This is 2/22 Only done 2x This song has been known as Looking at You and was long assumed to be a Dave Matthews original however it is actually a loose cover of a song made popular by Scott Fitzgerald & Yvonne Keeley in 1977 and featured in the movie Babe. While Dave's lyrics are almost completely improvised, the song is obviously based on If I Had Words

@joyride40 It's actually a cover with Dave doing his own lyrics I guess, and it's called "If I Had Words." This is either from 2.22 or 2.23.97. Look up that song on dmbalmanac and you'll find it.
Dave Matthews has a few songs that never really have set lyrics (say goodbye) so it makes sense he’d cover someone else’s song and just make up his own lyrics haha. This is way better than the song it’s based on though
@Lynch6833 why would you say that?? The lyrics are 100% different just because it has a similar rift of that 1977 song don't make it the same song.. aka listen to #27 ,Hello Again and Neil Young's Down by the river music not the lyrics there all almost the same song.
I love love loooooovvvveeee you Dave, but this song just doesnt do it for me. I liked the lyrics alot though, but not the melody. This would make a kick-ass poem.
