Honestly, smooth as butter driving.
Good driving out there. It is nice to have the track to yourself sometimes.
They changed turn 3 and 4 in this video and made it straighter, during regular racing times it’s more of a hairpin then a straight shot
He was literally hitting his apexs
Very nice video and very useful. I have 3 questions:
1) What is the best approach to Turn 1? Flat out and slam the brakes before Turn 2? Or a gentle lift and curving the kart for a late apex before Turn 2?
2) Do you brake on Turn 4 (hairpin) or just roll it around?
3) Does a super-wide line (what they call a karting line) work better on Turn 7 or 8 (the one on 2:41 after the heavy braking)? What is the best way to deal with the 2 corners immediately after that (2:41-2:44)?
Thanks!
Hey man, current employee here and just hit my new PB today 27.281 with previous best 27.426! 1. Flat out through turn 1 all the way, just be careful on your steering input and make sure it’s smooth. 2. You brake just BEFORE turn 2, should be a very quick brake and back on gas quick, turns 2-4 blend together so you need to take 2-3 right to get 4. Make sure turns 2-3 are in a smooth arc and you hit apex of 2, come out to middle of track between 2 and 3, then hit your apex for 3 to keep left setting up turn 4. For turn 4 you just roll it through, slightly lift throttle if you need to halfway to apex (most of the time you will need to quick lift like in the video) but in a perfect world it should be flat out. 3. For this you need to be very quick on throttle right after you brake for Turn 6 and the line in the video is ideal. For the hairpins, turn in slightly earlier than you’d think BUT not too early, lift coming into apex and gas it halfway through apex’s and it should be full throttle from there. Hope that helped!🏁
@@CoolStoryCoD it does, thank you very much! I hope that makes me less slow in the next Challenge. My PB is 28.880. My biggest difficulty is controlling the car immediately following the two heavy braking points, especially Turn 2. When I do control it I find myself far on the right in Turns 3-4 and when I don't it often leads to carnage. Any tips for that? I'm also 196 lbs, I don't know how big of a role that plays. Also, what was the car number you did your PB with?
