- Bivi Camp on the Beach! This week I have met up with @BurtonOutdoors and @BourneOutside for a wild camp on the beach. This was my first time meeting Tim From @BourneOutside and what a good guy he is.
We chatted and chilled over beer and burgers while the sky changed colours at sunset. we had a small camp fire on the beach and then set out Bivi bags up for the night.
the two guys used their Miltec Bivi bags and I used the Dutch Army Hooped Bivi.

Great seaside camp out, camaraderie and such. Weather was good for the most part, windy but being on a beach... Burgers and beer, beautiful. Tim does seem to be a good guy to have around. Yeah I'd say success all the way Dan👍👍, always enjoy watching your videos, well done. Thanks for the trip. Enjoy!
Thanks Terry, that was my first meeting with Tim and we got on really well. I will hopefully camp with him again in the future.

Has the elephant mat protected your inflatable mattress so far?
I don’t use it all the time but it seems to help when the ground is rocky.
Nice coastal one that Dan . Lovely opening scenes. The old bivvy looks the way for coastal camping , simple no hassle setup then ..... chill. ( as long as you dont get rain during the day 😂) . Take care Dan 👍

Dan,should of had your paddle board along,could of done some surfing 🏄♂️ lol!....How close to the beaches do you live? We are about 20 minutes. Newport beaches ⛱ about 45 minutes....no palm 🌴 tho lol!
This beach is nearer Lee, so it was a 2 hour drive to his then a 45 minute trip down to the sea.. nearest beach to me is about 40 minutes, but quite touristy.

@ollvebranch as long as you're not rubbing it in people's noses and you set up late. There's no real issue.
I think legally speaking you're allowed to night fish on the beach. 😉

Behind the beach is some scrub land.. there were a few bushes to back into 😉

The monster from the deep came ashore. Looked like 3 bundles of driftwood in a line. Great beach camp Dan n friends and a really cool sunset. Bushyboy Oz.

I find leaving it in my head uncontrollable and I wake up with a headache, and if I put it down I can’t find it. So wearing it like a watch seems the best way. Especially for that little square one.. can’t remember it’s name. The one from Col.

@@CampLifeBushcraft I recognised the butcher. Just up the A3 for me. The missus and me go there all the time. Pets corner next door is the only place we can get cat food for our fussy cats.

@@CampLifeBushcraft I usually end up buying one of there giant pork pies and eating it on the journey back down the A3. It’s become a tradition. Always have a gander round Mountain Warehouse too.

Ok, the real serious stuff. That looked a cracking place to camp, but (and this is serious) did you get much problem with Sand-hoppers?...I know it was shingle but I sleep on shingle at times and am forever flicking them out of my ears.
