By acting like they were powerful deities who had the ability to move the heavens, they could have secured faithful, trusting servants to build up a kingdom.

That was a rather unexpected and shocking twist ending there. Kudos to the writer for the clever way they used the general knowledge of the fans and completely turn it on its head to make such a revelation

Another point is when she thought she would send flutter shy and her to a cell In the ever free forest. Basicly I don't think equestria runs completely on trust atleast not on the princess.

The point is simply that she isn't as all-powerful as she pretends to be, meaning she knows she won't be able to repel the changeling invasion as someone who juggles around a sun should easily be able to. She's honestly warning Trixie not to fall into the same trap.

ok so imagine you wanted to be powerful, so you decide to fake power. then people start looking up to you and relying on you. having the ability to survive for thousands of years that grows into a belief that almost everyone shares. it becomes a trap as she said. even if she did want to stop faking it she could not and is stuck with this falsehood forever. the reason she is so mad is because she is concerned. she wishes to repent for her lies by helping another to not share her fate. basically she can't stand to see history repeat itself when she is the evidence of the last time. either that or she is a changeling faking being celestia who does really have that power.this is actaully quite possible considering the conversation she had with shining armor
