With so a huge cast, excellent animation, and features, this game looks like it will top Alpha 3. I wish it was for the PS3 but I have to now buy a PSP just for this awesome game!
@elmundanito Z2 is set in an alternate version of the unified Earth from Z1. The heroes from Z1 are somehow transported to the Z2 Earth, which is in a middle of a very bloody conflict from several factions including Zero's Knights, Dr. Hell's Metalbeast Army, the Vajra, and the Invaders, to name a few. It's mentioned in Z1 that classic Ryoma saw a silhouette of the Shin Getter and his own self in the Z2 Earth at one point.
@WingsTM In the Z series an event caused several different worlds to be merged together. So they dont share history but have sudenly found themselves sharing the same world.
@VashxShanks I wouldn't worry too much. It will definitely get some sort of crazy upgrade mid to late stages. And we got the blonde gal which may be recruitable. With a cast this good, the OG units are pretty much icing on the cake.
@VashxShanks It's already confirmed to be only Crow, as the first few stages and route splits has already been shown by this week's Famitsu. They'll most likely make one for part 2 thought.
@Renkin Yeah, it occured to me after I posted this that all of the series with AUs (Eureka 7, Getter Robo, and the Mazingers) have been replaced with said AUs.
@rematche Actually, it is. Shin Getter might have really similar power source, but it only went up to planet cutter, and that's with Shin Dragon's help. And the bomb in Gaia would only take out the Earth, and that is if Takeru dies, which is extremely unlikely, considering Godmars and all. Gaia might be more dangerous because of it's uncontrollable bomb, but TTGL went way above everyone in Z did. And you better believe that Kouji, Ryouma, Simon and the rest of the Z cast will not let Takeru die.

@LanceVulcano I just heard from my brother that when start the beginning of the game you can pick your protagonist Melee or Ranged type is that even true? If it is true I would definitely choice melee.

@Feijoada1 It's very difficult and costly to create HD 2.5D sprites on the PS3. As the PS3 is in third place in the console wars, it's not a viable option. Despite Nintendo's dominance in the handheld business, the PSP is doing very well. Nintendo was also very strict in its policy for Wii games, which is why the Wii was not chosen for Z2 after Neo. Since no one in Japan ever liked the 360, no reason for an SRW game to be in it.

@LanceVulcano I just hope the new protagonist gets some kind of second form or maybe combine with that female original in this video. I really doubt that protagonist is going to combine with a ship and another robot like Valzacard, but if it happen that I will be very surprised XD.

@zedo0 PSP games, like the PS3, are region-free. So even if you have a US PSP, you can still play Japanese games on it with no problem.

sad news is because of legal issues, i cant find the rest of the official translation of english super robot wars. so far i only got 3 titles
