  • In this 10th Video from Classic Car ChitChat you get to see the DeTomaso Pantera is by far one of most awe inspiring cars ever. With sleak lines and an engine that is bigger than my MG this beast of a car was years ahead of its time. I think by far this iis one of the original super cars of all time and would certainly give the Lamborghini's. Ferrari,s and of coourse the Crvettes a run for the money!
As I say goodbye to my little MG I knew she is in PJ's capable hands is a really comforting feeling. However before parting we get to see (and hear) the roar of the engine and get a look at PJ's Lotus Europa project he is building.
    Video Intentions:
I hope my video’s make you smile. I do them in my spare time because I truly love cars. I understand too that my videos perhaps lack the polish calibre of great UA-camrs like: Doug DeMuro, Scotty Kilmer, Supercar Blondie, and can’t even come close the quality & finish you get from the likes of Jeremy Clarkson and the boys at Top Gear.. I think they use a little fancier equipment than my little iPhone… LOL
    Mission Statement:
My Objective through creating these videos is to shine the spotlight on people who love their vehicles whether it be a car, motorcycle, or even a bicycle…. Bottom line is if it has wheels and you love it then let’s show that passion to the world!
    Equipment Used:
Camera - Just an iPhone SE (Nothing fancy - which proves anyone can use whatever you have handy to make a video… you don’t need really expensive equipment)
Gimbal - DJI OM4 - For that ultra-smooth cinematic look. (To be honest... still not quite sure how to use it but one day I will figure it out!)
Audio - Rode Wireless GO II (I gotta be honest… this is really the biggest investment that was made… I wish there was a cheaper option but after the first couple of videos I soon realized that audio quality is important and hopefully better than the onboard mic on the iPhone!

    Thank You

Steve.. firstly I truly appreciate you watching my videos it really means a lot to me. I couldn’t agree with you more. I felt the car is as old as my MG but the design and engineering was so far ahead of its time. The engine sound alone is mesmerizing.

Thanks for the tour of your workshop. It’s very well organised. The Pantera is a very rare model. And so well presented. Regards from Australia 🇦🇺

Andrew, the shop belongs to PJ who is a true automotive genius. He has also built cars from scratch and I hope to present that in a future video. Thank you also for watching from Australia.. I have lots of family there and one day hope to visit and make videos of some great Australian cars that we rarely see in North America. I also wanted to take a moment to personally thank for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. As you may have seen in my videos that my intention is to showcase not only the beautiful car and really give the owner of the car (the caretaker as Jay Leno rightly says) the opportunity to share their story, love and passion for their car. Thanks again Kevin.

Kam.. I still find it hard to believe the Pantera is the same age as my MG.. however the Pantera is light years ahead in terms of engineering.. beautiful (and very expensive) machine.

I have a beautiful restored and modified '72 Pantera, and contrary to what was said and shown on the video, there is a luggage tray that fits over the transaxle that holds a tremendous amount of luggage or two golf bags. I have gone golfing with a friend with two bags in the trunk. Great car now that after more than 20 years of ownership I have made it a comfortable, reliable, drivable car. I now drive it every weekend and finally enjoy it rather than resent it.

Ted.. That is good to know. Please send me a picture of the luggage tray and I will share with PJ too! You can reach me by email at:

I am out of town until tomorrow evening. I will send as soon as I get back. It's an upholstered fiberglass tub that rests on the transaxle and goes up to the lid of hatch, quite spacious. Obviously, for those owners who have converted to 180° exhaust, this is no longer applicable

Keith, First of all thank you so very much for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. My intention for the videos is to allow "ordinary" people who love cars an opportunity to speak about their car and why that car means so much to them. After all we are all the "caretakers"of our cars (as Jay Leno rightly says). You said it. PJ is truly a genius and has built many cars over the years and many handcrafted from the ground up.
