Thanks so much. I really appreciate your pointing out the pros and cons. I think earbuds are so individual. What's important to one is not necessarily important to another. After watching your video I've decided the 800 and tick all the boxes for me in terms of what I want!🥰
Just picked up the 800N buds yesterday here in Tokyo. Personally I'm really happy with them. They fit great and the sound quality is really good too. My wife will pick up the XM3 or XM4 when they are available. But for me the 800N are well worth the price. They adjust ambient sound automatically according to your environment and activity. They're waterproof and I think their battery life is better than that of the XM3 (?). XM3 sound a bit better due to a better processor, but after adjusting the EQ on the 800N, they sound very similar to me. Really recommend them and really don't recommend the Jabra 65t.
for their premium buds they really need to come up with a smaller case, better design and a better naming scheme for godsake. i love sony cause they have amazing sound for the price
These are great, I got ADHD so I like to listen to music while I do things to help me focus (sounds counter-intuitive, I know but it really isn’t) so the ambient noise mode is amazing, and the anc is also amazing-though a bit below the airpods pro that I lost last year😢- they cost 100 bucks less though so the fact they’re this good is impressive honestly.
sorry about your loss :-( i know it sucks. one of my true wireless JBLs jumped out of my ear when i hit a little pothole on my bike. went right down the sewer 😭
good t thanks for your videos ... I start by saying that I have tried almost all true wireless high-end but none as complete as these, starting with its sound so good, a volume also very good, clear, everything depends on your wonderful app, If you have the best USB player pro or BOOM app, for me the two best music players in the store, the perfect grip without fear of falling does not get too much into the ear canal like the jabra elite active 75t that are very good too but these new sony are my favorite toy ... just one thing I did not like is that the charging box shows very poor quality does not feel good and a little big but nothing that is not resolved, now when you put them on and configure the sony app is another thing there if you notice premium, the noise cancellation is fine not like others on the market but it works well. The perfect touch controls, to achieve a volume control in one of the headphones they will have to configu rar in the sony app how bad they have to change it or because of the playback functions or because of the noise cancellation and transparent mode, they can configure it to increase the maximum volume and then remove that configuration thanks for the attention given ...
Quite interesting. I’ve been looking at them now for a while but was unsure if to get them or not. I love my Powerbeats Pro and if these can compare, plus the ANC, that’s a huge plus. I recently got the XB900N and if the ANC is like those, then its “okay” for most uses. Might actually get them.
I still use these as my gym earphones. Love the thumping bass, it really pushes me to workout harder. But I'm getting a bit bored by the design so I got Sennheiser Sport True Wireless over the weekend. I haven’t tried them on yet. Would you make a video comparison between sports-oriented earbuds with the two I mentioned plus a few other ones?
How is the ambient mode? I have the jaybird vistas which don't have that feature so sometimes I have to use one earbud at a time. I wanted the wf 1000xm3s but they don't have water protection so they will be useless for outside activities much less working out.
I picked up the 800n about 2 weeks ago and they sounded pretty good. I kept looking for more comparison videos like this but couldn't find any that did direct comparison. So thank you. I did however get a little too curious so I took them back and picked up the 1000xm3. I'll admit I think they sound better but the fit is so bad I can't find a tip that makes them stay in. Left one fell out while biking. Plus they aren't IP rated, so I'm taking them back too. Guess the Seinheisers are next $$$ 😔
@@sayantanmukherjee5228 not bad I can hear people just fine but I think people hear me better on 1000s. That said unless in in a quiet place even the 1000s aren't great. I think if you are truly looking for work out earbuds 800n is way to go. If like to see them compared to the Seinheisers twm2
It seems foam tips are necessary for good fit and to not fall out. I’m leaning towards the 800N due to working out and going wireless. A shame Bose 500/700 aren’t out yet.
The call quality on the sennheisers is worse than the Sony's plus the fact that you can't use the left bud independently is a deal breaker on the Sennys. Panasonic is releasing a new True wireless ear phone on july 20th you can preorder it on Amazon for $155, these have the almost all the features (no aptx, but you can use each earbud independently) as the Sennys at half the price.
I got these on sale for $148 at best buy and they are great. I wouldn't use them as everyday buds but for what they are designed for which is working out they are great. They were my go to for calls until I got my technics az70w buds.
Do you think there'll be an upgrade to XB900n? Because I'm really confused right now as the Hear on 3 and CH710 are out too and it's making me believe they'll upgrade the XB900n. What do you think? Should I just get the 900ns or wait for the newer version?
Do they fall out of your ears easily? I always have issues with earbuds when it comes to that, they always end up falling out if I don’t stuff them deep into my ears which hurt?
@Gymcaddy Can you do a video comparing this with the wf-xb700? Having trouble deciding between the two. I am a bass head but I also appreciate customizable eq settings and features. Sound quality is the most important to me and bass!
Which one did you get? I’m not sure about getting the Jabra 75t or Sony Sp800N since I have small ears and the Sony’s supposedly hurt after a long time of wearing them..
Do not get the Jabra! I've had both and the Sony wx1000 blow them out of the water....please don't waste your money they don't have true noise canceling g either, they tried an update to fix it but not even a quarter as good as the sonys
are my buds defect? Just got them few days ago, and the volume is quite low, though the sound quality is good. Compared to my Galaxy buds Live, these Sony 800N only manages about 40 percent of Galaxy Bud Live's volume, please, enlighten me.
Personally, the only reason the WF-SP800N is not my choice of everyday earphones is the lack of earhooks, since I travel for work, even though the eartips that come with these fit securely. Both Anker Soundcore Spirit X2 and Plantronic Backseat Fit 3200 are my daily-to go earphones with long battery life (at least 8 hours) and earhook.
Small ear hooks compare to the two I mentioned, while they still sit quite secured in the ears, I would not wear them during more intensive activities. In fact, compare to Sony WF-SP800N, the Anker Soundcore Spirit X 2 have better IP rating, and support AAC, AptX, and SBC codecs. The charging case offers more charges. The downsides are they are almost supported by Soundcore app and no active noise canceling with shorter playtime.

I just returned my sp800n to the Sony shop. They were not very pleased and tried to explain their way out of my issues for over 30 minutes. 1. He explained that the Noise Cancelling is not a separate feature, its controlled by the ambiance balance, this means you cant have both working separately although the feature "Noise Cancelling" is a separate feature turned on and off in the left Bud. So that gets an "F" Mark. 2. If you want to be able to Pause, Fwd, Back your music then you cannot control the volume from the head set. It's either one or the other. This is why there is no where in the short instruction that tells you how to change the volume. Very Silly. The salesman said you cant find an ear bud that has all the controls but I've been using Jabra's for 3 years and they do it all without changing modes in the App. 3. If you want the feature on where the headphones detect your environment, then you'll have to put up with the left ear bud stopping and starting every time it switches between environment modes. Very annoying. 4. I told him the sound is not as good as Sennheiser M3IETW-C Which are a pretty old model, but I purchased the Sony's because of the ear fit, his answer was yes your right you'd have to compare those with the 1000's. So all in all the SP800's are not really fit for purpose and the Sony staff are not very well informed about their product or the market around them. He was pretty Narky and I doubt I'd every try them again.
It seems like “workout earbuds” positioning is just a good marketing, because I personally own a pair of 75t’s and I see no way they fall out of my ears when I move and they sound good while their case is small and they really have a good amount of bass if you need it. And I think that’s the case with a majority of 150$+ earbuds. That workout earbuds thing is just a way to get past the competition and make people buy inferior product just because it looks like it’s designed specifically for one activity and can serve its purpose better than others.
I think next time you should call each of these lengthy earbuds with a nickname like the SP and the WF, I feel bad hearing you repeating their full name over and over lol

You gloss over battery so much. With no ANC the sp800n hits 13 hours in a single charge without the case. That's not keeping up with the competition, for Google and apple that's over DOUBLE the battery on a single charge
I'm aware that that this is just an opinion but the WF-SP800N are my worst earphones so far. And was a Sony fan until this product. As for the sound I have no complaints but the fit - well, they just don't fit at all, no matter what supplied option I choose. They are constantly falling out of my ears. IMHO a terrible purchase.
