Check out sign of the cross from this same concert, the guitars on this songs played a triple harmony that's why it sounded like bagpipes.
Great reaction! I’m part Scottish and have visited twice. The first time off the plane I felt eerily at home and immediately saw a sign in the airport…”Welcome to the biggest little country in the world!” I can only imagine your feelings as a Scot when listening. My favourite song and I’ve seen it performed live. The Rio video is epic. Maiden can only be described as musical savants. If Mozart, Beethoven and Shakespeare were alive today they’d be Iron Maiden for their music and dramatic story telling. The theatrical and operatic display is unparalleled in modern times. A front man in Bruce who is the true definition of the term. A catalogue of music spanning almost 50yrs and many millennia of history, cemented by Harris. Maiden is not a band. They’re a mythical period in time.

I was 39 when I had the privilege to visit Scotland... while Edinburgh was amazing and Glasgow was nice I was absolutely dumbfounded by Skye, the highlands and Inverness...
As a Costarrican I have considered myself Scot at heart since that trip and the fact that I can see two of my fav things combined in a song, Maiden and Scotland... that's just top.
Scotland is amazing, Maiden are amazing, the two combined.. I can only dream of experiencing them together.
Skye is so beautiful. Inverness too, I live up close by Inverness 😊 ofcourse Edinburgh etc are nice too but alot of people when they come to Scotland don't come visit like skye etc and that's ashame....they missing out, it's a bonnie wee country

They bring back this song to their setlist on The Legacy of the Beast tour and i witnessed it live in 2018 and it was AMAZING! Tbh this song is so relevant to so many other countries, like I saw it in Poland and the crowd went crazy with the chorus.

I saw Iron Maiden in September 2022 in Anaheim. They were awesome. Full throttle from start to finish.

Proud of my Scottish ancestry...I also have Irish, Dutch, English, and Cherokee, but I wonder if the English blood comes from when the English tried to breed the Scottish out...Reminds me of Braveheart... Great song...1 of my top 3 favorite bands...🎸🏴🎸

Medieval times are not the dark ages by the way. The dark ages accured after the Romans left as there’s very little known about that time. Great song mind
For live versions, yes, Rock In Rio is the way, but I personally, prefer to listen (and watch reacts) of the studio versions. The clansman with Blaze Bayley sounds better to me.
