I like how the Confederacy used US Army ranks instead of Navy ones. Keep in mind this means there are no "Commanders". Also I think Picard would be a Colonel not a General at that point. General would be equivalent to an Admiral I think. Captains become Colonels. Full Commanders would be Lt Colonel, and Lt Commanders would be Majors. Lieutenants would be Captains. Ensigns would be Lieutenants. At least I think that's how it would make sense to line up. I also want to say I like how you talk about some of the events we are familiar with in the context of the Confederacy and how they might handle them.
You have it right. In the modern structure, a Navy Captain and Army Colonel are both O-6 pay grades. A Navy Ensign would share the O-1 pay grade with an Army Second Lieutenant, with the next ranks up being a Navy Lieutenant (Junior Grade) and an Army First Lieutenant. I like that the ship is not simply a visual carbon copy of the Galaxy class. It never made sense that the ships look exactly the same in both universes, considering one version is designed for exploration, the other for warfare. That's why I loved Mirror-Georgiu's flagship. Not the design itself, but that it looked so different from Starfleet ships. The World Razor has nice visual distinctions, but I still think she's too Starfleet. Should be more aggressive looking, with some sharper edges and stuff. Great job on the lore by the way. Fits the setting perfectly.

I like seeing more of this universe worked out. Only critique I can add is that it needs more unique ships. Like if this is that universe's galaxy class would a constitution class look a bit different too? Would ESD be one huge wartime battle station? Would the Terran Empire look at these guys and go "whoa, we're not that evil."
very entertaining and imaginative narrative. although as a historian i do wounder if trek should be portraying authoritarian regimes as efficient as powerful, since thats kinda how they want to be thought of. i feel like the cardassians are a better portrayal, devoid of the "Glamour" given to the terrans or confederation. i'd be intrested to know your thoughts on this?
From what limited information I could gather of Confed and from my own knowledge of human history especially military history I would say that the Federation would need serious help from other Empires and alliances such as the Klingons and maybe the Dominon given that confed likely is far more advanced and militeristic than the Federation. They are more than capable of flattening federation forces due to better combat experience, more heavily armed ships, and likely have a edge in technology given that they likely have borg tech already in ships for several decades well the federation only barely started using them on ships. Also I bet they have more smaller combat ships running around than the federation does.

The World Razer's longer nacelles and wider saucer finally correct the awkward proportions that bugged me in the Galaxy class. WHY MUST THE FASCIST SHIP LOOK SO GOOD
I wish we had seen the freakin ship in the show. Would have been nice to see it chase them up to the sun before they time jumped into the past. Having a moment of reading out a sensor scan of the World Razor and a holy shit moment would have been enough.
Considering that either a cut line or novelisation of Operation Annihilate mentioned original Enterprise having Planet Wrecker missiles... And that was from the timeline we all know and love... What must the World Razer have!?
Now, I do love how.fleshed out you made the World Razer's history. But I do have to question something: despite having synths in the Confederation timeline, would we really have had a Data and Lore? After all, Adam Soong was a legendary hero figure, so that probably would have kept Arik Soong from turning out the way he did and switching from genetics to cybernetics, which in turn would keep Noonian (not sure if I spelled his name right) from doing that research. That's just my view on the matter.
I love how the story line for Jean Luc and (enterprise) world razer plays out, this would be a great alternative demention story line. Enjoy your other videos as well.
You know what's odd. I feel that this alternative version of the Galaxy class rectifies the one design aspect of the Galaxy class that always bothered me, as much as I love the ship. It always kind of bugged me that the shuttle-bays on the Galaxy class' saucer neck were disproportionate.
Excellent content. The narrative feels spot on to me, and the world razor looks very cool. Tbh though I didn’t think Patrick Stewart quite pulled off the nasty version of Picard in the series, but everything else in that universe seemed very good.

This very ship is one I really want to get in STO. Yes very different... The Confederation stands for humanity, and humanity works together in the common cause of "A safe Galaxy, is a Human Galaxy." You wouldnt be killed in a conspiracy plot to gain rank for example... With the death penalty for Humans being only applied for things like Treason...
