The people in Makkah have lived for thousands of years without the desalination plants. And pilgrims to Makkah have been drinking zamzam water and bringing home bottles of zamzam even before they set up these machines to desalinate water from the sea. So why would Jay think the zamzam is from these plants? I started drinking zamzam since 1989 way before Saudi authority started giving out 10 litres of zamzam to each Haj pilgrim. I’ve tasted the real zamzam. It’s delicious! Has Jay tasted it before? Then how can he be so certain present day zamzam is water from desalination plants? If he goes to Makkah today and say zamzam is from sea water, people will laugh at him and will point to him the taps to drink zamzam and taps to drink water processed from sea.
i think they messed up the timeline here, mecca was founded after Zam zam well is available, Abraham did leave hagar and ishmael in the desert, because there were no city or village at that moment, Abraham, sarah and hagar ware originially lived in Palestine. With the zam-zam well, people and traveler eventually gathers and Mecca was start to developed, then Abraham received revelation to build kabah with Ishmael. and according to meccans, zam-zam is not the only water sources in the city. since it is very close the great masjid, it is always available for the pilgrims and the people around the area. but it is not the only water source. The meccans also has other water source for their day to day needs like any other city in the world. i dont think they use zam-zam to take a bath/laundry/wash cars/toilets. they only use it for drink and cleansing before pray (maybe 20liter/day). when the pilgrim go to mecca, their hotels and accommodation could go up to 15km from to great masjid, and they use different water source for their need.

This is all WRONG. Ibrahim (AS) returned to Canaan when he left Hajar and Ismail in the desert. Civilisation had not settled there. So he did not live there. This is false information. There was no water. It wasn’t until passers by stopped that then they discovered this was a place that could now be settled in. Ibrahim returned years later and THEN he built the Ka’aba with Ismail (AS). Some Muslims believe there were foundations of the Ka’aba already there, laid by Adam (AS) and Eve (RA), but there was no settlement there now at this time. Ismail and Ibrahim did rebuild the Ka’aba. Because they reunited when Ibrahim returned. There are no contradictions in the story. Jay needs to speak to a more knowledgeable Muslim rather than challenging somebody who isn’t equipped to answer him. Other claims don’t hold any legs either. They’re ridiculous. Saudi contain and store the water as well. They have justifications for all of his stupid accusations. I think Jay is ignorant and needs to actually do his research rather than spending his life to try and disprove Islam. If he doesn’t believe, he’s welcome to his ignorance. Why is he so passionate to disprove? And if he sets out to do so, he needs to undertake his research. The Qur’an will tell you about the Pharaoh. The Sun moving in orbit. The universe. Waves in the ocean. The meeting of two seas. All miracles that science took years to ‘discover’. You’ll never be able to disprove Islam.

Jay Smith confuse water from well (zam zam) with water for everyday use (from desalination plant). One is pure drinking water (zam zam), the other is salt water which is now so refined compared to years ago when our hair became hard and sticky. Yet this water does not taste like zam zam. Zam Zam has a unique taste. If you havent tried it, pls do! Inside and outside Masjidil Haram are free supplies of both types of water. You can choose to drink Zam Zam or the normal drinking water.
Yes, I’ve been there several times since 1989. Zamzam water is delicious! Back then I could go to the basement to drink the ZamZam water direct from taps installed next to the well. The well was walled off but we could still see through it to see lots of pipes. The basement was cool. It’s a pity they close the basement so now pilgrims cannot see how the well looks like.

Allah SWT states in the Quran: وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ “Woe to every sinful liar.” Surah al-Jathiyah (7) Syeikh al-Maraghi said: “A great woe is for those who lies in his speech and who commit sins. Slander in Islam means telling the truth about islam, just like Muslims get angered when it is written that their prophet married a six year old girl kept molesting her until she was nine, consumated the marriage when she was nine yrs old, and still playing with dolls, now this is called slander in Islam for people telling the truth about the perfect prophet.😮.

The city of Mecca is only approximately 200 years older than muhammad. It’s been soundly proven the cities/infrastructure didn’t even exist at the time of Abraham to make the 1,000-mile trek from Hebron to Mecca possible. Camels can carry enough water for about 100 miles only so this journey would have been literally impossible. The Bible tells us Abraham dwelled in Hebron, leaving only to go to Egypt during a famine, before returning home to Hebron. The Torah certainly would have recorded such a miraculous journey had it ever occurred - plus the Bible makes zero mentions of a pagan kaaba or black stone in connection with Abraham.

With all respect Dr. Jay - You need to know more about Prophet Abraham story. Your question as to: Why Hagar ran between 2 hills while Abraham’s house was right there near Kaaba ? Answer is: Prophet Abraham left Ishmael and Hagar in the desert (at that time it was not called Makkah nor were there any houses or any civilization) as he was ordered by Allah. And Allah sent Angel Gabriel and hit the ground and water sprung there and this never stopped. And it is what it is now…. So, every single thing that you mentioned and showed pictures are nonsense.
It's amazing how people believe in Jay's cute little story about the zam zam well. Jay is a kafir. He doesnt believe in the miracle of Allah! He doesnt believe that a well that small could supply endless pure drinking water for millions of pilgrims. "52 million litres a day that little well?" Yes, Jay Smith! That little well does it every day! And it's not being supplied with desalinated water from Jeddah. That's his error! The water in the well is supplied by Allah Himself! The unique property of the zam zam well is that it fills up every time the water falls below a certain level. Zam zam is free, no one has to pay for it unless it's purchased outside of Saudi or from shops selling them in Makkah, for those who do not bother to fill up their own bottles. Answering Jay's questions: 1) Hagar was left there with BABY Ismael. Abraham left them there. Abraham did NOT live in Makkah. Read the Quran version of the story! If you read the Genesis version, it makes no sense that Hagar went there when Ismael was a 16-yo lad. You dont put a crying 16-yo lad under bushes! Hagar put a BABY under bushes. There were NO houses around the Kaabah. Kaabah was not even there! There were only foundation stones that Abraham took reference to rebuild the Kaabah with Ismael when he's older. That cite where Hagar found water became an attractive spot for other arabs but she made it clear, the well belongs to her. That was how Makkah became a bustling city and how the Prophet's ancestors became the guardian of well and the Kaabah. They're the descendants of Ismael whose mother found the well and whose father built the Kaabah! 2) The well does NOT supply the needs of Muslims all around the world. It only supplies water to the pilgrims. Jay is making a wild and foolish claim! 3) There are no pipes coming TO the well. There are only 2 large pipes drawing water OUT of the well. Pilgrim may drink zam zam water from taps outside the Masjid, from water tanks placed all around the Masjid, or go to the nearest pump station where they can fill large bottles to take home. 4) Desalination plants DO NOT send water to the zam zam well. Desalinated water is for use in hotels, houses, restaurants for everyday use: cooking, washing, etc. This water is pumped to the buildings. It's strange that Jay thinks the desalinated water goes to the zam zam well, and then re-pumped to the buildings! This desalinated water that we get from the taps tastes DIFFERENT from the water of zam zam. Jay Smith doesnt know because he has never tasted these 2 waters!! 5) Saudi Arabia does not laugh all the way to the bank because zam zam water is FREE! Each pilgrim is given 5 litres of zam zam for FREE. On top of that we can fill up our own bottles if we want and they're FREE. Muhammad was born in Petra which has a river flowing water near it. He never lived in Arab Las Vegas. And the farthest mosque is in East Africa, not Jerusalem, so it makes no sense for Hamas to exist there.
It shows how much these Polytheists jealous with Zam Zam Well blessed for Monotheist. O'Polytheists! Who demanded you to drink from this well? It is blessed only for believers.
Muhammad is the promised seed of David. 2 Samuel 7-12 says: "When your days are over and you rest with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood, and I will establish his kingdom. He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever." Muhammad was descended from Ishmael, Isaac and David. His great grandmother was Salma bint Amr who was from the Jewish clan of Banu Najjar. That Banu Najjar was a Jewish clan is confirmed in point 26 of the Constitution of Medina which states: "(26) And the Jews of Banu-an-Najjar shall have the same rights as the Jews of Banu ‘Awf." These Jewish clans and tribes in the Arabian Peninsula were descendants of the Judean clans and tribes that fled the Roman Jewish wars. Banu Najjar was one of these Judean clans, so Muhammad was a descendant of David thru his great grandmother. He may have even been a descendant of Jesus or one of Jesus' relatives. Najjar means carpenter in Arabic. Jesus is specifically referred to as 'the carpenter' in Mark 6:3. As for building 'a house' in the name of Ahyah, the name of the present Jewish deity, Yhwh, is derived from the name of the Ishmaelite/Midianite deity, Ahyah. (According to Wiki: Midianites traditionally have been identified as Ishmaelites. Jethro, a Midianite/Ishmaelite priest to Yhwh was Moses' father-in-law.). The name revealed to Moses was (אֶֽהְיֶה אֲשֶׁר אֶֽהְיֶה) or ahyah asher ahyah. The name was reduced to ahyah (אֶֽהְיֶה) in Ex 3:14 and then rearranged into Yhwh as it was absorbed into the tribal federation later known as Judah. In Arabic, the phrase, ahyah asher ahyah, means roughly the 'The Living One Who is Alive' or 'the Ever living One.' Ahyah in Exodus 3:14 is the same as Al Hayy (ٱلْحَىُّ) in classical Arabic and it means "The Living One" and it is a name for Allah (swt). The Prophet helped rebuild the Kaaba in 608 CE and he cleansed the Kaaba of idols on his victorious return to Mecca in 630 CE, thus rededicating the Kaaba to the One, True God. It was the Muslims who cleansed the Byzantine defiled Temple Mount and rededicated it to the One, True God upon their entry into Palestine. The area was renamed al-Haram al-Sharif or the Noble Sanctuary. The Muslims also built Al Aqsa and the Dome of the Rock. Both buildings are dedicated to the One, True God.

In the video "Zam Zam well in Mecca Sharif" you can clearly see and hear water pouring into the well from somewhere else. It's coming from desalination facilities.
Hagar running between two hills/mountains? This shows she was not used to living in a desert or desert-type conditions... Two places you never run are the two types of desert...
Jay's knowledge of the story of Ishmael pbuh is embarassing. Him and his mother was dropped off there when he was a child. Ibrahim pbuh then came back when he grew up to be an adult to make the ka'bah. So first came the zamzam well THEN came the ka'bah
Walking in the desert would probably require 2 gallons or more of water per day for an adult. Assuming you could walk 10 miles per day a thousand mile journey would require 200 gallons per person or 1600 pounds. You would probably also need some 3,000-4,000 calories per day just to maintain your weight due to the extra metabolic demand. Basically a solo journey without modern equipment and known rest stops would be impossible.

Totally false information by Jay. Abraham did not live there nor did anyone. It was a valley at the time. The Ka’aba was rebuilt after with his son. Even then it NOT was a direction of prayer until muhammed pbuh came (which is thousands of years later) It only became a busier place since this discovery of the water. Lastly the water is free for anyone who drinks it in Mecca!

Zam zam is the start of the chapter of macca and Ismail was just born when they were left there. And Ibra (As) and Ismail(as) rebuilt it when he was ismail was young enough to help his father.
He probably think bottling plant as the plant that produces zamzam 😂
i think they messed up the timeline here, mecca was founded after Zam zam well is available, Abraham did leave hagar and ishmael in the desert, because there were no city or village at that moment, Abraham, sarah and hagar ware originially lived in Palestine.
Where do the different water sources for Mecca come from? Are there rivers near by? I'm curious.

The argument is not convincing. How do you think the photos in the 1800 or 1900 AD were taken? Putting a date does not mean it was of that time and age. Can you please tell me the date when the first camera was invented? It was around in 1816 and that so was very rudimentary. Then again, if there was water back in 600 AD, isn't it strange that there was a well there at that time?

Most springs and wells have a 'never ending' supply of water - because the water originates from rain water falling on nearby mountain tops. For example, there are areas on the southern coast of Yemen where subterranean fresh water gushes in to the salty sea in vast quantities.

17 God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, “What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there. 18 Lift the boy up and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation.”

Answering Jay's questions:
1) Hagar was left there with BABY Ismael.

Muhammad is the promised seed of David. 2 Samuel 7-12 says: "When your days are over and you rest with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood, and I will establish his kingdom. He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever."
Muhammad was descended from Ishmael, Isaac and David.

Jay's knowledge of the story of Ishmael pbuh is embarassing. Him and his mother was dropped off there when he was a child. Ibrahim pbuh then came back when he grew up to be an adult to make the ka'bah. So first came the zamzam well THEN came the ka'bah
Drop off where?.. 30 meter from his house?..
I'm a Muslim and there is nothing mentioned in the Quran about the Zamzam well. I have no idea why the Saudis are doing this. Go Petra.
