    This video is best i have seen when comes to the DJI Air 2S. It was very informative and easy to follow you as you described the setup of the drone. I had a Mavic Pro so i learned to fly on that, however i sold it and now i want to get back into another Drone and The Air 2S is my choice. thanks for the outstanding video

    Outstanding video Jake! Many thanks for putting together this methodical and easy to follow tutorial. I just purchased my first drone (Mavic Air 2S) after years of flying RC helicopters and like everything there is a learning curve with these drones with plenty of information to absorb. One more important thing that i found out is that if u press and hold the screen the auto exposure locks so however u move the drone the exposure doesn't change (for example if u face it towards the sun or a shadow area). If u press and hold on the screen again the auto exposure unlocks again.

    Hi Jake... Am an absolute beginner having never owned a drone before and have found all the actual DJI instruction booklets and videos are hopeless and definitely not for a beginner needing step by step instructions (-; !.. Thanks for making it seem a little less daunting on your video although will have to watch this video quite a few times before I remember a lot of the instructions!... Couple comments from someone like me who has never ever flown a drone... I know this sounds bit simple but you didn't explain how to charge the actual controller but I eventually found that info on another youtube video... and on actual DJi webpage they put on the blades with them opened right up but noticed you put them on the arms with blades still together so not sure if you open them up before starting a flight or the drone will open up the blades when you start it up? Then do you close them up or remove them when packing the drone away?... thanks again

    Where in Alaska is this? I live in Wasilla and travel all over the state for work, so I know Alaska when I see it haha. I work for a company called Prism and work on fuel dispensers, so I get to see a lot that most don't. That plane and area look so familiar. • @JakeSloan

      @@JakeSloan okay. I guess I have an issue then. They never change from 00'00" even in flight. Only the green circle with percentage inside works. Thanks!

    A question Jake, my joysticks seems to work opposite of what I expected. When I push the right stick up is seems that the drone should go away but it comes to you and when you push down the drone goes away from you. Same with the left sticks. Seems that if you push the stick to the left the drone should go left, it goes right. Is this normal? Just had my first flight, small test flight, want to get used to the controls.

    I just bought a DJI AIR 2s and the image is tack sharp, but there is a lot of flutter which resembles rolling shutter. I don't see that in videos I see online. Is there a problem with my camera or a setting that needs to be set? I have it setup the way you suggested, but the flutter is very annoying. Ironically, my IPHONE 12 Pro MAX has the same flutter. I have not uploaded any video yet, but will in the next day or two. Will post a link when I get it uploaded. Thanks in advance for any advice!

      You may need to use an ND filter to bring the shutter speed down

      @@JakeSloan I installed the ND16, but have not been out to fly since I did, been raining here in the Mojave. Have to wait for a clear sky.

    Great overview video. I watched several before finding this, and this is exactly what DJI should present to every new Air 2s owner. It's much more useful, and it's comprehensive while being as precise as it can be.
    27:28 I see your settings only show H.265. Later, it shows both H.264 and H.265 when you changed to Master Shots. Any reason it did not give you that option in the regular video mode?

    • @JakeSloan
      @JakeSloan  2 роки тому

      any time you shoot in d-log it has to be in h-265 so thats the only option

    Jake,
    I just got my Air 2S with the combo kit and a separate Smart controller because I have no supported mobile phone that goes with it. But it seems that one can activate this smart controller but it does not link to the drone? The help site of DJI told me that it is necessary to link with the normal controller first and then switch to the smart one. Is is not that smart then? For the Smart controller I did all the updates needed. I can'nt believe it is not linking. Do you think that is the normal procedure?
