The Crown Estate is NOT owned by the people. It is owned by the monarch. You may remember that one of the first things Charles did upon his accession was to pledge the REVENUES to the state. Out of those revenues, part is apportioned to the king [out of which he must provide his own income, incomes for the various working royals, expenses of running and maintaining many royal properties, etc, etc, etc]. Sorry, Brittany but it appears you didn't prepare for this session. The story on the Norwegian Royal family is sad. Several years ago Crown Princess Mette Marie issued a statement that her son Marius was moving to the US and was removing himself totally from any royal connections. Now he's living back with his mother and step family. What happened there?
I was a pretty wild youth, and I'll say that it can be hard to break cycles of attraction, and not just to substances but people, cultures, and lifestyles. Because of that and the problems he's had that the family has been complicit in covering up, the whole family is suspect for having poor judgment at minimum. People who aren't comfortable around the criminal element ensure access changes. If the parents were uncomfortable enough, they would have made living arrangement or security changes. They did not. I won't be surprised if even more crazy stuff comes out to be honest.
The photograph itself, tells all. Look at the way Marius is standing away from the group, his glance is not at the camera and his face looks angry or impatient. He doesn't see himself as a royal person who is a leader, but a spoiled brat sour-grapes kind of guy.

This thing about Marius has been an open secret for the longest time. The police has protected this little shit because of his royal connections. Finally someone in the police had the balls to do something. I have lost all respect I had for Haakon and Mette Marit. I sympathize, because I know how it is to struggle with a child who acts out. Not as bad as Marius, but still.. They have know what has been going on, not everything, but they have known plenty. How is it different than JE of the Island being in the Palace or an estate Queen Elizabeth II owned/spent time? Nobody believes the British RF didn't know about Prince Andrew and his association with JE of the Island! So how does Norway come close to demise for exposure of covered up behavior by their kid? The same cover-up of H could be said of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, and how many other family members! Any family with a family member, close relative(s), or family friend with an addiction issue can relate. The public could definitely get behind this type family struggle, especially if the Norway RF comes clean and asks for the public's support. Sad and true...many families continue to be involved with their adult child with addiction issues. I know our family could not leave a family member to experience severe consequences for the troubles due to addiction. Fortunately, I'd say, the trouble was public enough our community rallied around us all and were supportive and some opened up about their own family struggles in the arena of addiction. I can see how the Norway RF could open up public dialogue, ways to reach others, etc. by being honest with their citizens.
I wonder if one issue was not being given a prince title like his half siblings and some acting out about it. I can see how that could effect him as a small boy when his mom remarried and his half siblings came along he just started down the wrong path and now is being vindictive in a way to his mom and step father. I'm guessing he grew up his mom having primary custody. He's half in the royal family and half out of the royal family. I wonder how he acts at his dads house.
Years ago, when Mette was involved with Haakon, I said she should step back and let Haakon find someone else. Her son, no matter how well treated by Haakon and his family, would be on the fringes too often because royal houses are based on blood ties. So many people felt I was wrong or I was being moralistic. To me it was obvious that a marriage with Haakon would put Marius in a tough position. His mother is a lazy, greedy fool who only thought of herself and now he's paying. I wonder if her association with Jeffrey Epstein will be discussed more instead of being covered up.
In view of historical precedent, I don’t get why anyone is surprised at royals behaving badly. What is surprising is them being well behaved. As for Norway--ahem- Vikings.
I prefer to trust Prince William to any of the politicians or world leaders that are around at the moment. I’m sure they are doing much more good with the charities they support and the tourism and associated income for businesses is incalculable
It must be very hard for him, he lives with royals, his mum is now a 'royal', but he is not, he isn't given the same training as the real blood royals, the ones who will be the ruling royal family once his mother and step-father have passed on or stepped down. He has also got the DNA of his birth father, and from all accounts, he was not a good person.... I keep telling people, you can't beat your genes!! Be careful who you have a child to!!... he has had privileges and maybe too much freedom, and needs more guided direction (a bit like the problem with Harry, selfishness and self absorbed)
He was probably allowed to have a great education, but might have chosen not to? Like Harry at first had the same additional education as Prince William, but Harry chose to drop it as soon as he could, but William had no choice.
Actually, you CAN beat your genes, I know of countless people who came from diabolical families. Who have put their own people to shame, but you need a very strong desire and people who will help you.

36:36 this is seriously INSANE! If the Govt owned those properties they would have sold it hundreds of years ago and would NOT have the income that KCIII gets from it and therefore wouldn't have HALF the tax that KCIII pays on it all. Plus, if the palaces were not CURRENTLY active Royal buildings, they do lose a lot of Royal cache and the govt can't expect to earn the same money. FFS ETA I'm talking about Cornwall and Lancaster. If the Govt owned it, they would have ALREADY sold it.
They also begin to deteriorate when they are no longer occupied as residences. Since they ended Grace and Favor housing at Hampton Court Palace whole sections that were once kept heated and therefore dry by the people living in them have had to be closed off due to dampness/rot/generally being unsafe. This was stated in a live stream by Dr. Katrina Marchant who is a historian that works at Hampton Court frequently. There are not endless funds to maintain every inch of all of these historical buildings and palaces😢
I hope KC knows that by not dealing with the Monteshitshow drama, he is contributing to the downward respect for the monarchy. I feel sorry for William to have to sort it out once he gets on the throne. Andrew 's issues need to be dealt as well. It's not good optics for institution.

While Princess Catherine is wonderful, I totally see why monarchies used to only marry other royals. If they are going to marry outside of that, I think they should at least have some standards...like not marrying anyone who has been married before or who has any children.

@vivianlottering8091 , in the UK, I feel the monarchy is important to people. It also brings a lot of tourism to the country. Maybe if I lived in Norway, I would feel differently about it.
@@katrinestorebo I agree with you, the British monarchy has had and has very prominent personalities with integrity ( I do not mean PA/ Harry). In Norway we have had a late and for the time being very charming King, but I am sorry to say the next generation is very “disappointing”🥱
@@lynettefinnigan9540 his birth-parents obviously 🙄
In this picture why isn't he together in the middle with the parents at the end?? Separation is obvious..
I realize its not his father and 1\2 brother and sister but it is still telling.. I'm not a psychologist but he is acting up for attention...anger....he is spiraling downward and definitely needs help including family counseling..
They wanted him to be able to live as a private person who would not be hounded by the press.
Hello from Denmark. Yes, “Se og hør” means “See and hear” 😊 We have the same magazine here in Denmark.
Yeah and it's trash
@@monican5047 Yeah! 😊
So stumbled over…
The Dutch prince who died as a result of an avalanche accident is called Johan-Friso and his widow is called Mabel, not Astrid.
I read that Mette-Marit contacted one of Marius' victims after charges were filed against him.
Queen Margrethe is 84 years old
Wow! She looks much younger in this picture.
27 and still living at home with mommie? Not very Norwegian of him...
Yes, that is very unusual. :/ bizarre.
Is he voing to college?
He doesn’t live at Skaugum itself but in of the houses on their property.
The photograph itself, tells all. Look at the way Marius is standing away from the group, his glance is not at the camera and his face looks angry or impatient. He doesn't see himself as a royal person who is a leader, but a spoiled brat sour-grapes kind of guy.
They need to deal out tough love.
Marius is jealous of his siblings. I wouldn’t trust him around them. He will bring them down with him on purpose.
Introduce them to drugs
Sadly he is screaming out for help and like h, the family is not addressing his problems and bad behaviors!
There does come a time to let your adult children face the consequences. We can assume help has been offered, perhaps resisted one can't go around wiping snot from their adult children.
He’s 27. He’s not crying out for help. He’s an a-hole.
No.He’s an a-hole. His parents need to treat him like other Norwegian citizens an let him go to jail.
He’s 27. He’s not screaming out for help. He’s just getting away with whatever he can because he’s a flaming a-hole.
@@carolynhunt7333 Oh exactly! I'm sick of people chalking up abusive, criminals as if it's not their fault for their poor choices in life. Just forget about the elephant in the room who's family is enabling criminal behavior...he's a victim!!! Blah, blah, blah...
There are so many bad people around these days. Money talks dirty and I think it would be very hard for any Royal to avoid a ‘baddie’ especially if the baddie isn’t caught.

Yes, why was that allowed?

Thanks for another awesome crown report, Brittany!
Send him to his dad!
Marius’s dad had been in fights as well. As has his maternal uncle. Bad dna
I'm wondering about M&H's involvement with PDiddy connection ??
In Norway the royals are losing supporters fast.
We still like our king, but more and more people are wanting the monarchy to end with king Harald OR skip Haakon and make princess Ingrid queen after king Harald dies.
And if not the Marius shit show isn’t enough we also have our princess crazy and her freaking scam-man.
I feel so sorry for the king and queen because they have done such a great job and her Haakon and Märtha with families has just ruined everything. It is just insane.
I can’t see how they can come back from this.
The monarchy in Norway is done, people will not have this anymore.
Ingrid Alexandra looking up to her brother that is not really something they can fault her. He is her brother.
True, but you are so right. I think it’s becoming really clear how much Haakon and Mette-Marit knew and ignored. It makes them look complicit and drags them into his criminal conduct. It’s not a good look. Thanks for sharing!!
@@RoyalNewsNetworkit really does reflect poorly on them.
Sadly it also reflect badly on the king and queen as well.

Thank you for a good channel. I really enjoy it.
Totally agree. Well said.
Ingrid and Magnus seem fine.
Needs to go to military school for a long time.
He’s a grown man.
It’s his mother and step father covered for him they need to step aside and let the next in like take the throne when the time comes.
Wow this was way more interesting than anything about Harry & Megan. Very sad & disturbing of course as well. 😮
Another Harry
Queen Noor still attends a lot of things for Jordan. Maybe she is there.
@Anna_Key There's help out there nowadays for those with learning difficulties. Some counties had all the knowledge back in the day, but didn't pass it on to other areas. I know this for a fact cos I care for a lady for 7 yrs and she had been a specialist learning teacher and head mistress, in Kings Lynn back in the 60s .
Wow this is a lot thought the British royal family was going through it I was wrong 😂
He has been travelling on diplomatic passport, the police has granted him special treatment for being a member of the RF.
He is a disgrace!
Marius is an adult. He has inherited bad blood from his parents. He needs boundaries meaning jail. His mother must stop protecting him. He is 27.....
If Harry was 3rd in line to the throne before George was born, how could he have been the spare, wasn't William the spare when Charles was heir?
Kings and Queens are being brought down by their children......
@@BrandySmith-mk9bk P Harry is another example of that
I suppose it is princess Astrid of Belgium (Lothringa-Este as married) that will be in The UN meeting. Her father is the former King of Belgium, King Albert and he was a son to the Swedish Princess Astrid who became Queen of Belgium. Queen Astrid get killed in a car accident in 1937 or around that time.
Isn't Queen Matilda there?
@@Anna_Key Yes as a Queen. Princess Astrid is Mathildes sister in law thou she is sister to King Philippe.
FFS
ETA I'm talking about Cornwall and Lancaster.
This guy is a real feck up!
I hope KC knows that by not dealing with the Monteshitshow drama, he is contributing to the downward respect for the monarchy. I feel sorry for William to have to sort it out once he gets on the throne. Andrew 's issues need to be dealt as well. It's not good optics for institution.
And we think we have problems with Prince Andrew, he's almost pure as gold in comparison.
Are you serious?
I think they should give the heating to the British people. Just image if people die over the winter due to lack of heating in their home. That could be the last straw.
While Princess Catherine is wonderful, I totally see why monarchies used to only marry other royals. If they are going to marry outside of that, I think they should at least have some standards...like not marrying anyone who has been married before or who has any children.
Wow great video, so juicy!

Sorry , I just have to be honest. The « crown-family» in Norway is really sad.. They try, but has so little to show! Little / no education, cries for privacy, are not to be seen.
I think they would do better if the monarchy was terminated.
BUT a president of Norway would be much more expensive, and that’s why many Norwegians think it is good to keep them.
I agree, the crown prince and crown princess of Norway are very ordinary people. They seem polite, but not very well educated or reflective. And with all the drugs/violence going on there, we should consider a republic. Sorry, but I dont see why a president would be more expensive?
@@ingjerdloevas-sandvik2032 😊
I’ve seen an estimate of what one president, her «office»/ security/ accomodation(the castle of the royal family would still have to be maintained because it is a state building as I have understood)/ “retirement-cost” for the president and so on…. And these costs will add up for all the presidents in the row.
I might have exaggerated with” much more expensive “, but a republic is not “free” either😅
No education?I guess school like Yale,Cambridge,Harvard,Oxford, does not count? Their military title are also worked hard for,no spesial treatment,no seremonial titles which other countries have in military for royals.
I believe Haakon has a master degree. Mette Marit obtained one as an adult but I believe she had others write it for her. She’s obviously not bright.
