Brilliant! Peter Cook was spot on about celebrities going on TV and then pretending to be upset when people recognise them. There have been a few like that who deliberately courted attention only to feign unhappiness when they got it. It’s a theme that Cook returned to more than once. This was more-or-less the punchline of his Greta Garbo parody, Emma Bargo. I don’t know if Roald Dahl ever got upset when recognised in public, but if he did I don’t know why he agreed to appear on ‘Tales’ every week. Either way, I like this sketch and haven’t seen it in years.

Very unfair. Dahl was Norwegian. Roald is a common forename there.
Still pretty funny, though.
I remember "Tales of the unexpected" from back in the 80s.. Dahl spent his summer holidays in Norway together with his family.
