on a negative comment. Hell I've actually fought got in a fist fight over the Tide. Nothing to brag about, but it happened lol. But there's a razorback fan somewhere out there, that I guarantee you will never slap another Bama fans hat off his head again! Nope it wasn't an Auburn or Tennessee fan like you'd expect, but a damn Arkansas fan. But back to the subject at hand. All I can think is I thought I was commenting on another video. Or something. Honest to God I don't know. Roll Tide 🐘
This seriously bothers me. My apologies Matt. I honestly didn't knowingly leave that comment. Not for this video. That would be like sacrilege. Roll Tide!
@@johnnyclemmons9756 I believe you for sure. I knew it had to be a mistake and I bet Matt could see that, too. **** happens sometimes. Glad you set it straight and hope the kid (son) sees your post.
Actually,"Bear of Alabama" was originally released when Bear Bryant retired from coaching in late 1982. The song had all but disappeared from the charts when Bryant died.
