Very good saw used mine for over 34 years to get firewood also used on chainsaw mill which worked the hell out of it. It was proned to vapour lock in the summer put one coil in the saw over that time
Thanks! Its the first Husqvarna I ever ran and 25 years later I was able to buy it (seized lunched a rod bearing) and revive it with lots of parts but it was worth it to me. Its a favorite of mine to run.Its still on the original 2 piece ignition I believe!
Nice to see one working with a sharp chain I'm biding on eBay ends in 2 days fingers crossed I plan to rebuild it,pot piston and carb ect to run it on Aspen 2 regards from Ireland 🇮🇪👍
Thanks! I spend a lot of time on bar and chain maintenance . I also have a grinder but prefer hand file actually. sorry fo slow response I didn't even know I had comments. I'm not much of a tuber I guess. Hope all is going well in your country. ✌
Thanks! I have been using it a bit this summer and its running pretty good. Got a Huztl piston and 268 type carb oh and handle too. base delete 266 crank from Chainsawr (same as 61). I did some minor port cleanup (intake and exhaust) and case matched the case too the open port transfers. Also about .035" off intake skirt and squish came out to about .030" on that one as I recall. Oh and I also drilled 4 holes in the piston at a 45 degree angle pointing up into transfers (2 each side just below and to either side of the pin boss where its quite thick . I call it my piston jet mod . LOL. Just replaced clutch shoes and spring last week(Hyway) hub was newer smaller thread.Sorry for slow reply . I don't get many comments so usually don"t check.
