Since discovering the Synthwave genre I think I finally found the music that I was longing for. I has everything - sadness, nostalgia, hope and joy. Utopia and dystopia. It is retro yet also futuristic and relevant nowadays. It always makes me think of deep space travels. Thanks to all artists who create these masterpieces!
ecvent0r I concur with your entire message. This music conveys that exact emotion. A longing for futurism and also a nostalgia for a time long gone. Good day
This song is like your last summer as a kid before becoming a "man," before being devoured by society and all its schemes, you can feel the sun on your face, no school, no adults, just you, your bike, some videogames and the joy of being free with your last minutes of childhood slipping away like sand from your hands second after second.
i like to imagine music genres as characters. metal is always the big and overconfident center of attention, jazz is the moral support, pop is the brains, alternative is the wild card. country is the comic relief and synthwave is the quiet, rational one with the overpowered ability.
I cannot express to you the amount of emotions that just fill me with this. This genre is insane and I hope everyone can one day experience these emotions. It's so overwhelming it's nothing like you've ever seen before. I'd love to hear more of this.
@@TeChNoWC7 then ill tell you; i found the emotion i was looking for but i discovered i was only feeling it because of loneliness. i felt its warmth only because i would reminisce about the past because i knew the present was cold and lonely. and i still do feel that emotion often but ive worked on defining that feeling as serenity rather than loneliness because it'll remind me of my search for the true me. the feeling has led me to believe that loneliness usually comes to unique individuals, and it wasn't because there was anything wrong with me
There is so much scientific interest here. Why do these particular tones and frequencies evoke such a strong mental reaction? It's not like the typical dopamine response from music you like, it's nostalgic, and kindve calming. Wonder if only certain personality types feel this

If you’re reading this & battling depression, just know it’s ok to cry. It’s ok to isolate yourself for long periods of time. It’s ok to be weak. It’s ok to have complete anxiety when someone texts you and you don’t want to text back. But it’s not ok to give up and it’s not ok to lose hope. You are special and I love you and I strongly believe every one of us will overcome this darkness and find happiness.

@@theworldlywarrior Very good advice man. Though I dare to say that's only theory. Tell me, have you fought depression yourself? For God's sake, even getting out of bed is a tremendous pain in the ass. How can you feel like wanting to do anything else but feel sorry about yourself and mad at your own inability to do anything remotely good to help yourself? and how to cope with failing tries without going back to the depression hole again? In practice is not easy at all. Man, I keep trying and trying and sometimes it seems like there's no other way but going backwards. It's so frustrating and annoying and most of the time I'm in bad mood and that just makes people not wanting to be near me and that keeps me lonely and sad, and yet again I'm here in the fucking same place where everything started. And then, to top it all, if you have another mental illness, you are more than fucked up, you can even wonder why you are still alive. Tell me man, have you felt like that before? I thank you though for trying to help people like us man. Have a nice day.
