It was not always like this. This crap, started by Microsoft, spread east to NYC by 1995, and then moved into tech massively 1997 and onward. It has everything to do with visa, which is a source of both cheap and indentured.

I feel for your pain. I would suggest keeping your eyes open for opportunities in other countries where you permanently settled right away. It's horrible to spend 30 years in the USA to get a green card for an Indian.
Reaz Ahmed Hello Sir, I m planning to move to Canada. I need some information about good places to live , consultancy and cost of living . Please provide some information when you get a chance , really helpful for me .
This was very good information. I also watched the video on H1B visa problems. Truth is better to return to india and start business then live with uncertainty and insecurity in a foreign land. Did you come to USA for Education or to be a Permanent Resident...? whats your intent? Post videos that are realistic, don't talk your drama... I clearly see that you are also a Desi who is blaming Desi... shame on you. First, have a Goal and then achieve it, dont blame anyone till you dont have your own self realization. You used US F1 to get into US and now want to get greencard...? think before you comment. sorry brother, you keep saying Desi...Desi.. why dint you get into the US company, they dont discriminate if you are skilled. I know a lot of OPT's in Google, Ebay, MCAfee, Verifone, they are sharp and companies fight to hire them. Get yourself skilled before you blame others, your videos look like wiping tears of your friends and family. Grow up
You're trying to have a serious conversation with someone who knows little on the topic. The reason companies fight to hire OPTs is because of the extensive tax breaks for OPT hires and no wage floors/wage rates set.
Students from India does not know anything about the H1B rules and OPT visa rules. They just think that once VISA is approved, their life is settled. And that is what immigration consultancy in India tell students by hiding actual struggle afterwards. Once VISA is approved, Student pays so much money for their education in USA. Once graduated they come to know about OPT/ STEM-OPT and H1B rules subsequently and gets frustrated. But by the time they get to know about all these stuff, they owe so much money to the banks for their education loan and try to recover it for couple of years. They live in a constant fear of loosing job and so the VISA status as incase if you loose the job you only have 60 days to find out the other which is related to your STEM degree. That is where this consultancy and staffing company comes to enjoy their feast from those student who are desperate to maintain their VISA status. Their mental health and sometimes the physical health's are so deteriorated there is nothing left in them. Most of the times they end up having low paying jobs and jobs with much stress and labor work. And if the Company is owned by Indian origin American, they suck the blood out of these students as they know that the student would do anything even if it is not the part of their job to maintain the Job and have them overworked and exhausted and sometimes students voluntarily does the overtime just to make the employer happy in order to keep the job safe. They goes to home at 6-7 PM or even more late with no time for cooking and end up having junk food. Gets some sleep and the cycle repeats. The things which hurt me the most is that when we advise the students in India about these scenario and ask them not to come to USA, they fire back with the universal question "Then why don't you come back?". And it is hard to explain them that we took the loan for the education and we need to recover it. It is not easy to move back just like that.
This is exactly the reason why people in US are pissed at H1-B right now. You cannot justify your actions by saying the 'end client' had crazy job requirements- so I faked my resume. Each hire with fake resume would mean one US person with real experience lost the job! I'm currently a F1 student here and luckily have a job at a firm which is willing to sponsor H1B (I've not got it yet). I have no experience with these 'desi inc' so I cannot comment on how they work, but faking your experience only to get hired is not right on any level! I have so many friends who did their masters here, and have not heard anyone saying things like these. Probably because they all got a degree from a 'decent' university. As many have mentioned in comments below it's certainly very easy to get an admit to a masters program in US- even for a 'just pass' person from India. But you should be careful in deciding the univ before arriving here. Just because you have a degree doesn't mean you are guaranteed you a job (no placement drives by mass recruiters here!). I know people who got degree from some top univs also struggle to get a job, but faking one's resume is taking it to a different level!! People end up spending hours and hours on LinkedIn, glassdoor, indeed etc. and try to reach out to as many people as possible to get a job. You really need to earn it (true for any country I guess). Why not try in other markets like Canada? It's fairly easy to get PR and find a job with some skills- real ones. Americans are fine if a 'qualified' person gets the job. The problem arises when the fake resume pattern continues and people lose their shit. While I don't support the current lottery process of obtaining H1Bs and the process of obtaining Green Card since I feel it's more about luck/fake than about merit, I definitely feel that the system is f*@&d up because of people/firms taking advantage of the system and finding loopholes! (these are also the people who would say India is full of corruption but are fine with getting a job this way!) I would rather not get selected in H1B lottery after my opt and curse the screwed up visa process than fake it to make it!! Just one question. How do you sleep at night??
Nice joke. There are much bigger scams that the west does with the global south, you should look at the bigger picture, you would do the same you failed to get H1B sponsor, easy to take a moral high-ground when you have no skin in the game.
Appreciate your candid videos. We Indians find loopholes in everything. Chal tha hai attitude. At the end everyone is happy making money except desperate students
They moved to Canada and work in Walmart and McDonalds. Canada doesn't have good jobs just food and grocery jobs. IT and other high paying jobs are in US only.
This is the most practiced and profitable business model for H1B, it's both wrong and right in its own ways. The only problem is the desi greedy consultings over do it and make it miserable for employees and as well as for clients. Any employer who is sponsoring you visa should make profit so they have no other option to make money so they are taking percentage from your salary. That's a fair part. Getting job might not be easy I guess, your employer may have to make good relationships with those vendors you mentioned , sometimes these relationships might cost them. So this is how it is. If clients hire according to their actual requirements and needs then 50% of h1bs will return to their home land.
Divyanth - I am gay and bothered by the arcane British laws in India against indecency. I come from a wealthy father and mother who is a doctor so I never learned to work for myself or accomplish anything.
welcome to reality, Slavery just evolved. you will have to work for years without any complain to get a US residence. in the US is everything about money. so you are an expert on the cheap. it is always up to you to join into the chairs game.by the way I love what your tshirt say it is a fact for many programmers
In quite a few instances companies put out these vague requirements deliberately because the director of that department does not want to lose the funding. It is very very easy to spot a fake resume person vs a person with real experience. But interviewer does not care because they have been instructed to hire someone, anyone. That is the sole reason vendors too won't have any requirements properly. And once you get hired, they will make you do silly stuff just to keep you busy. As much hate the people are putting towards the Indians , i personally believe it has nothing to do with them, it is the companies enabling this sort of scam.
I wouldn't waste your time even trying Canada. The economy there is tiny compared to the US. Not many jobs in Canada at all. Plus they really don't like hiring non whites. Most Canadian firms prefer hiring their own over immigrants. It's that old colonial racist mindset up there.
Not sure how you can even comment on anything else, when the only 2 countries you have probably only ever been to is Pakistan and Canada. What experience do you have of other countries around the world?
Answer my question? Except Canada and Pakistan, what other countries have you lived and worked in? You don't need to capitalize your comments, I can read quite clearly. I would also suggest learning the English language also. Switched careers 3 times? Don't you mean you switched jobs 3 times? A career vs a job is a whole different thing. Are you saying it's BS that the Canadian economy is tiny compared to the US? Are you that stupid? How do you compare an almost $20 trillion economy to a $1.6 trillion economy and say there are no more jobs in the US than Canada? You have never lived in the US, so how can you even remotely compare what the US is like compared to Canada? Or say England, France, Spain Italy etc.? Coming from Pakistan, even living in the sewer is a step up from Pakistan. There is a huge problem with people and companies from India totally abusing the H1B system in the US. They abuse it no end and the Americans are getting sick of it. This is why they're making things tough for Indians to get in. Canada on the other hand is desperate for immigrants, so it will take in anyone.
Very true..brother...USA GOVT first should concentrate on these desi consultancies than any other stupid rules. These DESI consultancies are literally downgrading the Indian reputation. Because of these fake consultancies, both Americans and indians are getting suffered. USA first end the contracting jobs that have more than 1 layer.
I think you were really lucky that someone was wiling to vouch that you had a couple of years experience. I took me 1.5 years after college to land a job. Please don't complain.
What about students who are not in IT filed... I mean mechanical engineers, electrical, electronics...are the situation same for these people also....are they getting "end client" jobs as mentioned in video..or else is their situation also same??...if same, is it similar to the situation mentioned in the video.....if not how its different...are non IT people even get jobs over there...i heard people from non it background (like mech civil electrical) dont even get jobs there is that true??
If the job is in your field of engineering, you will experience the problems I described. If it's not, then it gets a lot harder. Many of my friends and acquaintances who returned to India during a H1B couldn't go back. They waited for several months before they got approved. Many got outright denied. You never know. The situation is quite uncertain. That said, most mechanical engineers or electrical engineers I've known, worked full time (not as contractors). Their lives are relatively smooth as long as they plan on staying on the same job and don't have aspirations for entrepreneurship or hobbies.
Why did you went to the desi incs in the first place itself ? You are a graduate of which university? Were you not able to find job through career fair and other sources provided by university ?
Nope. Like I said in the video, I needed an employer who would sponsor a h1b and eventually a green card so that I could stay in the US longer. However, the 29 month work-authorization under OPT could have gotten me a job anywhere although it would have lasted for only 29 months tops.
where you live buddy . it is very hard to get job for us citizen,H1b will be very hard. in career fair companies nowadays hire us citizens and residents mostly
Vishal kumar that’s bogus . Although there are MORE employers looking for us citizens there are Ample # companies looking for talented folks . And most good F 500 firms DO sponsor . He didn’t mention if he got an internship or not ? CS is the MOST relevant degree in the US and I’ve seen plethora of folks getting hired like crazy . A lot of folks want to blame their lack of planning ,not working hard and not being talented enough on H1B . Hard sell !
@pulkit thats not true. Recently there has been a trend to not hire f1 students. At my college, students were not even considered if they said they were on f1. Getting an internship is easy, but not all colleges allow CPT and recently most of the employers are also not willing to convert these interns into full time employers.
This things are gone long time back, everything is automated now all you need is specialization to sustain in US market on H1-B. instead of blaming some XYZ try to do some research in good university and look for opportunity's.
I have 1 question could u please help me get the answer of this question i M working in india in Medai from past 2 years i am seeking job in usa in media department if i am eligible to get that job , could they will take my interview and select me for a particular post in media in usa on h1b visa . Is there any possibility that while sitting in indian and could i get job in usa ? Please clear me
I hope TRUMP shuts down H-1, L-1, F-1 visas. All these people go back to INDIA. Hopefully very soon!!! Anyone interested in assisting me in this movement to get rid of them please let me know.
I will just say facts: 90 percent of Indian students(especially Telugu guys) who do MS from US are spending majority of there university study time in doing part time working like in Indian Rest or any hotel. Truth is level of MS in US in below high Indian school board exam . A persom can become MS in cs, information sc etc even by not writing a single line of code. 80 percent complete two years degree in one year, as MS is joke in US. Hardly any student do MS from top 10 university. Doing MS and getting an OPT trend and faking clients interviews are trend. So a student who can fail in India can do MS in US with great pride. Trust me, MS level is US is below our 8th class school. I am in US since 5 yeara and have worked with many people who have done MS from here. A person sitting at offshore is more knowlegable and hardworking, deserving but Still Stupid MS guy will get 4 times salary as compare to offshore guy just because he has taken advantage by doing below standard MS..sorry for typos I m typing while travelling
divyanthj question is not about partime or full time. Point Majority are spending 90% of MS time in working partime or enjoying. MS people are good for nothing. They just get there MS degree from third class private university in US and they just keep shouting about job issues, h1b issues or green card issues. They create bad image of all Indians, and what ever is happening today is due to those stupid MS students whose programming expeience is zero or rather very very poor
Poor offshore indian who are anytime more knowledagble then onsite MS guys have to work more hours and at one fourth pay then Stupid MS guy. Telugu have created there own community here, they dont want any non telugu person to get replaced or join there team
wow...no IT guy created bad image of indians.....you north indians especially biharis and others, you create bad image of india....we atleast try to learn about something and try to excel in it. You dont contribute to indian economy, we south indians producing majority of jobs, contributing to building the country, if we werent there , you dont even sustain as a country. Show me one company which hires opt students without experience , we will try get job there ass hole....90% of ms time doing part time lol....if we dont do work, we cant pay rents and food..you jerk get money from your parents...and yes we love our telugu people and we love our south indian community raising the indian standards...gfys......
Bro how can I find these type of agencies through which I can work in usa actually I am currently in USA and looking for a sponsor. I am a student from Hotel Management background. Please help me bro I need to find a sponsor really soon.
Just type job forums or update your status on LinkedIn stating open for job opportunities, they will automatically come like bees following you and asking you to join
Looks like you got stuck with a wrong desi guy ... tell us one thing .... how did you get your first break to seek a project ? You made a fake resume that’s it .... you are a part of the chain ..... if you want to change the system then change yourself first
I agree you were in debt you had to do what you had to do .... bro so chill now.... stop behaving like it’s a paradise lost for you ....or as if you you are telling the world how the federal reserve works !!! Everyone knows your Content very well .... spend this time on learning new things than just venting out ......enjoy life be with your family it’s priceless......thank God that you are out of the vicious circle ! F1 h1 GC passport .... h1 is the best program for rest of the world except India and China ...... we can’t change anything except our attitude........so take the hit and keep moving forward .... we are survivors bro .....just a silly visa can’t bring you down .... you better than that ,,,,,,
Sorry, I m not being rude to you; but trying to guide you in the right direction. You are losing focus on what you want to achieve and what you are doing now. Good luck with your career; again there are people who exploit and there are people who use them to just make those extra dollars to skip paying taxes and get more money. Dont be the other guy, skill up and dont nag. If you are talented post your own training videos, educate them on your skills, never demotivate the motivated. Find your motivaion and you will be sucessful. Good Luck
Dvm Srikant it is such mindset that is ruining our country. They take advantage of our resources and premier institutes and then fly aboard to slave for another country. According to me if a student graduates from any of our primer institutes it must be made a compulson for the student to work in a government organisation for some period.
Come back to India and work here , you will get the taste of intriguing. If you can be a bureaucrat in India you can come here. USA is much better so plz do not criticise it . It's far better than India
My experience, Desi consulting companies are good for you because you need to introspect yourself. Look at your Github account, I see you just have 10 repositories, 1 follower and you are following 13.... this is pathetic. Spend some quality time to fine-tune your skills. Never cry on your fate and waste time posting youtube videos. Get your skills up and have to make 10X of what you are capable of. Trust me in Bay Area we are dying to hire the best of the coders and are not able to find the right ones. Focus in the right direction, not on Your.....tube postings, spend time on Git, SVN, Jenkens, Kubernitos, SPARK, python....etc... In our days we dint have any guidance nor did we have resources to teach us. Nowadays you can even get your self-skilled watching good youtube videos that train you free or even free udemy courses. If you are super skilled than sharing your knowledge on your...tube and trust me you will be more focused on your career than this publicity stunts and Cry Baby acts.
"Trust me in Bay Area we are " buried in underpaid H1Bs and GCs who were formerly 'highly skilled/highly critical', right up until they hit 30 years old, get a green card, and are ditched.
Hey at least they love the indentured servitude system in place! That is what the Bay Area is KNOWN for! Exploitation of human 'resources' and not giving a rat's butt on talent wise! Sure there MIGHT be a few here and there but.. have ANYTHING coming out of the Bay Area is EVEN remotely BENEFICIAL to ordinary folks regardless of what country they live in? What sort of INVENTION come out of that 'Bay Area' that even help us???
It’s commendable that you made this video and how you faked your way through consultancies. But then you also make another video on hardships of H1Bs expecting sympathy?
A lot of people misunderstand the intent of this video. This isn't about me exposing *fraud*. It's about how companies are forced to inflate requirements because of a flawed set of rules around H1B.
Then change name
its called as fraud

You used US F1 to get into US and now want to get greencard...? think before you comment. sorry brother, you keep saying Desi...Desi.. why dint you get into the US company, they dont discriminate if you are skilled. I know a lot of OPT's in Google, Ebay, MCAfee, Verifone, they are sharp and companies fight to hire them. Get yourself skilled before you blame others, your videos look like wiping tears of your friends and family. Grow up
You seem to have a lot of personal insight into my life based on other people's experience. Tell me, what was your experience as a H1b candidate?
The videos could be much better if only u had a mic and tripod stand also if you could shoot the videos on full screen.
Avinash Acharya wow you're a good man
What’s your take on f1s doing cash jobs?
Good luck searching for the citizen/gc with 25 years experience willing to work project to project for $60 / hr
Nice joke.
There are much bigger scams that the west does with the global south, you should look at the bigger picture, you would do the same you failed to get H1B sponsor, easy to take a moral high-ground when you have no skin in the game.
But my point of view Desi consultancies are doing good job, because they fullfill your needy requirements
Appreciate your candid videos. We Indians find loopholes in everything. Chal tha hai attitude. At the end everyone is happy making money except desperate students
All everybody needs some money. Some peace of mind. A little part of happiness. !!! Poor humans
Spot on! Great video! Please make a video on moving to Canada on PR from US
They moved to Canada and work in Walmart and McDonalds. Canada doesn't have good jobs just food and grocery jobs. IT and other high paying jobs are in US only.
good eye opening video because once you quote a standard rate to desi inc's they don't call you back
Dont be a slave just go home and hopefullu eceruone will be fine
Spot on dude.
How to avoid getting in this trap and get recruited from the end employer?
Great video. Eye opening
A lot of american born and raise here do contracting work. It is a mix of both H1s and US Citizen.
You never said how could u get h1b inspire of putting fake resume?
sounds interseting. but Bro can you redo this video with camera position correct its distracting i could not concentrate.
you could concentrate right as you have said. so whats the problem? :P
You can get your Greencard without having h1b. You do not need h1b for Greencard.
Some one please send this link to the dept of labor and Homeland security
What's your opinion on moving to Canada by applying PR
I think that's a good alternative to this H1B drama.
No class.
You lied by hiding your intention to stay
Very true..brother...USA GOVT first should concentrate on these desi consultancies than any other stupid rules. These DESI consultancies are literally downgrading the Indian reputation. Because of these fake consultancies, both Americans and indians are getting suffered.
USA first end the contracting jobs that have more than 1 layer.
I think you were really lucky that someone was wiling to vouch that you had a couple of years experience. I took me 1.5 years after college to land a job. Please don't complain.
Could I get the fake resume they provide ?
Vendors; I will remember that term. Usury.
do these desi agencies or vendors sponsor h1b? did they sponsor you h1b?
Don't record vertically.
If you run a company, will you keep a person whom u really do not need?
In the company? No. In the country? It's none of my business which country that fired employee lives in.
Keep it up!! I really wish you all the best...
Go to 7:19 , that’s when things get really murky
Any advice on where to begin learning programming, computer science on own?
Keep it up, informing about -ve things. Thanks for this.
well I was thinking of making a video on the same thing 😅
I'm in the same boat and returning to Bangalore in a week
Sir Ur 1’st Person Tellling Real Fact In USA , Plz suggest can I do MS in UK ,in computer science , is it Worth it?
"local Americans" are called just "Americans" ...
How recent of a timeline is this ? Is nobody from any ms batch getting any jobs ? No H1Bs are getting filed in 2017/18/19 ? Are you telling me that
dont those companies do back ground verification?
Good one! Could you please give some examples of the End Client, Vendor companies and Desi inc ?
BCBS - new direction health care - Esolutions - vastek - in hand 30 dollars per hour
so money is there in Health care!
Barath Surendran it’s a generic example. In every sector money is there.
This things are gone long time back, everything is automated now all you need is specialization to sustain in US market on H1-B. instead of blaming some XYZ try to do some research in good university and look for opportunity's.
Thanks for sharing Bro!
Why didn’t you make this video before returning to India?
govardhan reddy Lol he would be afraid if he will be in US and making videos then what will happen to him
I have 1 question could u please help me get the answer of this question i M working in india in Medai from past 2 years i am seeking job in usa in media department if i am eligible to get that job , could they will take my interview and select me for a particular post in media in usa on h1b visa . Arun Paul Singh Only resume s of Candidates who are authorised to work in US will be called for Interview.
I hope TRUMP shuts down H-1, L-1, F-1 visas. All these people go back to INDIA. Hopefully very soon!!! Anyone interested in assisting me in this movement to get rid of them please let me know.
Sounds like home health agencies.
Excellent Said!
Hey divyanth, did you study in rnsit? I am alumni too. Can I personal message you? If so how? Just wanted to ask you few things :)
Yes, I'm from RNSIT too. Look me up on Quora or facebook!
8:39 = we've got a few points on target mate.. but refrain from using emoji of leadership
Brother stay in india, US janay ke itni aag kyun lagi hui hai. Millions of indians live in thr US and they have ruined the h1b system.
Indian students doing part time work has got nothing to do with this video.
divyanthj question is not about partime or full time.
Its good Triump is breaking this thing now.
wow...no IT guy created bad image of indians.....you north indians especially biharis and others, you create bad image of india....we atleast try to learn about something and try to excel in it.
They should arrest the end clients first
Mahanand Muppidi 😂😂
Does in mechanical engineering happens the same
Why not canada or australia atleast we ill not feel fucked up
Thank you for sharing!
Do you think it's worth doing masters in USA in industrial engineering?
.
Define "worth doing". What are you expecting, for the "doing"?
I know someone with a Masters in Industrial Engineering. They are now working in Real Estate
Did you Reported the desi company to USCIS? Please do that if not already done.
Rakesh Pandey Why report? I made money. They saved money. Everybody won.
divyanthj - you should report this fraud and abuse to USCIS.
There was no fraud to report.
Faked resume.
Why did u join desi consultancy??
Only they would sponsor H1b.
go back and earn rupees in your country.
excellent presentation. thanks.
Looks like you got stuck with a wrong desi guy ... tell us one thing .... how did you get your first break to seek a project ? You made a fake resume that’s it .... you are a part of the chain ..... if you want to change the system then change yourself first
Yeah, that's easier said than done. With 15k debt, it doesn't make economic sense to pick principles over money.
F1 h1 GC passport .... h1 is the best program for rest of the world except India and China ...... we can’t change anything except our attitude........so take the hit and keep moving forward .... we are survivors bro .....just a silly visa can’t bring you down .... you better than that ,,,,,,
@@23salman lmao stfu, he is trying to help stop blaming him.
He is a far better human than most people.
Prove you are Bitcoin millionaire as you claim
Very well explained
Good information, well explained thanks.
I know man, the core problem is that the American continent is rich and the Asian continent is poor
Nicely Explained
Great video and info ...
Americans first.
This is true.
Good Luck
Hello sir.. That is the process in study in Harvard University (USA).. For PhD in company... Sir I am from bihar.. And my dream is next Google CEO 😔😔😔
ABHISHEK RANJAN Good Luck
Dvm Srikant Thq bhaiya... 😊😊😊
First eradicate corruption in your own state. Then think about Google.
kkkirytenahtss1 corruption in state has nothing to do with Job in Google. Neither Google doesn't give job if one eradicates corruption in state
Dvm Srikant it is such mindset that is ruining our country. They take advantage of our resources and premier institutes and then fly aboard to slave for another country. According to me if a student graduates from any of our primer institutes it must be made a compulson for the student to work in a government organisation for some period.
One more thing to add, "evil" desi consultancies will only exist if their "saint" gora vendors exist.
Authentic seen clearly
Wow...the audacity to announce in public on how you used a fake resume to land a job.
Stunts like this have given H1B workers a bad rep.
Very nice thanks for insight :)
Come back to India and work here , you will get the taste of intriguing. If you can be a bureaucrat in India you can come here. USA is much better so plz do not criticise it . It's far better than India
It’s true fake resume
Facts
great video
Back home and develop home country
