    Still its true that cancer cells use a lot more glucose than normal cells. It might be that we cannot change a lot the amount of glucose in the blood because of the regulation by insuline but even when the body has for say half an hour a higher glucose level the cancer cells will suck relatively more of the glucose is my guess.

      We cannot stop cancer from taking the glucose it needs.
      Broccoli, carrots, whole grains, and all other good carbs will be turned to glucose.
      Cancer will use however much glucose it needs to grow, and if there's not enough available then it will first use glucose stored in the liver and muscles, then it will signal to the body to break down fats and protein (muscle) and turn them into glucose. This is why those with late stage cancer which is bulky will suffer from wasting disease where they become gaunt and looking like skin and bone.

      They are just another form of sugar with added minerals or other nutrients. As there's no fibre they will raise the blood sugar levels very quickly.
