I have several neck knives, but don't wear them around my neck. Theyre great worn cross draw, scout carry, and tucked into a sock. I love the belt clips that come with the Minimalists.
I have one the standard version and .. . It's a good cheese knife but it you sharpen it and then angle the blade you got to were you can cut tape... it's is a nice unboxing knife as well for me breaks down card board so nice for me to ... Also if you had to cut apples with it or a sand witch or steak I find it works in punch for this to ... I imagine if you kept it sharp enough ... you could use it as a seat belt cutter when you need it for such.. or if you ever needed it for such ...
I carry my minimalist around my neck. Inside my shirt, of course. It’s the perfect size for it. I wasn’t a big fan of the idea until I tried it. I have the blackout on the way, and I’m pretty excited about it. Also, check out Flytanium’s G-10 scales for the minimalists. Turns it into a whole different knife, which I kind of prefer.
2:27 I just got one today at sportsman warehouse on sale for 19.99$ and I got just for the neck carry! I am new to it and got my wife a SOG instinct mini for her to wear as a neck knife because she has her own business and she delivers flowers and who knows who she might run into so just jncase she can defend herself or cause someone to think twice about attacking her
Yes I have carried a few neck knives for I live in an open carry area so if I have my mossy oak tanto in my waist band with my shirt behind it with the handle showing it's open carry enough but wearing small fix blades as neck knives works fine for me and Walmart doesn't question my neck knife
3:05 - My oldest (and only) neck knife is 35 years old! I used to wear it quite a bit when outdoors. I've been thinking about getting another neck knife so I appreciate your review and thoughts!!! 🙂
lol, yep, I actually found an interesting article about the recent trend of neck knives from November of last year, you'll be seeing a video on this trend from me soon as I research more this week.
Its been a common bushcraft thing for years from what I can tell. That being said it makes a fantastic scout carry knife. It makes carrying a fixed blade so easy
Neck knives work well in open carry areas it just does and when you don't use your knife in a threatening manner but you still use it as a cutting tool in public some may stare still but it's more of couriousty rather then harsh stares

The hole in the blade is made for a wall hook in a big kitchen/butcher shop.

Nice review but please don’t scratch your ear while holding a knife. You were lucky this time.
