The OP was better off clearing his own name by sending evidence to those same people that chose to chastise him for the wrong reasons and remind them to chastise her for lying to them down the line and be done with it.
I agree especially as he could have text history showing the admittance. Plus the moment I learned of the drug use I'd of been recording the conversation to show any potential drugs in the place are her's
He should send screenshots of the convo to ex friends if there is and sue her for defamation/ slander. She wasn't drugged against her will. She admitted that she took him upstairs for drugs. I personally think she wasn't even roped. I think she had to come clean when she was hospitalized. She has to fabricate a story to why there was drugs in her and why she was upstairs with John. The easiest way out for her was to pin it on John as a patsy so it can explain away everything to OP, but she didn't account that there were witnesses. That's why her story has to keep changing

I think that if someone cheats on you than you should leave and not look back. But with this situation it’s hard to think of what to do. I would have taken the girl back but after the post on social media, yeah I would have completely left her stranded
I’m so mad at this. Sara is obviously a manipulator, and I garuntee that those parties she kept going to, she’s been cheating with John the whole time. She didn’t wanna leave him just because he was her friend, but also because her parents likely kept them apart while she was with them. It would make sense why they don’t want to really do anything for her, cuz they know about her relationship as far as drug use. I’m almost convinced she turned on John because she not only got caught in her cheating, but also because she knows his background. She used that against him, just like her using social media against OP.
I hope OP can eventually see this, but here is what I agree you should do.
1) document the evidence and send to her parents. Explain it all. Leave nothing, including her post.
2) Send to your boss. This can be helpful if step 1 leads her to harrass you at work.
3) Get confirmations from those people with her at the parties w/ John and post it all, tag the friends that were with every party she went to with John. Including those who saw her that night she was SA’ed. Add this: “I hope you know that you enabled this.”
Edit: I know he mentioned bruises, but even still, it’s likely she used that to further claim abuse. Still believe it was consentual.
