Greetings from Melbourne Australia Mike! I have both, the XC 3401 VRG and the XCE 10-8-125 . Love both! The XCE is what I use the most! Great Video guys!
Mike your work is awesone …. Great knowlodge in 30 years…. Cheers from brazil ….. big fan of your work….. love the video 1 step you and yan did in 30 min…. Great job
Awesome classes. Next week you should do one thing that irritates all of us detailers. The dreaded black trim. The one thing I found that works great. Jif peanut butter

No. That is TOO large of a stroke for gear-driven. It can sound good on paper but in the real world - you could not hold and run that buffer over car paint. -Mike Phillips
Probably the original - the XC 3401 VRG or as I call it - The BEAST! Why? It has the most RPM and OPM and you need everything working for you when working on neglected gel-coat. If the gelcoat is in excellent condition, then I would use the Supa BEAST. -Mike Philips
Heck yeah! When applying a wax or sealant you could easy switch over to a 6" backing plate and a 6.5" or 7" foam finishing pad and really cover some real-estate FAST! -Mike Phillips
Mike, I have a Makita P05000 gear driven polisher. Saw an older video of you covering it but noticed you don't sell it through Autogeek. Just curious why you don't carry it or if you have any thoughts about it. I personally love it plus it's ability to switch to free spinning.
Hello Mike, greetings and love from India. A question out of context, I've seen you use Sonax Glass Cleaner for various applications. I'd like to learn more about that. Like, what are various other things I can use a Sonax Glass Cleaner for?
I use it for, Prep Wash - both waterless and rinseless style. www.autogeekonline.net/forum/how-to-articles-by-mike-phillips/126153-sonax-glass-cleaner-prep-wash.html Also as a clay lube. Probably other things but that's off the top of my head. Wait, I also use it for a glass cleaner. :) -Mike Phillips
Looking forward to the dr c chip one boy's. You did a quick introduction on the deodorizer system and I would love to see more on that. Thank you for great content every week.
To save time. "I'm not going to refer to these by their part numbers," the proceeds to refer to them by their part numbers. LOL! Just pulling your leg. Nice, informative video.
I'm struggling with small hair scratches appearing using the new flex xce.. no matter how hard I try slow I move even hardly using pressure tried everything but still get small scratches causes small scratches used new pad can you give any advice 🙏
Pad and compound and polish is key and most importantly pressure you put on the machine, try the microfiber and finish with the yellow rupes, sonax cutmax and perfect finish as far as speed 1-3 and just guide the machine with minimal pressure and compare it with a little bit of pressure and see which fits you best. try not to run run pad dry, should be damp and clean or switch ur pad every panel. Hope this helps
At one point, you said listen to the engineers and trust that they did everything for a reason, but then you went against their suggestion and put a 6" plate on the Supa BEAST? Any reason why other than bigger/faster?
My thoughts exactly, that's why I went with the original beast 3401!! Awesome polisher!! 👍🇨🇦

Love your videos Mike!! Question: Do you think Flex or Rupes will ever come out with a 15 mm or 21 mm gear driven polisher??
No. That is TOO large of a stroke for gear-driven. It can sound good on paper but in the real world - you could not hold and run that buffer over car paint. -Mike Phillips
Hey Mike, would FLEX tools be a good combo with RUPES pads ? Or which pads would you advise/suggest to work with FLEX tools ?
I love all the RUPES pads on both RUPES tools and FLEX tools. -Mike Phillips
Hey Mike great video. If you were to use it on gelcoat as you shown in past videos, would you prefer any in particular
Probably the original - the XC 3401 VRG or as I call it - The BEAST!

Can I use this tool, in my case a CBEAST, to apply a wax or sealant as a mobile detailer?
Heck yeah! When applying a wax or sealant you could easy switch over to a 6" backing plate and a 6.5" or 7" foam finishing pad and really cover some real-estate FAST! -Mike Phillips

They carried it once it was released, but it was a slow mover sales wise, so they stopped carrying it.
Master nice video,, Flex #1 👍💪
Appreciate it - Yancy

Hey Mike...I was a little too much in a hurry about my question regarding RUPES pads, as you talk about them. So disregard my previous comment
There’s a learning curve to the 3401, but once you become comfortable with it, you can plow through AIO jobs.
I'm struggling with small hair scratches appearing using the new flex xce.. no matter how hard I try slow I move even hardly using pressure tried everything but still get small scratches causes small scratches used new pad can you give any advice 🙏

Hi Mike Nau form Vernau Motors
Howdy howdy! -Mike Phillips
Agree, guy in the background is irritating
Great video, but yes, he added nothing with his interrupting the goat Mike Philips.
Holy shit you loaded that pad up with cutting cream! What happen to three or four dots of compound, like everyone else does? Who’s correct?
@Steve Morley sounds good then. I don’t need to be too worried about loading my pad up then. Thx
Lol are you serious? Doubting Mike P the legend? There is no1 in the detailing world as much experienced as him…
@@blackmagician0078 not doubting, just asking. 👍🏻

As Mike Phillips would say to cover more real estate quicker !
I'm a flat rate detailer I can't spend that long on a vehicle. They still look good but I got to move
