- This Bobov Wedding with Rabbi Shlomah Halberstam zt"l the Grand Rebbe of Bobov at his Great Grand-daughters wedding is so special that I had to edit it from the Documentary 'A Life Apart' and upload it for others to enjoy as much as I do and Im no chassid. But I appreciate the beauty of it. To see such modesty and piety by the Bride and Groom you wont see anywhere else. And of course the late Bobover Rebbe himself Rabbi Shlomah Halberstam zt"l doing the Mitzvah Dance, it is very very special and very rare to see if from outside the group. His dvekus (clinging to G-d) is but to behold. I hope you enjoy it and the niggun of the Mitzvah Dance as much as I do. Sing along with this niggun and feel the Kedusha (Holiness) flow through your veins and choke your eyes and voicebox. It does it to me everytime.
I do not know why, but I am really fascinated and thrilled by listening and watching, I can't say any more...
Such a beautiful wedding, with respect and honor. Such a beautiful people choosen by a wonderful God. God bless Israel. Thank you for sharing with us.
Best regards from France in Europe
Such beautiful tradition! So much love and pure joy!
Thank you so much for the subtitles and now I can know what is happening 😊👍🇦🇺
I had the great zchus (merit) to see the Bobiver Rebbe light Chanukah candles, following which he gave l'chaim to every single person in the beis medrash as we lined up to walk past him. I'll never forget that loving, warm, happy smile he had in his face as he greeted each ine of us oersonally. We beed Rebbes like he was. humble and loving.
I am sefardi and I love the bobov rebbe such a holy man 😊
are there any sefardi bobovers?
@@hammerotongo4677 I would say no.
@baruchhashem3719 , how do you know , Yes, could be sinse thew could be a 'Ball tsuva", and dont forget that's a huge chassides, meaning originaly you r right, but in recent years, could be.
A truly amazing and Spirit-filled piece of film----I intend to buy the entire program! Thanks for posting this; it made my mind up for me. Blessings always.....
Love the song
Typically known as the "Bobov Mitzvah Tantz Song/Niggun." Traditionally sung at the weddings of Bobover Hasidim.
There is a song with the same tune on Spotify called Bobov Mitzva Tantz by Mona Rosenblum if you're interested.
alright!! a smiling bride!!
my heilige rebbe! with you gone, gone is sholom from our kehila.

on each other.
please daven 4 us that we should learn how to have achdus again.
So sad 😪
nice to see the women enjoying themselves!
Cool
For anybody wondering, the song sung at 2:45 is the song that the Bobover Chassidim sing by their Mitzva Tantz and while I don’t know its specific name, if you want to find the tune, there are still videos being uploaded today of the current Bobover Rebbe dancing to the same tune, as in this video: ua-cam.com/video/thFD_aXa_2I/v-deo.html
I'm not even Jewish and I hum this to myself all the time. It's so catchy

Yes but even those the marriage is arranged, they do not have to agree to it if one or the other doesn't like each other, they have to both live each other
Brilliant. God bless them. Spurs fan. But where are the bacon sandwiches? 😢😮😊
And I thought my wedding had a lot of people!
The nigun at the end is by far the most beautiful and evocative I've heard. Does anyone know the name?

Esses anciãos dançando são muito engraçados, mas deve ter um significado bom. Gosto do povo judeu.
Esse homem era um grande santo, ele sobreviveu os nazistas, que arrancaram a barba dele puxando. Ele era famoso por fazer muitos milagres.

Is that the uncle Moishy Pizza song playing in the beginning?
This is probably where he got it from - Uncle Moishy’s songs are popular niggunim with his own lyrics and twist, so that is most likely where he got his pizza song tune from!
I hope this helps you
is there anyway you could upload the whole "a life apart" documentary?

Wow, to watch your great grand daughter's wedding! Especially after a catastrophe like the Holocaust. May she bring forth multitudes indeed. May she bring forth brigades. Living well is indeed the best revenge. The future belongs to the fertile. Hasidim will repopulate the Earth.
I saw a documentary that uses this same wedding clip, where the Rebbe's son(or grandson) explains that the Rebbe has 10 children and 72 grandchildren. He'll probably have 400-500 great grandchildren at that rate
At the current rate of growth, Hasidim double in population every 20 years, just like the Amish. The future certainly belongs to these groups
@@isaweesaw Well, there are other groups of similar fertility. Evangelicals have the
"Quiverfull Movement."
Secularists certainly do realize their day is over.
What is the niggun called when the rebbe's dancing? It sounds ever familiar

Does anyone know the niggun or song that the rebbe is dancing too?
Oprah8790 I've been looking for the name for years...
If someone knows the name of the niggun, please post it. Thank you!

The Rebbe is dancing to the Bobov Mitzva Tantz Niggun, which is still used to this day. If you search up any video of a Bobov Mitzva Tantz, they will most likely sing this Niggun.
A chasidishe chasine iz a groise un a heimishe chasine!
I wouldnt want to do that to deprive the producers of any income. Suggest you search for a paid copy from Amazon or Ebay.
Do you know from each year is this video? I'll be gratefull if you know. האם ידוע לך ממתי הסרט הזה? מאיזו שנה, המון תודות לך

Why are some wearing Shreitmels and others Kolpik, please.
Mostly goes according to 'minhag' (tradition) of ones father, group (sect) or Rebbe. Different sects have different style shtriemels, taller or wider etc. Some as in last few frames wear a Kolop (borsalino) they are equally as orthodox but are worn by those prevalent in the business world so theres a slight conformity. Kolpik might also be worn by those yet unmarried. Shtreimels are worn by Ballei batim, ie married men with families. PS. I am not chassidic so am no expert, but from what I understand.
