For sure at point 12 is very inaccurate. Maybe for western perspective, someone's happiness and prosperity is measured by the money nominal (in this case USD), but they forget many aspects and parameters to measure people's prosperity. Of course, in simple terms, we in Indonesia classify it into the level of happiness in togetherness in society interaction, then the level of purchasing parity and power. Our government tries to suppress the inflation rate as much as possible, and maintain daily needs price level including energy prices such as fuel oil & gas. Therefore, it is not surprising that in Western/European countries the price of buying 1 meal (aggregate price) is at least 10-20 USD, but in Indonesia you will find 1 meal for 1 USD or less. That's why the economy is growing faster because the daily food needs which are the determinants of the cost of living level remain under control and affordable. However, it is true, the big problem in this country about inequality of prosperity is still high, for example, there are someone who super rich people, who have shares in multinational companies and go everywhere using their private jets. On the other hand, there are those who just have to work that day to get money to eat every day to get enough. But overall it is classified as a country with very high potential for progress based on many growth factors/resources. This country is in the process of improving itself, accompanied by indications of so many young talents emerging in the last 10-15 years.

Electric bill a month 50 $, water bill 30$, internet bill 35% , so ... there is indonesian low income, middle income, high income. On this video information mean to low income 2$ a day for meal.

$2.00 / day for.most of the populations, but they can still smile and still like to share whatever they have with strangers. They are so friendly and giving kind of people. You could be walking on the street, and the people just invite you to their place and a drink of coconut water, or cup of tea, or coffee with some condiment. No price to pay. I love the people of that country.
    God bless Indonesians. !!

Just imagine, the area of Indonesia is around 5000 km from west to east. If you take a plane from the western part of Indonesia, it might take 7.5 hours to get to eastern Indonesia and that's the same as if you were flying by plane from London, England to New York, United States. That's the area of Indonesia..❤🇮🇩

The daily income of the lower middle class in Indonesia is indeed small, but with $2 per day you can eat 2 times a day with a complete menu. Compare that to the large income in Europe but the burden of living is quite large, try looking for vlog videos of foreigners coming to Indonesia who buy goods with dollars, they will only enjoy their dollars after they arrive in Indonesia, hehe

There are many stories and historical evidence of civilization that have not been revealed to the international world, including my village and its surroundings which are not too far from Borobudur temple (the largest Buddhist temple in the world).
It turns out that my village was a complex of Hindu Shiva temple buildings in the 8th century and there are still many stones left from the temple buildings but unfortunately there is no preservation effort by the local government. The oldest wall paintings in the world are in the Leang Leang cave, the Gunung Padang Pyramid was erected long before the Egyptian Pyramids, and others.
You can see it on the ancient history channel in Indonesia which speaks English, without needing to make a reaction video.
Cultural greetings from me at 11 km northeast of Borobudur temple, Central Java.

I will say the number 12 is a bit inaccurate, although is true the salary is not big at all, but at the same time, the cost of living is not similar to a western countries, everything is Cheaper here and can't be compared directly to Western countries, although we Indonesian were not going to complain if our salary going up, the problem is the government need to maintain the cost of living to be low, sudden change of salary could make everything became suddenly very expensive and we don't want that to happen. So yeah number 12 is not completely wrong but i will say it a bit misunderstanding, because if you really want to count it, the salary and the cost of living is somewhat still manageable.

It is true that maybe half of our people spend only $2 a day, but remember not everything needs to be purchased. Our natural resources allow us to collect things without buying. We planted our rice, fruits, vegetables and so on. In the villages, people can simply ask for free and event foreigners can have free meals whenever they visit the houses. So, we don't think any of Indonesian people ever experience starving.

4:12 Did you know that before Indonesia's independence, it had several names, such as Nusantara, Sunda Islands, Insulindia, Nanyang, and Jawi. The tribes were scattered around Nusantara and eventually united to defend themselves against colonial rule.
5:41 We also have Komodo Island, which is the habitat where these Komodo dragons live and reproduce.
14:12 The recent case that had this death sentence, as I remember, was the "Ferdy Sambo case" on February 13, 2023. This is not my area of expertise, so you may want to look up more details about this case.
16:11 Yes, it is what it is, but personally, I feel it's still not fair. Even though we currently hold 51% of the mining company's stock and receive 70% of the profits, the unfairness I'm referring to is that these profits aren't really affecting the well-being of the majority of people in Indonesia.
17:40 Well it is quite silly, but many of my friends from Europe and even the US have secretly tried Indomie, which is an instant noodle originally from Indonesia. This product is now available worldwide, and you can easily find it in stores like Walmart, Target, and Carrefour lol.
19:58 But then, we're not firebenders, and we're not starting any war, LOL. (Referencing "Avatar: The Last Airbender")
12:29 No comments on this one, I'm definitely scared myself about this. But as far as I know, nowadays there are no more rituals like this. CMIIW
21:55 Whew! I'm glad that coconut 🥥 became the substitute for a head now, lol.
22:18 2 USD per day, huh? Well, I couldn't say that 5 USD per day is better, but FYI, the lowest salary on Java Island is 2 million IDR, which is around 129 USD as of today's currency (19 Oct 2024). Most people work Monday to Saturday, so that's 6 days a week, 24 days a month. That means 129 divided by 24 equals 5.3 USD, which is so lowwwwwwww. and remeber my other comment above this about the gold mining lol isnt that irony 🙃.
Well, that's why I want to improve my overall English, and if I could attract tourism in my area, I could earn more than 5 USD per day. Plus, there would be lots of benefits besides just money, like connections, friends, and maybe even a future wife, lol... Anyway, shout out to you for learning about Indonesia!

For number 12 I checked on World Bank site and it is not true. Percentage of Indonesians living below $2.15 in 2023 is 1.8%. I know the video is AI generated hence some factual errors but still, saying 50% of Indonesians live under $2 a day is crazy.

At this rate, my suspicion is with millennials and quite possibly the next generations choosing to be childfree, this alone will contribute to the decrease of the population.
