I love Capital Reef. Its such an underrated park. I have 4 more recommendations for you. Lower Muley Twist Canyon. I did this as a 19 mile loop. Its one of the best hikes I've ever done. Sulpher Creek Slot Canyon. Super fun water hike. You'll walk below Goosenecks Point. Combine Cohab Canyon and Frying Pan trails to Cassidy Arch, then backtrack the same way you came from. It's a great hike. If your feeling adventurous do Frens Nipple. It involves route finding & scrambling. You definitely need a GPS. Thanks for making these videos. I enjoy them a lot.
THANK YOU, definitely will check them out! If we had more time we were looking at Cohab and Frying Pan to Cassidy, sadly just didn't have the time. Next trip!
I love your videos, I think you deserve more subscribers too. Only been to Capitol Reef once, but looking forward to going back in Sept this year. One of the most underrated national parks and could easily be the best of the Utah 5. My girlfriend and I experienced it in Jan, so no pies. 😢 I’ll give you one more hike that is easily in top 10. Sulphur Creek Waterfall hike.
Well done. We have been through the area once. We have a plan forming to go back and will refer to your video and input for hikes. Thank you!! Safe travels.
Another great video Kevin. More cool info. Got to see a few of the spots by doing the Loop, amidst a longer trip. Hopefully I get back an get to Burr Trail and Goosenecks.
Love the video. Just discovered your channel recently. Capitol Reef was my dads favorite park for photography. Have you hiked Chimney Rock/Spring canyon or Lower Muley Twist ?
Most people do the summer, and that's when the towns will be busiest/ have the most open. But my favorite is late September- early November and March-May, this way you beat most of the crowds!
Perfectly timed for when I'm booking all my stays! Visiting UT for the first time in May and I'm extremely excited. If you have any suggestions, after we leave Capitol Reef, we'll be staying 1 night somewhere down near Sand Hollow/Hurricane before heading back to Vegas airport. Do you have any suggestions for hotels/places to stay near the general Hurricane area? Thanks!
We typically stay in St. George! So many great hotel options there as it’s a big city. I loveeeee that area, and have a handful of videos of hikes and what to do in St. George and Zion. Check them out if you haven’t already and if you want more ideas for your trip!
