How much for a new battery when capacity range to low after 2 years or so ? Does the spanning system with nut at the bottom eliminate any steering play or do you have to retighten the nut regularly when no thread locker used ? The top cap seems to be printed but wouldn’t an aluminium machined one look much better and higher quality, beside a couple of grams weight saving. Or would an aluminium cap cover the signals ? Nice product. Really think about to get one but I am in between JER and H… 500. JER definitely has better battery and better module and a lot more functions.

Thank you for your interest. After two years, battery will not decrease quality, for example > if you ride every day 3 hours in year and you have actived full profile, like STRAVA measurement profile. (2second save data interval, 30 second online refresh interval) you will recharge battery maybe once in 20-25 days. In one year you will recharge max 15times per year. From other side, if you are hobby cyclist, but you train every 3 days 2hours , recharge cycles is decreased. We are continously testing device in different area of use. TrackHead is used also by professional cyclists for measurement their activities with STRAVA. Another side, if you will use device only for security purposes consumption is decreased to minimum. After 1.5 year what TrackHead is on the market, we don t have any requirement for change the battery. But we plan add some spare parts on our eshop in january 2023 (also battery). Yes it works, it is independent, but network operator should provide 2G GPRS

Hello , as device is GPS tracker, it definitely has modern GPS modul - specificaly GNSS (GPS + GLONASS,) very precise location with tunned antenna. acquire position to 30 second from power off state.
