The Xid card you got to reduce the patience cost is very exploitable at the moment. Probably not supposed to be able to, but it can set patience cost into the negatives, meaning that if you were to play a zero-cost card like muscle memory it would end up being a net gain for patience.

i remember the very first rare item i got from baptiste investment company was a damn heart of mana, this thing it as the same time the most useless and yet one of the best things to have although when you unlock the slimes it becomes a great duplication tool !
Xid has some amazing cards and it isn't that obvious on the surface, since the wording of the cards is wrong. Jingle is much more powerful than it seems on the surface. The logic would say that the next card cost 2 less, but this doesn't mean a card that cost 0 would still cost 0. It's easier to think of a cards cost as "-1 patiences" as a number and effects like jingle means "+2 patiences". So playing "Jingle" into "Press The Attack" has a patiences change from (-1 + 2), effectively gaining 1 patiences when playing a 1 cost card. Another example with "Captivate" from Baptiste and "Jingle" from Xid. You can end your turn with Jingle, reducing the cost of the patiences of the next card even between turns. If you draw "Captivate" as opener the calculation would be ( 0(cost) + 2(Captivate) +2 (Jingle) leading to +4 patiences in total. (+3 considering the jingle cost). I think this is a very important to know, since it enables deck builds that rely on more carddraw and patiences, than the NPCs usually offer. Especially stress management is very hard over multiple turns if you depend too much on your card draw. Xid cards make those strategies a lot more feesable and you I think you will have fun figuring out how to abuse her cards for haggling, but I don't want to spoil it. I just think that Xids card sound missleading in their text, which led me to ignore some of her strongest cards for the longest time. PS: To my understanding, Stress makes you have a chance to pull a stress card with each pull. It doesn't fill your deck, you just get a stress card instead of the regular card you would have pulled. But you can get very unlucky with that. Even with 5% I had cases, where I ended up getting 50% stress cards. And stress can snowball VERY fast. You can start with just a little stress, get some unlucky stress cards and those will further increase your stress more and more. Especially in late game, when you are able to sell 20 potions in a single haggle session, the first customer can already ruin ALL your future potion sells just by giving you a few % of stress. I had a day, where I got 50% stress just from unlucky card draw and ended up just closing every deal, because my hands were always so full of stress cards, that I was unable to even play a useful card at the first turn.
Xid is great for paticents gain/cost reduction. personally use her to play my higher costing cards for cheap. Luna also has an intresting deck that plays around stress. pairs with sylvie's cards that can mitiage it. theres plenty of theory to play with here with all the cards you get
If I were an adventurer I would certainly not care about the smell of the potion, only the effectiveness. We should also not forget that adventurers go outside not for the Potion Brewer alone but to seek.... well adventure.
