This band was formed by Bassist Miho and Drummer Haruna former members of thr Fantasia Metal band Destrose. The guitarists are Midori and Miyako who also is a concert pianist. The singer Amani studied classical ballet since the age of 2. She came to the US to try fir a singing career as a Soul and R & B singer. She sang backup but didn't have much success. She went back to Japan and auditioned for this band knowing nothing abouts Heavy Metal. She sang Lovebites by Halestorm. They loved the audition and song so much they named the band after it. Miho's goal was to play Iron Maiden style songs. Highly recommend tha you check out Lovebites Swansong with Chopin Intro. This song will completely blow you away.
A few things about Lovebites. They get their name from a Halestorm song "Lovebites (And So Do I)". When asked about their dresses in an interview with a French metal mag Asami (the singer) said, "We're girls we don't want to dress like boys. Also we are all small and it's easier to see us on stage in white." And they ARE small, Asami(singer) and Haruna (drummer) are both around 4' 9", Midori (blond guitarist) is 4' 10", Miho (bass, and no longer with the band) is 4' 11", Miyako (other guitarist) is the tallest at 5' 2". Asami had not sang metal before joining Lovebites, she was a R&B singer having studied in the US for a little bit. Miyako is the main songwriter and has studied concert piano since she was 3(to hear her on piano look for the Lovebites song, Swan Song w/ Chopin intro). Miho (bass) left the band in 2021 amicably (her father passed away and she was no longer having fun). Lovebites had a world wide audition for a new bassist and last year welcomed Fami (you can find her solo stuff on UA-cam) The band just released their newest album Judgement Day. Fans of Lovebites are collectively called The Wolf Pack. Be ready for their arrival. Lovebites has over 50 song and they do not have a bad song. Miyako, the guitarist with black hair was between 4-5 months pregnant when this video was made. She played several two hour concerts during March 2021 before going on maternity leave.
yes. tahnk you. these ladies are something else. the goal, when lovebites was founded was, to show the world that they are sophisticated ladies, who can play real heavy metal, while still staying feminine. this concert was 120 min (with a break) at neck breaking pace. and miyako (dark haired giutarist) was in the fouth or fifth month of her pregnancy. the band was on hiatus from august 2021 til october 2022 (founder and bassplayer miho had left on friendly terms, there were marriages and childbirths too and of course covid). they all used that time for family work, practising, writing new material and searching for a new bassplayer. new member fami was presented in october 2022. now they are back with a new album, stronger, fitter, better and faster than ever. their new album is their best one. their lyrics are mostly uplifting, about not giving up, loving and be yourself and overcome obstacles. these ladies have shown in real life, that these are not just empty words. their musicianship, stage presence and charisma you just have witnessed. they are one of the best metal bands around.

You've really done it now ! Fallen down the Lovebites " rabbit hole " . 🤣 These ladies are some of the best metal musicians on the planet right now - which is remarkable in itself - but even more remarkable when you realise that BOTH guitarists didn't start playing guitar until they were around 19 or 20 years old . Miyako ( dark haired ice queen on guitar ) is a classically trained pianist who writes the music for a lot of the bands songs and is a SELF TAUGHT guitarist ! Midori ( blonde guitarist ) also has a keyboard background Asami ( vocals ) has an R&B background and is a trained dancer Haruna ( drums ) is a pocket ( 4'10" ) powerhouse who never misses a beat and in this video Miho ( bass ) is superb but has since left the band and been replaced by Fami ( naturally equally superb - but slightly different ) I'd suggest perhaps reacting to " Swan Song " ( with the Chopin intro ) to give you an idea of their virtuosity - but there are so many great tracks it's a difficult choice . No band song from the past. However, the new Album, Judgement Day, with the new bass player is nothing but fast and hard and no bad songs on it. I came across them on December 7th and have not stopped listening to them.

Congratulations, you just found the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing. LOVEBITES is one of my holy trinity of five-piece bands of Japanese superwomen. The other two are BAND-MAID and Nemophila. Where LOVEBITES tends toward more traditional metal, Nemophila is more modern metal and BAND-MAID is more hard rock. Hey Kelly. Would you consider reacting to Nestor - On The Run? Nestor is a Swedish band, originally founded in 1989 by teenagers, but they only really got going due to covid induced spare time and released their first album in 2021. They do 80's influenced rock/hair metal, with a modern twist.
They wear white because they are petite ladies and metal stages are rather dark. White reflects the light so they stand out. All Japanese Rock/Metal band songs require 5 views to Get what they are doing, example with Lovebites, my 2nd view is always Haruna the unreal drummer.

This band was formed by Bassist Miho and Drummer Haruna former members of thr Fantasia Metal band Destrose.
The guitarists are Midori and Miyako who also is a concert pianist. The singer Amani studied classical ballet since the age of 2. She came to the US to try fir a singing career as a Soul and R & B singer. She sang backup but didn't have much success. She went back to Japan and auditioned for this band knowing nothing abouts Heavy Metal. She sang Lovebites by Halestorm. They loved the audition and song so much they named the band after it.
Miho's goal was to play Iron Maiden style songs.

A few things about Lovebites. They get their name from a Halestorm song "Lovebites (And So Do I)". When asked about their dresses in an interview with a French metal mag Asami (the singer) said, "We're girls we don't want to dress like boys. Also we are all small and it's easier to see us on stage in white." And they ARE small, Asami(singer) and Haruna (drummer) are both around 4' 9", Midori (blond guitarist) is 4' 10", Miho (bass, and no longer with the band) is 4' 11", Miyako (other guitarist) is the tallest at 5' 2". Asami had not sang metal before joining Lovebites, she was a R&B singer having studied in the US for a little bit. Miyako is the main songwriter and has studied concert piano since she was 3(to hear her on piano look for the Lovebites song, Swan Song w/ Chopin intro). Miho (bass) left the band in 2021 amicably (her father passed away and she was no longer having fun). Lovebites had a world wide audition for a new bassist and last year welcomed Fami (you can find her solo stuff on UA-cam) The band just released their newest album Judgement Day. Fans of Lovebites are collectively called The Wolf Pack. Be ready for their arrival. Lovebites has over 50 song and they do not have a bad song. Miyako, the guitarist with black hair was between 4-5 months pregnant when this video was made. She played several two hour concerts during March 2021 before going on maternity leave.

yes. tahnk you. these ladies are something else. the goal, when lovebites was founded was, to show the world that they are sophisticated ladies, who can play real heavy metal, while still staying feminine.
this concert was 120 min (with a break) at neck breaking pace. and miyako (dark haired giutarist) was in the fouth or fifth month of her pregnancy.
the band was on hiatus from august 2021 til october 2022 (founder and bassplayer miho had left on friendly terms, there were marriages and childbirths too and of course covid). they all used that time for family work, practising, writing new material and searching for a new bassplayer. new member fami was presented in october 2022.
now they are back with a new album, stronger, fitter, better and faster than ever. their new album is their best one. their lyrics are mostly uplifting, about not giving up, loving and be yourself and overcome obstacles. these ladies have shown in real life, that these are not just empty words. their musicianship, stage presence and charisma you just have witnessed. they are one of the best metal bands around.

These ladies are some of the best metal musicians on the planet right now - which is remarkable in itself - but even more remarkable when you realise that BOTH guitarists didn't start playing guitar until they were around 19 or 20 years old .
Miyako ( dark haired ice queen on guitar ) is a classically trained pianist who writes the music for a lot of the bands songs and is a SELF TAUGHT guitarist !
Midori ( blonde guitarist ) also has a keyboard background
Asami ( vocals ) has an R&B background and is a trained dancer
Haruna ( drums ) is a pocket ( 4'10" ) powerhouse who never misses a beat
and in this video Miho ( bass ) is superb but has since left the band and been replaced by Fami ( naturally equally superb - but slightly different )
I'd suggest perhaps reacting to " Swan Song " ( with the Chopin intro ) to give you an idea of their virtuosity - but there are so many great tracks it's a difficult choice .

Congratulations, you just found the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet).
Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing.
In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining.
They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."

LOVEBITES is one of my holy trinity of five-piece bands of Japanese superwomen. The other two are BAND-MAID and Nemophila. Where LOVEBITES tends toward more traditional metal, Nemophila is more modern metal and BAND-MAID is more hard rock. Hey Kelly. Would you consider reacting to Nestor - On The Run? Nestor is a Swedish band, originally founded in 1989 by teenagers, but they only really got going due to covid induced spare time and released their first album in 2021. They do 80's influenced rock/hair metal, with a modern twist.
They wear white because they are petite ladies and metal stages are rather dark. White reflects the light so they stand out.
All Japanese Rock/Metal band songs require 5 views to Get what they are doing, example with Lovebites, my 2nd view is always Haruna the unreal drummer.
