    After watching your review I went to the local baby shop in Australia with my 3.5 year old. She is very tall and 16kg. She sat in the yo-yo, butterfly and baby jogger. We ended up with the butterfly. This provided her with the most room in the chair and height so she didn’t bump her head. The yo-yo was to small for her. Only down fall- doesn’t recline flat or come with a cover for airlines. We used it on our recent holiday and are very happy with it overall 😊

    Hi @strollermom please please help. We need a travel stroller but want one that lays flat for naps, we do have the opportunity to buy in Germany (I’m in the U.S.). It’s for older toddlers so would like at least 50 lb max. Would like it to fit in most overhead bins and be lightweight. Does this exist??
    On another note have you used the MiaMily carryon?

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  5 місяців тому

      Hello, Joolz!! Look at the Joolz especially if you can buy in Germany and get the full flat recline. :)

    I was about to buy Nuna Trvl but then bought Butterfly. What points I didnt like about butterfly are: i) Difficult to steer, it does not stay in one lane. Ii) the recline is not sufficiently deep/flat and it is also not upright enough in the most upright position. If I buy Trvl, will these points addressed?

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  Рік тому

      Nuna TRVL is very easy to steer. I have been able to pull it really tight to get a pretty good upright seat and the bumper bar helps. In regards to the recline...the seat back is short and has a mesh panel that makes it not great for naps on the go, esp. for older kids. :(

    We’ve been using the trvl for 1.5 years with our second. We live in a city and it is our daily stroller. We like how it handles, and can even manage curbs and stoop stairs pretty well considering the smaller wheels (smaller than larger, standard strollers), but it cannot manage cobblestones. The small footprint is perfect for our small building elevator. The one handed closure is great, although becomes almost unusable during the winter months when we add the muff. I can feel that it’s wearing down, too. We also do end up tying a swaddle when the LO naps (or when we want him to), because the canopy doesn’t give enough cover for that. The biggest shocker was when the brake paddle broke and flew off the stroller during normal use a week ago. Apparently this is something that happens to many trvls. Nuna will replace the entire stroller, which is great, but they require that we mail back the broken one first, which will leave us in a lurch between mailing it back and getting the new one. Not cool.
    Given that, I’m considering whether we should replace the trvl with one of the other two strollers. How do the other two compare on rough terrain? On curbs? Stoop steps? When needing to get into subway stations or onto buses? Would it make more sense at this point to go for a simpler umbrella stroller? I was hoping the trvl would be the only one we’d need this time around, but doesn’t seem like it.

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  5 місяців тому +1

      That is so sad to hear about what happened with your TRVL. I am glad to hear Nuna is replacing it. The Butterfly is more "sturdy" over the TRVL, but is not much better on cobblestone. I sadly feel like no travel stroller does awesome on it. YoYo is the TRVL stroller in places like Paris and London, but it has a lot of downsides. The TRVL does have a slightly better push because of its larger wheels, but the Butterfly has a better basket, canopy, footrest, etc.

    Best for city life? Bumpy sidewalks and getting in an out of ubers and subways? Also, why does everyone care so much about overhead bin storage when you can just gatecheck and get it back when you get off?

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  9 місяців тому +2

      Great question! You can get any of these or the Joolz Aer+ for city life. On the gate check comment, I think it is a preference thing. I have done both and prefer Gate Checking 9 times out 10. :)

    • @Shawdiee
      @Shawdiee 9 місяців тому +1

      In regard to gate checking, I’ve travelled with my stroller once (currently on a hunt for a travel stroller) and I had to wait for my gate checked stroller and I was the last to leave (it really took some time for some reason). I saw on another video that the whole overhead fit is more of a convenience thing, especially during layovers and whatnot, just so you have your stroller on you right away to use it.

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  9 місяців тому +1

    I love the TRVL for my daughter who lives in New York (think walk-ups and subway stairs)! She has a 6 month old and a 3 year old who still needs a stroller seat or a universal ride on board to attach to the stroller. Do you have any recommendations for being out with a baby and toddler?

    Would you say the butterfly could be used as an everyday stroller? I am comparing this and the Cruz V2 for everyday, either one with a car seat for the first months. I live in a non-walkable city - we get around in the car basically everywhere we go, but live in a city so don’t have a ton of space in general (in parking lots, etc). Thanks!

    • @thestrollermom
      @thestrollermom  Рік тому

      It could if you are in a sidewalk city! The Cruz V2 will be better for varied terrains, where as I think you will like the Butterfly more the older your child gets. This is because it’s lightweight, doesn’t take up a lot of space, and is overall very convenient!

    • @AAandPE
      @AAandPE Рік тому +1

      @@thestrollermom thanks! We are still looking into both. I also really like the bassinet add-on for the first months for the Cruz (which the Butterfly doesn’t have), but the super light weight and compactness is definitely a big plus for the Butterfly for just everyday convenience even after the first year. It’s a hard decision!

    • @thestrollermom

I also like that the Cruz V2 allows you to face your baby towards you. Just something to consider. 😀
