NO comments?? The hard plastic spineboards are falling by the wayside for clamshells. If there is a long way to travel to the hospital over bumpy roads there will be casualty discomfort on bony protuberances. With the clamshell it can be used to put the patient into the stokes and then unclipped and removed, leaving the patient on top of blankets and padding. Also there seems to be less emphasis on protecting the neck. Also we were taught to support the head and neck by planting at least one elbow. In this demo both elbows were floating. Things change and I'm not in the USA however you are light years ahead of us in other areas. Cheers.
