It's armor can actually withstand 50. cals from the front and the upper plate can randomly bounce anything in the game. While being thin enough to not set of aphe fuses. So perfect armor pretty much.
@@thermiafps3320 your thinking maybe 9M14 Malyutka (nato - Sagger) bmp 1 had one mounted over the barrel , gunner fires it from inside using his controls I think . This version is just pintle mounted with no connections inside the vehicle afaik .
Stock atgm is remote controlled from inside the tank, it also could be loaded from the inside as well, the 1p mod adds a new atgm, but the gunner needs to get out of the turret to shoot and load it.
To answer question about operating ATGM on BMP-1: yes, you could operate it from positions inside turret. No need for standing up for shooting. Reloading was made manually, reaching out from hatch. Only there was no ATGM “Конкурс” on most BMP-1. Usually they were without any ATGM or had very old "Малютка" ATGM's. This ATGM "Конкурс" was only on very late production models and export models. All BMP-1's what I have seen in soviet army, where whit this "Малютка" or without any ATGM system at all. This 73mm smoothbore "cannon" was in real life useless against MBT's. BMP -1 is just next level from driving civil vehicles to combat. But in some real life BMP-1's was a place for store AA rocket "Игла" (I never saw that thing, but the place was there!). I think addition of that extra would have turned BMP-1 in War Thunder into some sort of Mordor death harvester, like tank-shaped objects shown at parades in North-Korea.
Not rly, at the Moment u cant play anything else than germans at high tier. U will get rushed and clapped by the g91, very Funny. Russia has like 40 % winrate at high tier. If i play the germans at high tier then i have a 60 % winrate lol. Sounds balanced.
@@dragonlord3504 Sounds funny to me, I have more than 70% win rate with russians at top tier ( T-80U, MiG-21 and Ka-52 ) / high tier ( BMP-2M, T-64 and MiG-17AS ). You just need to play a tank as it is supposed to be played ( aimbush in BMPs, take a good position in MBTs and not rushing zones in down tier/middle tier AA systems ). Btw killing germans tanks at toptier is really easy with russian APFSDS and ATGM, only Leopard 2A5 and 2A6 have good turrets, and top armor is nothing against GSH-23 or GSH-30. Better play germans at 5.7 or even 1.0, I have a pretty strong lineup Edit: just take cover ( if possible) when you see a G.91

In the defence of the shoebox, the turbodiesel always makes you happy, it's kinda like the pattons in that regard. You dont care how your battle is going, the big o' whistle that the Pattons and Shoeboxes make, just bring a smile to yer face lol

german roundels on your soviet tank, is a bug that's been there for a long time, but been super common since new power. is basically when you have the standard skin loaded, and the game can´t really figure out which nation you belong to, so it will quite often assign you the standard skin of a different nation. if you use any skin other than the standard it dont happen anymore. this also happens in the Chaffees, Hellcats, Leopard 1A5s, G91.R/4s, Centurion Mk.3s, and these are just from what ive personally noticed.
Yea the ZBD86 (China BMP-1) gets a tandem warhead ATGM (tough a very slow one), with 800mm pen. on its upgrade, on the same BR, but it stuck with both original loading systems (ATGM+gun).
Gotta love the bmp-1, instead of picking the best tank first, cuz i got the German version I use the Leo 1 as my best tank, if I rush, they usually will be off guard and that’s when i get my kill and ether get in a jet or any of my other 7.7 vehicles.

Hey odd pretty sure they changed how heat works, I was in the SU-122 and shot a puma and a marder with its heat and didn’t hull break either of them, I also noticed it’s post pen damage is non existent and now it takes multiple shots to kill the enemy even with side shots
The BMP-1 is fine at 7.3. The gun is the primary and the missile is just a nice little bonus. That being said, the gun is more or less on par or worse than all the other heat-slinging vehicles at 7.3 and the launcher only has 4 missiles. It's also one of the only competitive light tanks the Soviets get and I rather not see it nerfed into the ground.
@Oddbawz at 27:48, he didnt machine gun the atgm i think, what happened was tank husk models are not modeled correctly, so regardless of the orientation of the barrel that is shown, the hit box is as if the tank is facing forward like it is in the hanger. At least this was the case in multiple games for me when I had shots blocked by nonexistent ghost barrels because the husk's turret was facing away

The ATGM is remote fired. Honestly i use this thing in my 9.0 German lineup. It is surprisingly good, just lacks a stabilizer
irl the gunner has to turn out to operate the launcher , just like the Milan on the Warrior .

Since my first fight against the bmp I realised how absurd it is that the atgm boxes are at a much bigger br than this thing.

More pen doesn't matter when you can already pen everything with the 600mm pen atgm.
Once you get the upgraded missile this thing is straight up lethal
For me the only let down for this vehicle is the gun handling. Slow traverse, minus 4 depression, and low velocity main cannon and "only" 4 atgm.
