    I couldnt get over my 59 highbreak for half a year now. Yesterday i went to the club and hit a 70 (I'm talking match-situations, not lineup or so). Missed an easy pink, i'm fuming haha. Went home and saw this video came out. Brilliant timing mate. Solid channel. Absolutely love it. Cheers.

    One question pls..assume u have all the colour balls on their respective spots and u pot the black. Where would u put the black assuming it's spot is blocked.

    • @BartonSnooker
      @BartonSnooker  4 роки тому +1

      Starting from the black cushion, it goes as close to its own spot, in a direct line, as possible.
      So if a red was on the black spot, it would look like this:
      🔴

      But obviously the black would be almost touching the red. As close as it can possibly go, WITHOUT touching the red.

    Thanks Steve but it is very important to mention where to hit in the cue ball if you finish short in the red and you want to use it to open the pack or to play screw shot.not all of us aware, do you apply side in these shots or only normal shot kindly clarify in every shot where to hit in order to be aware in practice thanks. moreover, using the black to open the pack do you play normal shots or you use side pls let us know thanks.

    This may sound really dumb, but is there a specific amount of chalk to put on your cue tip? I always see pros etc slightly chalk there cue with 1 stroke but when I play, I find myself chalking quite a bit. I don't know if I am applying too much? And would this have an adverse affect on the cue ball? Such as kicks etc

    • @BartonSnooker
      @BartonSnooker  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Dermot. Good question. There isn't really a specific amount you're applying. You're just giving the tip a coaching of some chalk so that that tip better sticks to the cue ball.
      With regards to how much that is, if you're chalking every shot, then it only needs to be a bit each time. It's just enough chalk dust to give more of a grip between the cue ball and the tip.
      Always remember too that the chalk is abrasive. So the more you chalk, the more you're wearing the tip down. If you constantly chalk too much, you're effectively sanding down your tip. So as long as there is some on to give that grippy contact, that's fine. Too much and you're just wearing your tip unnecessarily.

    Hello Steve would I be able to make breaks over 50 with just running the ball threw or playing bottom or does playing side help with that. As I struggle to play side thank you

    • @BartonSnooker
      @BartonSnooker  4 роки тому +1

      Yes you can make 50+ breaks without using side. Side spin is a useful tool for correcting position when you fall slightly out of ideal placement, but certainly you can make good breaks without it.
      I have a video of a 30+ break without using side spin.

      Hi Mike,
      Thanks so much for your feedback, it's much appreciated.
      When I film these videos I have to do it all by myself. So I have to do the actual main video, and then all the other shots you see I have to film myself by setting the balls back up and then filming to give people an idea of how the balls were placed.
      I'm so sorry that you feel the balls were not placed exactly as they should be. Please accept my apologies and I will try to be more accurate in future.
