  • We wanted to see it for ourselves, the highest man-made waterfall in the world (165 metres). It was an obvious choice as we were travelling in Italy. The Cascata delle Marmore is located near Terni in central Italy. It is really impressive to see the masses of water cascading from the rocks here. The motorhome car park is a great place to visit the waterfall:
    Cascate delle Marmore car park
Piazzale Felice Fatati 1, 05100 Terni
15 € per night, incl. electricity, supply and disposal.
We then travelled to San Marino, the oldest republic in the world,
to the Parcheggio P13, Strada della Baldasserona
a free car park for motorhomes. With supply + disposal,
not very clean, but conveniently located for taking the funicular (cable car) up to the old town, which is well worth seeing.
