Madonna is one of the few artists who understands the meaning of the word "interprete". It's a very specific term the French use to describe a singer who serves the music rather than using it to showcase their vocal virtuosity at the expense of the music. I think Madonna has a wonderful voice for ballads and am perplexed that people don't hear that. That said, most non-English speaking people really get her and particularly love her voice. Perhaps it's a case of a prophet is never recognised in his own country...
I Can't Forget is lovely and beautiful/ Madonna is moving and heartfelt in this wonder ballad. Likewise, I Can't Forget Madonna either. She is a true inspiration.

My best friend argues that Gaga is on par with Madonna. I cannot even begin to understand this sentiment when I know Madonna like this, instead of what is heavily played on mainstream radio.
i agree with you lady gaga has stolen other people music & dosen't give them creit!hopefully her new album sucks & goes away for good. i listen to opera,country,clasical music,rock(queen & TSO),french & euro pop (sweetbox)& musicals from broadway(that matter to me!),france & germany. i love sarah brightman & also i think the christmas music play on the radio is that overplay the songs We need more variety in music today! i'm open-minded soul...
M. does'n work for this kind of songs, not her style (and not the best stuff by Forster, that I used to like). Didn't liked You'll see and awful One more chance either.Beside I found her very intense and lyric in Evita and Dick Tracy songs (her "classic" masterpieces?) BUT I guess she's more a trendsetter than an "interpreter", and she could be good in lyric-stile when she's very personal (Like a Prayer and American life albums);not in this "I can't forget" and similar ballads.What do you think?

oh god no, this song is bland compared to the You'll See, I Want You, or even One More Chance. good call on Madonna's behalf.
