  • DREO and Nanofoamer both produced perfect froth. DREO is better in its totality, ease of cleaning and beginner friendliness with nice menu and timer indicator. On the other hand, Nanofoamer Pro has the right size for mobility.
This is not Nano Gen-2, I'll add it in once I'm more familiar with it.

This is giving early YT vibes and I’m digging it.

Thanks for the comparison. I backed the nanofoamer pro and have been using it with similar issues you had. Cleaning the jug definitely sucks since you constantly worry about getting the electronics wet. So the dreo has a huge plus on a detachable fully washable jug. But the downside is that it is so big! It doesn't fit in with my small counter aesthetic. 😅

Had no idea the Dreo was so huge compared to the pro, thanks for this video 😊

If I call nanofoamer v1 wand a XS, then nanofoamer pro is a M, and DREO is XL :D

Thank you so much for the video, this was so helpful. I ‚ordered‘ the Dreo on via Kickstarter right away!

Looks like you didn't read the instructions.
OK means it's essentially done but if you want the milk to get hotter you can let it keep going.
You can also get an upgrade kit for Gen 2 which fixes most usability problems.
After you use the nano once you should have a good idea how long it takes and you should be able to time your shots after the first usage.

That's awesome input thanks so much.
By the way I've got Gen2 and the OK stays the same so as the verdict (I know it can hit 70C in gen2 :D). As the comparison metric, It's the perspective from a beginner lens and hence beginner-friendliness.
In fact I love Nano for the advanced user feature as I can stop the heating before it got too thick. Will post in next video. Thanks !

Great video! I find the nanofoamer pro terrible inconsistent when doing back to back frothing. Does the dreo have the same issue? Thanks!

Does the milk scum form on the inside base on the dreo similar to the nano foamer pro? I find it annoying needing to clean the scum after frothing 1 batch before I can do the next one.

    • @LeftyCoffee

Cleaning wise, DREO is lots easier as compared to Nano pro. Indeed its real annoying on nano, and the max I do with nano is 2 cups :D

Is nano gen2 better than dreo? Especially for cleaning? Dreo makes micro goam in 3:30, how fast is nano gen2? thx

    • @LeftyCoffee
      @LeftyCoffee  Місяць тому +1

Hard to make the blanket judgement which one better though. I see Nano Gen2 has its strength in frothing to hotter temp, the frothing time shorter than 3:30, about 2:30-3, and I like it's size which makes it easier to be carried around. Cleaning wise Gen 2 was better than Gen 1, but still not on-par with DREO. DREO is kinda like the starter all-in-one pack as it has everything one need.

@@LeftyCoffee Thanks for answer. I’ve already backed dreo but like nano because of design and small form factor. Also faster so looking forward for your review, especially cleaning part :)

Thanks, this is a great question I never thought of.
Am thinking not because there are electrical appliances after all.
For DREO the jug maybe can, for Nano you dont want to put in a dishwasher.
