When you think you know EVERYTHING then you stumble on a 3 yr old documentary about "Bruderhof". 2 days later i'm still in the rabbit hole and now here. I'm shocked I have never heard about this sect. Congrats on the little man

Ive never heard of them either. I’d never heard of “purple martins” either, which somehow led to this self righteous group.
I watched a random video this morning, and now I'm going down that same rabbit hole too! It's interesting to see how other people live.

He is lovely. When my final baby was found to be twins it was the happiest day of my life - imagine getting two at once.

Congratulations!!! My 7 year old grandson’s name is Xander James. It was a little more unique than what I would have chosen when I first heard it, but it totally grew on me & I quickly loved it. I find it doesn’t matter what one names their child, not everyone will like it, and that’s just fine. 😉 My Xander turns 8 in a few weeks & he’s such an amazing blessing, as I’m sure your Xander is to you and your family. God bless you all during this exciting time in your lives. ♥️

I am not a believer. But I was raised by good parents. Along the way though life I have learned many things. I just came across a few of you'll video's. You guys have a beautiful family. Look very happy. And I am sure the world is a better place because it has you guys in it.
He is beautiful! I love his name. If we all had more faith the world would be a better place. I have a rare autoimmune disease. So I can not go to church right now in person. It is to dangerous being near other people . I miss it so much. Even our tiny little church. I just watched a documentary on living Bruderhof very interesting. Looks like a peaceful fulfilled way to live.

Hi Laura, I noticed that you came from a large family with 7 children. I respect the Bruderhof because as members of an intentional community you have largely conquered the disease of consumerism that plagues so much of the world. However, I'm curious about how the Bruderhof thinks about having large families in light of global warming, resource depletion and the mass extinction of species currently in progress. Thank you so much for these videos!

I've been richly blessed by you and your beautiful family. I've never heard of bruderhof before and find it to be a logical, responsible and Godly way to live. I grew up in a conservative midwest town that had a number of amish communities in the outer more rural areas. I admired their commitment to God and the simplicity of a God centered family life. My admiration didn't go much further than that mostly because of my own spirituality or lack thereof at the time. Now that I'm a middle aged man having found my way back to God I find myself at the very least, intrigued by your community and way of life. Do you ever allow outsiders to visit and experience the bruderhof way of life . It's funny how God works sometimes. I live in the most liberal neighborhood in the liberal capital city of my state. Lately, with the political climate being what it is I've been wondering if I should make a move to find a more like minded environment to call home. I would appreciate your prayers for guidance. Sorry to have rambled on so. God bless you and your beautiful family.

People lie about the miracle of birth all the time. Whether they’re religious or not.
In my time working as a childcare provider I’ve heard;
“He got into my tummy by magic”
“The baby fairy will bring the baby”
“We’ll go to the hospital to pick out our baby”
“My baby sister came from the lake. And then she grew and grew until she went to the hospital to be born”
🤷🏻♀️ people will do anything to avoid telling their children the truth about where babies come from.
Wish other parents would realize that kids can understand those big topics, even at very young ages.
Not talking to my child about a coming baby would not be my way but it is not the worst choice a parent could make. Branson will learn soon enough that not all births are miracles of God in the way that Jesus was.
