Have you been to Weiser State Forest where you can walk up next to an abandoned dragline? It's old, but really great experience to get so close. It's in the section outside Aristes. I think the hike out to it is about two miles, but worth it. Thanks for another great video!
We checked that dragline out when they were assembling it and got kicked out by the foreman 🤣 they had the alco sitting outside of it, such a massive engine.
The draglines in the phosphate pits in Florida are electric. Huge flexible electric cords. And they don’t utilize caterpillar tracks to move, they actually walk.
