"It's so good to see you happy, smile" spoken like a true V bias 🥺 I'm so happy you are checking the album, can't wait for your upload to the remaining tracks
Please watch these channels "Bookish Theories", "Xceleste" and "DKDKTV" for many explanations and analysis of BTS and other Kpop artists' songs/music video.
So glad you checked out bookish theories. I love her videos and they really help me understanding hidden symbolism and the deep concepts. I have watched all her BTS videos. Mind blowing. So many layers. So many of BTS songs are so deep with layers and layers of meaning. Even some of the performances include tons of symbolism. For example, if you watch the MMA 2019 awards show performance you will be blown away with the performance and dancing but when you watch the bookish theories breakdown of that performance it gets deep into jungian psychology and the show progresses from the external persona then transitions into the internal shadow of ourselves. It includes a lot of astrological symbolism with the use of Saturn and what that planet symbolizes and constellations and Greek mythology. It is sooooooo deep. I watched it 25 times and never caught on to any of it.
Huge congrats for watching Bookush Theories she has some of the best analyses and breakdowns around. I just adore people who take the time to watch her vids!! The depth of BTS (aside from full English songs) is incredible.
I really enjoyed watching your reaction. V's album is so meaningful and well put together; definitely pulls at one's heart. I absolutely love the song " For Us". I hope to see you react to it. 💜
What I love about this is like his whole album revolves around his dog Yeontan that you can find this cute little easter eggs from him for instances like here 0:22, 0:26 you could see Tannie's face on the hills, you could see here highlighting it 0:46, and this one 1:16 a cloud silhouette of a dog😂 just shows how he really love and cares for Yeontan💜 Edit: nvm he watched the explanation vid😭
First of all, Thank you for watching the explanations whether for V, Jungkook or even all the members of bts and bts in general each music is meaningful Each music tells a story and has a lot of hidden elements ! I hope you discover the other albums of the members of BTS and the story behind Seeing that you like the kind of music that Taehyung offers us is really good to hear and seeing that you are invested makes us very happy ! Thank you !💜
Ohh man....just to blow your mind, this is one of the easier to digest artistic nuances. If you genuinely enjoy diving deep, bts and its members solos will show you a new standard of lyrical and artistic intricacy you have never experienced. For example a very simple and very non detailed explanation of progression of bts discography: shows the growth from school boys to the tribulations of youth, to addressing temptation, to reaching maturity, to loving onself, to finding the core essence of the mind (i work in the field of psychology and i have yet to find an artist that is as profound as bts in accurately potraying psychological themes) to fighting the pandemic to now doing solo albums as each of the bts members complete their mandatory military. They will come back as a group in 2025! Each member has a massive personal and artistic history that is further intertwined with a fictional storyline that runs throughout the bts discography known as the 'Bangtan Universe'. Each music video is layered with a multitude of details. What you reacted of suga for example is from his album which is part of a trilogy that makes a storyline that perfectly articulates his alter ego (agust d), the artist of bts (suga) and the person min yoongi (suga's real name). All this without even addressing linguistic capabilities in their lyrics. The rappers infact are critically acclaimed for their wordplay. Their lyricism is so impactful that it has made so many fall in love with the language. It all starts with videos like this breaking down Korean lyrics and the nuance behind it. The language and history becomes so intriguing that you would take to learn the language to get through the idioms and more. In short: bts is where it is due to their critically acclaimed artistry. Then only comes performance and all other factors.
V has made a beautiful album, very much his own style, very laid back. Watching this reaction this morning I am sadly aware that the remaining guys are now in the process of moving to joining up for their mandatory military service. RM, V, Jimin and Jungkook are all packing up and finishing off their projects. So ARMY now will wait for 2025. 😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨 So please dive right in and experience all the wonderful music BTS has produced. ARMY will love to experience your sincere and respectful appreciation along with you.
Tysm for your growing interest in our precious BTS ~ members! Looking forward to walking this path with you! WELCOME! Thx for reacting to #SlowDancing by #BTSV
So glad you're deep diving into Layover. BTS' music and videos have deep meaning and symbolism. Their lyrics and words convey their true feelings and reveals their genuine love for music and for ARMY. That's why they are the best and they do not belong to Kpop anymore. They have a leaugue of their own. I suggest you react to more of BTS music. I promise you will be mindblown💜💜💜
My favourite track on the EP is Rainy Days. It seems to come bottom on people's lists, but I love the slow hip hop beat, as that is how I got into BTS. (through the rapline)💜
Man I couldn't finish the vedio before telling you that , every BTS songs with or without MV has a special and deep meaning you need to read under the lines to understand their music is a masterpiece this why they came so far they don't sing for singing they transmit messages through their songs so it's famous because of the poetry lyrics and meanings not because it's catchy without meaning as you said
Thank you for that reaction. It’s always heartwarming to see people discover BTS songs on their own. It’s been really funny to hear you admit you didn’t expect V’s music video to be so meaningful and full of hints and creativity. When it comes to BTS it’s always like that if not more and I’m curious how much more you’ll choose to dig in eventually. I’m still waiting for you to give up mentioning k-pop in your BTS reactions though, cause they really don’t fit in that category at all. As many other comments have said before, K-pop is the industry and NOT a music gender. Assuming any Korean language song or even English language song by a Korean artist is automatically k-pop is like insisting ABBA or Roxette were never pop groups just because they came from Sweden. It is true BTS was created as a k-pop group meaning they had been signed-in by a label, lived and trained together to become a team and debut. And that’s it. Everything else they did and are still doing now proves they are nothing like other Korean idols who in many cases match the stereotype you mentioned and tbh are the reason for that stereotype to exist. First of all BTS members make their own music. Almost 90% of their songs are written and produced by the members. They were originally not even a pop but a hip-hop group which was unheard of in the k-pop industry at that time. Since then, they’ve covered many genres including R&B you appreciated so much listening to V’s solos. All their 10-year carrier they’ve been struggling with people trying to downgrade their achievements and box them up in a narrow concept of a cute poppy boy band while in reality all seven of them are impossible to categorize because they are true artists saying their own message and constantly experimenting with their music as a group and as soloists. That kind of artistic freedom is unique in the idol industry and makes BTS stand out even more. I think that’s the main reason so many international Armies are not k-pop fans at all but simply people appreciating genuine honest music no matter the language or cultural background. 💜 Borahe
All BTS albums , group or solo are so well thought..you will be mind blowned over & over again & again..welcome to the rabbit hole 😊..you will NOT be disappointed! #borahae
So seeing you already reacting to explanation vids after a song and getting blown away by it, already made me looking forward for more BTS future reactions, since there's not so many ppl reacting to explanations whenever they watch an MV by them, but then gets confused after. I'm already wondering what reaction you'd be making once you see other masterpieces from them like Blood Sweat and Tears, Black Swan, Fake Love and Spring Day and their explanations.. just hoping here that you make a habit of songs then explanation bc there's always one for every song by BTS and ARMYs 😂🤞
The video, explaination videos, dance practice videos, behind the scenes videos, live performances videos, the list goes on and on for every single song! I had stopped doing Patreon, but think I’ll join his, because he’s actually going deep into them. I’m learning new things, so WORTH IT
The Beautiful Moment in Life by BTS is 2 albums. They continue their conversation with themselves and us about youth. V's dog Yeontan is very old and ill. V is trying to make memories with his beloved dog before he loses him. This year some of the members lost pets. It was sad.
K-pop songs I would agree to some degree is mainly catchy songs with not much meaning. There are a few exceptions that put more thought into the music and BTS in my opinion are the ones that popularized creativity in your own music in the industry. I am a mature, older fan and don’t waste time stanning over bands/artists. But BTS forced their way into my life and heart. Ppl don’t realize how deep their lyrics/messages go, and BTS is beyond music. They promote authenticity, integrity, humanity, positivity, and the list goes on. But not in an annoyingly fake positive kind of way. They also show us the struggles and mental issues that they go through. Which makes it much more real and relatable. If you’re mind blown with this explanation, you’re not going to survive some of their other art. Many of BTSs work is literally art. And their leader (RM) was a poet before becoming an idol so his lyrics are poetry. I see that you have reacted to some other groups as well. As a mature army, I understand and believe that people have different tastes in music. Ppl are free to enjoy what they enjoy. But I do hope you recognize that BTS and their members take their music a bit more seriously then some others and not group them up with everything else out there. They don’t need to be your favs, but they should be respected for their art and everything they’ve done for themselves, for their fans, for their country, and for the music industry. They have been fighting for the underdogs and fighting the music industry to be more authentic. That deserves respect as it benefits all artists. You will see the downside of K-pop, and that will be the fanwars. Don’t get caught up in that. Excited to see your journey with BTS. Unfortunately the remaining members just announced that they will be enlisting in the coming month/months, but you have 10 years of content to catch up on so you have plenty to react to. They also will be leaving us with new content while they are away that will be released every now and then. They have big brains and care for their fandom, they plan way in advance.
i actually think BTS follow Shinee's example. They are a 15yr group and also focus on great vocals, dancing, and songs with feelings. They have songs for their fans and BTS have said they have inspired them. I know Epic High was also a huge influence to BTS.
The ENTIRETY of BTS’ music is connected and symbolic. Complete genius behind all their stuff. Not only does the fandom love them for their music, their very personal interactions from the beginning, but, also, how they’ve created intellectual content-addressing social issues, mental health, and generic life. It’s why they’re HUGE and Global. The game is to watch/listen and find the hidden messages. 😂😂
G theories is a blog covering lyrics of the love yourself series if interested. Once in the rabbit hole it is hard to get out. We love keep me busy for the next 18 months
your brain will boil when you fall down the rabbit hole in Bangtan Universe, in addition to the MVs, there are mini-movies, a comic (on a webtoon), notes (3 books), 2 games (for a smartphone) and all this was combined into a drama series that should be released in soon... and after military services (in 2025)perhaps we will have a continuation of the “HYYH” albums. So yeah, the meaning is part of the kpop industry, and that's what attracted me the most.
If I remember correctly, V was not trying to get back a love he lost, but trying to get back to the person he was, and trying to remember all the memories that he made along the way with the other members. The guys have all struggled with trying to find who they are as individuals, which is why they felt solo albums where so important for them to do. They also mention this in their last Festa show they had as BTS.
Please react to all the members albums 🥹 JIN :The Astronaut (he will release his album after the military service) Rm: album INDIGO Yoongi aka AGUST D : D-Day Jhope : Jack in the box Jimin : Face
If you want to listen to a song with a ton of unexpected messages, check out BTS' "Spring Day". There is also a Spring Day explanation video. It's all sooo impressive and was a huge hit for BTS as it has a lot of meaning for South Koreans. It is BTS' response to the Sewol Ferry Disaster.
lol wait till you dive into BTS albums, honestly, their concepts are on another level. That's why they're so big, everything they do has a message, story, and deeper meaning. Welcome aboard!
If you like these connections you will love going through the things in Bantang Universe (BU) .. connected music videos, short films that have a shared theme and repeating symbols which make already great songs like Black Swan even more meaningful.
Zizi K. said on 6/23/21 Kpop is not a genre actually, it's an industry because groups can choose whatever genre they want. I know you can listen to like one or two songs from a singer or group and get the gist of their sound but with BTS, their discography is so varied that you need to listen to a variety of the music to get who they are. Rayna said on 1/29/22 The first thing to understand is, that "K-Pop" is not really just a genre, it's more a whole industry.. As SUGA (one of the BTS members) once said: "I’m a little careful to talk about K-pop as a genre, because I don’t want to be defining Kpop as a genre. I’m a little bit wary of that, but I think rather than approach Kpop as a genre, a better approach would be ‘integrated content.' K-pop includes not just the music, but the clothes, the makeup, the choreography…all these elements I think sort of amalgamate together in a visual and auditory content package, that I think sets it apart from other music or maybe other genres so again, as I said, rather than approach K-pop as it’s own genre I think approaching it as this integration of different content would be better.” BTS is more than just K-Pop. There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists in BTS. Also I recommend you some songs, that show their diversity: - ON Kinetic Manifesto Film (Music Video) - Mic Drop (Music Video) - Blood, Sweat & Tears (Music Video) - Blue & Grey (MTV Unplugged) - Dis-ease (Lyric video) - Magic Shop (Live) only the rapline: - Outro: Tear (Live) - UGH (Lyric Video) - Cyphers 1-4 (Lyric Video) & Cypher Medley only the vocal line: - The Truth Untold (Live) - House of Cards (Live) - Dimple (Live) I was also never a boyband kinda girl... My taste is/was more stuff like Disturbed, Papa Roach, Flogging Molly etc., until I found them and I'm so glad I did.. 😁👍💜 Jade Melon said on 6/23/21 Their voices are easy to tell apart because only 4 are vocalists, each with distinct voices: Jin, 30yo, the tall lanky one has a "lifted palette" sound and is great at hitting those piercing/belting notes. Jungkook, youngest member 26yo, has the quintessential pop sound (think Bieber) and has the most control over his voice which is why he usually does the runs and ad libs (though Jimin has a lot of awesome ad libs in this particular song). Jimin, 28yo, pretty, lead dancer, is known for his airy light delicate voice. He has some of the most beautiful range of tones IMO V, 27yo, has the gorgeous, round, soulful voice, and can go low and deep but also high and belting (really, all the singers in BTS have an amazing vocal range and can all go high) Once you get the singers out of the way, then you have the 3 rappers. These are easy, cuz there's less of them...and they have their own distinct style. This song doesn't really show the rappers' full capability, but you can still get a glimpse of those unique styles: Suga, 30yo, 2nd rapper, lead , usually has a slightly, how-do-I explain it....low-key savage/dangerous tone? and a little bit of a lisp. He plays with his voice sometimes using inflection on certain words. RM, 29yo, 1st rapper, main (official leader of BTS), has a very solid American rapper boom-bap style. Deep voice. Can sound smooth or aggressive. J-Hope, 29yo, 3rd rapper , lead, usually he's the "hype" rapper of the group songs and singles, but he is a talented rapper in his own right. He has the most distinctive voice IMO, very laid-back vibe, but can be savage and sarcastic sounding. Main dancer.
LOL BTS all their videos and lyrics are very deep and poetic - so every video you watch of BTS - look for all the details! Bookish theories explains a lot of their music!
Wait you reacted to 'For Us'? I didn't see it when I was checking out your BTS reactions. You mentioned enjoying slow tracks and acoustic sounds. I think you'd really like V's Tiny Desk performance. His vocals are just as smooth and rich live and it complements the live instruments so well. Also I have a feeling that you'd enjoy the BU (Bangtan Universe). They have several songs/MVs that span across multiple albums (+books, a mobile game, etc) to tell a fictional overarching storyline. We had lots of fun piecing together the story since it's not released in chronological story order. You might enjoy all of the hidden stuff and video explanations. It all stems from the album 'The Most Beautiful Moment in Life'.
Am not just saying this because am an ARMY but BTS music is so much deeper than anyother Korean music i have listened to, You have to put the subtitles on for every music video you listen to with BTS music and their Solo stuff because all their songs have deep meanings to them and sometimes hidden meaning that only an ARMY will know and recognise. For example BTS song SPRING DAY has an explanation for it.
This is your 3rd vid I watched. It's been fun watching you connect the dots and nerd out. Also, BTS songs are more of gender neutral since they've always aimed for inclusivity (aside from that i need you song). And as reflections on self, youth, and philo-sociocultural rather than non romantic relationships, except for War of Hormone era and our Jungkookie's album. 😅🙃(Which could be said as a taster to what they could accomplish once all obligations have been done.) Bookish theories is a good choice in BTS analysis vids, also DKDKTV is, esp with relation to Korean culture.
Thanks for the reaction. I'm happy you've found your bias but be for warned that BTS members have a way a squeaking up on you when you least expect it and forcing you to come over to there side. Running joke with ARMYs is that there's a reason there are seven days in the week, one for each member as we switch back and forth. To your comment regarding depth in music and kpop, I would say that you are not wrong or the most part. MOST kpop is good beats, good dancing, and pretty ppl with catchy tunes that mean nothing and can be thrown away after you listen to it a few times. However, that is not BTS. They are from the kpop industry but I wouldn't consider them kpop, rather Korean musician similar to other Korean musician that are not in the idol/kpop industry. BTS has always had deep and meaningful music since they debuted. It's what makes them special and what I believe has contributed to them being the largest group/band in the world. The philosopher Nietzsche, psychologist Carl Jung, the bible, Greek mythology, what do those things have in common? "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" This one video will give you a real perspective on BTS and their music and story telling. Please react to the official MV from BangtanTV (BTS' official channel), and when you do please watch the explanation video. ua-cam.com/video/5tlgAUE6yjg/v-deo.html You will be even more blown away than you were with this one. Hope you enjoy the journey as you explore the other members and get to learn the group as a whole.
oh, please, oh please do react to Blood, Sweat, and Tears!! No spoilers, but there's a WTF moment in there where I want to watch your face. Someone should do a compilation video of reactors to BS&T, with just that moment.
Deep lyrics, complex videos subject to interpretation, beautifully produced music…this is classic BTS. Even JK’s album (which was largely produced by western producers) carry nuances.
"It's so good to see you happy, smile" spoken like a true V bias 🥺
I'm so happy you are checking the album, can't wait for your upload to the remaining tracks
V is unique, he is artist

We got the military service notice from the company today 😭 V, JK, Jimin and RM are all enlisting together next month
your brain will boil when you fall down the rabbit hole in Bangtan Universe, in addition to the MVs, there are mini-movies, a comic (on a webtoon), notes (3 books), 2 games (for a smartphone) and all this was combined into a drama series that should be released in soon... and after military services (in 2025)perhaps we will have a continuation of the “HYYH” albums.
So yeah, the meaning is part of the kpop industry, and that's what attracted me the most.
I love your Wow’s 🥰✨💖I have been there for a couple of years🥰
Hej,obejrzyj Tiny Desk Korea,Tae śpiewa z zespołem,Coś niesamowitego.
Thanks for such a wonderful review
Please react to all the members albums 🥹
JIN :The Astronaut (he will release his album after the military service)
Rm: album INDIGO
Yoongi aka AGUST D : D-Day
Jhope : Jack in the box
Jimin : Face

Kpop is not a genre actually, it's an industry because groups can choose whatever genre they want. I know you can listen to like one or two songs from a singer or group and get the gist of their sound but with BTS, their discography is so varied that you need to listen to a variety of the music to get who they are.

The first thing to understand is, that "K-Pop" is not really just a genre, it's more a whole industry..
As SUGA (one of the BTS members) once said:
"I’m a little careful to talk about K-pop as a genre, because I don’t want to be defining Kpop as a genre. I’m a little bit wary of that, but I think rather than approach Kpop as a genre, a better approach would be ‘integrated content.' K-pop includes not just the music, but the clothes, the makeup, the choreography…all these elements I think sort of amalgamate together in a visual and auditory content package, that I think sets it apart from other music or maybe other genres so again, as I said, rather than approach K-pop as it’s own genre I think approaching it as this integration of different content would be better.”
BTS is more than just K-Pop.
There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists in BTS.
Also I recommend you some songs, that show their diversity:
- ON Kinetic Manifesto Film (Music Video)
- Mic Drop (Music Video)
- Blood, Sweat & Tears (Music Video)
- Blue & Grey (MTV Unplugged)
- Dis-ease (Lyric video)
- Magic Shop (Live)
only the rapline:
- Outro: Tear (Live)
- UGH (Lyric Video)
- Cyphers 1-4 (Lyric Video) & Cypher Medley
only the vocal line:
- The Truth Untold (Live)
- House of Cards (Live)
- Dimple (Live)
I was also never a boyband kinda girl... My taste is/was more stuff like Disturbed, Papa Roach, Flogging Molly etc., until I found them and I'm so glad I did..
😁👍💜

Their voices are easy to tell apart because only 4 are vocalists, each with distinct voices:
Jin, 30yo, the tall lanky one has a "lifted palette" sound and is great at hitting those piercing/belting notes.
He has some of the most beautiful range of tones IMO
V, 27yo, has the gorgeous, round, soulful voice, and can go low and deep but also high and belting (really, all the singers in BTS have an amazing vocal range and can all go high)
Once you get the singers out of the way, then you have the 3 rappers. These are easy, cuz there's less of them...and they have their own distinct style. This song doesn't really show the rappers' full capability, but you can still get a glimpse of those unique styles:
Suga, 30yo, 2nd rapper, lead , usually has a slightly, how-do-I explain it....low-key savage/dangerous tone? and a little bit of a lisp.
New subscriber, thanks for going deeper than just the song. Looking forward to when I can join your patreon.
Who is going to tell him about the BU? (Bangtan Universe).
😅🙃(Which could be said as a taster to what they could accomplish once all obligations have been done.)
Bookish theories is a good choice in BTS analysis vids, also DKDKTV is, esp with relation to Korean culture.
Please watch MAMA 2019, 2018 award's performance of BTS
wait until you react to BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS.... hehehehe
The 🐰 Rabbit 🕳️ Hole has begun. Dude, you’re so screwed. 😂😂😂

React on bts songs first then come to solo songs
Next jimin 💜 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Deep lyrics, complex videos subject to interpretation, beautifully produced music…this is classic BTS. Even JK’s album (which was largely produced by western producers) carry nuances.
Do you know there is romer v and jk together in love
