I always enjoy your videos Joe. Good to see you foolin' with the camera. Thank you kindly for sharing your progress. Wishing for all the best. Take care 🐝🐝
Good to see some new videos Joe, I didn't recieve the notification for it. How many years did you raise queens before you started noticing the black queen cell virus? We raise a couple hundred a year for the past 3 years and haven't seen any ourselves as of yet. Just curious so I can be on the lookout. Thank you, love the videos
I'm going back to two framers, been running the little mini nucs, and as soon as it got hot they start absconding a day or so after the queen starts to lay, lost a lot of mated queens, don't know where they go with a cup of bees lol.
Hey Joe, good to see you still kicking. What is your receipt for Black queen cell virus? Sugar to tetracycline1.3 oz. container? I had a lot of queen cells that didn't hatch, and I thought it was heat or chilled factor. I need to start using your method. Thanks for all your beekeeping tips or I should say: Money savers.
Hi Joe! So good to see you!… the nucs I got from you last spring are wonderful. They over wintered like I couldn’t believe. Came out of winter almost as big as they went in. I’m pulling frames of honey as they’re capped and gotten 11 frames (over 40# so far). …I don’t think they have swarmed at all. I guess I’m wondering if I should requeen this year or over winter these? (2hives - year oldish queens)
Joe I was wondering how you get terramycin now, years ago it was in every hardware store but I heard it takes a vets prescription to buy the antibiotic?
Glad to see you back
Impressed

For the most part I don't think it matters.
I was wondering if Joe May the beekeeper had retired, he-he.
Never heard of this virus, I would have loved to see what it looks like or do you just know you have it when your queens stop hatching.
The very bottom of the capped queen cell turned black and as Joe said will not hatch.

That is true it takes a prescription when I go out west in the winter I get in Mexico.
I actually found some on Ebay and Tylan also.
