No thumb shifters is a fail IMO.... please don't phase out mechanical or rim brake options.
RIP Campagnolo! We will miss you and use the old stock products which kept it real.

When are campagnolo going to realise a lot of the riders, myself included, are the more mature rider who have grown up with rim brakes and don't want to change. At least offer the option to order the rim version. 😡
By a lot, you mean the population of folks so large that companies literally have to debate if it’s even financially logical to still supporting this segment?
Lol. Face it. Riding rim brakes is a niche, shrinking and dying segment of riders.
More questions than answers now. 1. Can I still use my 11 sp cranks with it? 2. Are these for 12 so only or 11 sp as well? Is there a briefer version for mechanical brakes or is it meant only for disc? I have zero interest in disc brakes and will not change over $10K in wheels in addition to 4 frames just to adopt it. While tempting to go electronic, and this wireless may do the trick, it must fit as a add on, not a total overhaul of everything I have.

I can't believe this thing cost as much as a midrange road bike. How on earth does Campy justify the price?
Sad to see the thumb shifter gone. I've been riding Campagnolo groupsets for over 20 years now, from Avanti 8 speed to Veloce 10 speed and Chorus 11 speed and have now ordered a new bike with the Super Record EPS 12 speed. Glad to have ordered the EPS instead of the new wireless, as the thumb shifter is so much more ergonomic, especially in winter time with gloves on.
No mechanic options and no rim brake option is a bummer as well.
More like 'catching up to current gen' shifting 😋

Just got my new steel Battaglin with this gruppo. The shifting is perfect and the braking is unreal. I don’t understand all the negativity. Yeah I still love the mechanical and rim brake Campagnolo gruppos of the past - I have 10 and 11 speed Super Record and 9 speed Chorus, on steel bikes, but this is light years better IMHO.

The thing about making it wireless has been for "marketing", right? because if for that reason you make a group with a rough appearance, non-interchangeable batteries........it would not have been better to "tune" the EPS (if necessary, rename it) and throw it down the street in the middle...semi -wireless like Di2 and FSA WE......improving the internal battery and wiring, you could have had a better looking group.....Since the last version of the groups of 11, the aesthetics have gotten worse.....PS: I don't understand when you are criticized for the thumb button, for me the only "success" of this new group
One of the main reasons I moved from Shimano to Campagnolo and never looked back was the thumb button and the "one lever one action" mantra that meant zero misshifts due to pressing the wrong paddle and zero accidental shifts while braking hard. Another main reason was the way more ergonomic hood shape of modern Campagnolo levers. That ship has sailed too apparently. Most of the arguments for which people were devoted Campagnolo buyers or for which they switched from other brands are now off the table. Good luck expanding the user base after half of it never buys another single new product...
@@11robotics the thumb lever the reason for many to switch to Campagnolo? oh really? Shimano and Sram's lever system is more comfortable than Campagnolo's (another thing is the comfort of the levers) and mainly in mechanical groups where with Shimano and Sram it is better and easier to shift without having to use your thumb... especially if you are gripping the levers at the tips of the levers if you ride in aero position... you can reach without problem with several fingers ....with Campy??? that you like it more for other things can be understood by the thumb thing......🤔🤔

I have my Dura-Ace Di2 11 speed so won't be switching back to Campy any time soon. Curious though, will it work with Garmin computers and tell you what gears you are in and the Varia Radar?
