  • In our last few days in Mexico, we explore the famous Tulum's Mayan Ruins and went on a Coral Reef Snorkeling tour at the second biggest coral reef on the planet!
    Tulum's Mayan Ruins are an imposing site perched high above the beach on Tulum's coast, with plenty of greenery there was lots of wildlife like Iguana's to see. During our time snorkelling on the coral reef just off the coast of Tulum we swam with Manta Rays, Sea Turtles and saw all sorts of beautiful fish, It was amazing!

    I did snorkeling in Puerto Morelos and in Tulum, and definitely Tulum was much better. Mexico is beautiful and amazing.

      Ah we miss Tulum so much, we were there just before the pandemic so it feels like such a long time ago now. I hope it has kept its charm and natural beauty since then. Thanks for the support Marco!

    Rockstar Iguanas! I love how there are iguanas and other things crawling all over the ruins (which look really clean and tidy btw). I guess that shows that long after human civilisation is gone that life goes on. Snorkelling looked great, can't believe you even had a little ray just swimming through!

      Yes the iguanas looked like they had seen every type of tourist before as they sun bathed on the ruins! Yes we didn't notice the baby Ray amongst the group that swim under us until we looked back on the footage, super cute! Thanks for the support!! :)

    Oh I love Tulum! It's been a very long time since I've visited, but it's really fascinating. The beach right next to the ruins is a great draw, too. The snorkeling looks amazing, too!

    That is a beautiful beach but quite rocky. We love going to the beaches and it's officially summer now here in New Zealand yey! That's the beauty of travelling, sometimes we have to change plans but most of the time it is worth it! Cheers to more travelling guys!

      Thanks so much! Yes, there are some really stunning sandy white beaches in Tulum so we decided to head further up the Playa than climb over all the rocks near the ruins! Thanks so much for the support! :)

    So you have to pay to record at every site in Mexico? I didn't know that. The ruins looks cool, I really enjoy visiting ancient ruins and the whole Mayan culture fascinates me, you guys are lucky to see so much here. They are still in pretty good shape actually.

    • @Hungry_Voyager
      @Hungry_Voyager  4 роки тому

      Well we can't say for sure it's every site but all of the ones we went too there is a fee for recording equipment. I would imagine you would get away with an iPhone etc but as we have an external mic with a deadcat wind break it's a bit tough to avoid! Hopefully the ruins are kept in good shape for generations to come! Thanks for the support :)

    How alive are the coral reefs? It seems a bit damaged or at least most of the colours are gone.

    • @Hungry_Voyager
      @Hungry_Voyager  4 роки тому

      This is a good question, I'm certainly not a professional in this field but although it was full of fish the coral itself was lacking in colour and could be a victim of coral bleaching but as I say It's certainly not a field i'm familiar with! Thanks for the support.

    what's the name of the snorkeling tour company??

    • @Hungry_Voyager
      @Hungry_Voyager  4 роки тому +2

      Sorry, don't remember the name of the one we used but if you head to Playa Pescadores it was at the entrance to the beach there, there were a few companies doing it, maybe just ask around a get a good price :) Hope you manage to get out to the reef, it was fantastic! Thanks for the support.
