Found you totally by accident and this hit home for me. I did the exact same walk of shame at Carowinds about 15 years ago and still struggling today. Thank you so much for what you are doing. The words of encouragement in the video really touched my heart and helped me with my struggles. Thank you once again.
I been fat shamed off a ride in the past I can admit I cried before now I have been going to theme parks enough I don’t let it bother me. if they don’t have a test seat I’ll try the ride. I don’t let the shame bother me, other guests don’t know you and you don’t know them and they won’t even remember or care after you or them get off that ride. You do what makes you happy, I thank you for doing these videos. I’m 5’11” 315 lbs i have a few videos I have done myself at a few parks. You do a great job so keep up the good work. Hopefully I can help you if you ever visit my home park Frontier City.
I'm glad you came back after all those years! You absolutely are helping so many people. I can say that the haters saying that should of been a wakeup call didn't know you then or now. I was a child when I had my first experience now fitting on a ride and I didn't have a wakeup call because I was so young. I'm so grateful there are people like you and others who are going out and making people like me feel like we deserve to have fun and not be shamed. It is so refreshing. Thank you so so so much!
100% agree with the points you made about shame as a motivator. Shame fades away and old habits resurface. But when you approach it from the aspect of it holding you back from things you really want to do, it hits home and stays with you. Good luck and thanks for the videos.
Really appreciate all you do. I know it’s gotta be hard at times even though you handle it great and like it’s no trouble at all. You help a ton of people out there myself included. Thank you.
Dude I’m planning a trip to Carrie da with my girlfriend and I’ve gained weight due to family loss/grief. It’s been a year since I’ve visited and your videos have given me so much insight into the potentials of my visit and what to expect. Thank you so much!!!! You are an absolute blessing!!! 🙏🏽
@@fattestedtravel yessir! I finally finished it too! My favorite parts are when you talk about your history of going there sure but mainly when you talk about your challenges of weight loss and life and so on because I and my wife face them too. We want to lose inches(don’t care about the weight number as much) so we can more easily enjoy experiences and rides… we LOVE Disney and we simply can’t do a few of the rides yet… and universal would be nice to do as well(your universal video recently tho was encouraging because maybe I can ride a few more than i thought anyway) Sorry for the long comment… thank you again!
Thank you for sharing your story with us. I have been plus size most of my life. I have lost a bit of weight these past two years. I am currently struggling with the fact that my body is a bit smaller now. I am new to your channel. Thank you for sharing your trip to this amusement park. Keep up the great work.
I just found your channel. I'm plus sized also. I'm 49 around 340pds. I cannot walk far so I am so happy seeing you walking so much. I would have to use a scooter to get around a theme park but I don't want to go to them because I feel sad I have to pay full price to not even enjoy many of the rides. Keep your videos coming. You are amazing!!! Love your channel!!
I think we all remember our first "walk of shame". Mine was Wicked Twister at Cedar Point. I was going to ride with my little brother. He was already buckled in when they pulled me off. He got off the ride and told me it sucked anyway.
I failed a seat at Knoebels Grove in Pennsylvania once on the drop tower and it was so embracing. But since I have started loosing weight I have less of these experiences and more good rides. That being said, I had planned on a Carowinds trip at some point. It might be helpful it you talk about your dimensions. This can help make it easier to make determinations.
Thank you for doing this so I know what I’m gonna be walking into. My first walk of shame was 8 years ago at carowinds in front of my whole family and I wanted to cry. That day has scarred me. I’m supposed to go to Carowinds this weekend. I don’t want to go, but I’m making myself do it.
Thank you for doing this. My wife and I are a bit on the larger side, worried we may not fit. Because of you, we are now able to set expectations for rides we may actually be able to ride. We're both heavier set, I'm 5'8 260 lb and she's 5'6 240 lb so we'll see how this goes!
I just wanted to add another comment Thanks for being u. I’ve lost weight and still have a ways to go! I avoided everything for so long. Hid myself away. So very insecure. Wouldn’t go out. No amusement parks. Because one bad experience when I was 15 at Santa Cruz on a drop ride. I didn’t fit and after that I stopped feeling like I should take up space in the world. I faced my fear last May and said eff it went to great America in Santa Clara and I was able to fit everything huge moment for me. Then I went to universal and I posted my self to a universal Hollywood forum size dimensions and all sharing info to help others. And for me that was my personal full circle moment. Just wanted to share. I’m rooting for u. And for it worth from a stranger I’m happy for you that ur seeking joy and happiness. I pray God bless you you mind body and soul.
Thank you so much for doing what you do. I am a plus size woman who's been obese since the age of 7 because of undiagnosed thyroid problems. I'm now starting to lose weight again and have recently lost about 60lbs. I have been flirting with the idea of going to Holiday World or Cedar Point or somewhere in the midwest. If you'd enjoy a companion to help you film and encourage you along, let me know! I still remember having to get off a roller coaster and my walk of shame at age 13 at Kings Dominion in Virginia. Was heartbreaking, embarrassing, and it's so hard to think about going to try again. But your videos have helped me so much with the preparation!.
Holy cow you're so close to us! We used to go to Carowinds 2-3 times a year or at least once a year! I haven't been like 20+ years I think... lets see whats up!
Thanks for doing this! I'm wishing you the best. Not to overstep, but I started Monjouro and have lost 30 lbs so quickly. I understand it's pricey unless you have a condition that warrants the medication. Best of luck!
Silver Dollar City would be a good choice since its similar to Dollywood but with some different rides. Also Kennywood which has a lot of unique and older rides.
Also found you by accident trying to learn more about the park. You're a god to the other fat people and saving them from the disappointment, especially on the kid rides. Getting shamed in front of your kid has got to be the worst. Amusement parks are excellent exercise. I hope you can drop some lb's, come back, and ride everything you weren't able to fit on, in due time. I'm not fat but picked up a bunch of lbs over Covid. What worked for me as a 45 year old with a bad back and hip was being fed up with feeling like shit, and intermittent fasting. Cut out breakfast except for coffee. Don't eat after 7, and try not to eat your first meal until noon. Don't starve yourself but also don't try to make up the calorie deficit. If you're a beer drinker, only do that friday-saturday. You can smoke weed, but don't do that and drink at the same time.. It's food kryptonite. 6 months later you'll fit on more rides. Thank you and good luck.
Cedar Fair is obsessed with seatbelts. It’s a lawyer thing. I don’t know if it’s based on one incident that happened at one of their parks or they got a premium discount for it, but I felt for you every time you got denied. I’ve.watched a few other of your park visits and I root for you every time you fit. And I’m surprised at what you can fit in sometimes like a Zamperla Rock N’ Tug and Great American Scream Machine at Six Flags Over Georgia.
I remember go told at my state fair I was too big to fit on the ride and I was shaking the ride. I was so embarrassed. It was like in front of people oh my God I never went back in 18 years.
Last time I went there a worker shamed me in front of everyone said I was too big for the ride. I’m not huge I have big legs. But it ruined my whole trip and I’ve been too embarrassed to ride another ride since. I know it’s a first world problem but ugh.
I don't know if all the staff know how to deal with people that don't fit, but thankfull no one purposely shamed me. I'm so sorry that happened to you.
Hey man, I checked out your channel and I love it you’re so inspiring and you have good energy for UA-cam. One thing though, I rode the bumper cars and I’m not super plus size, I’m like 290 something but it’s a mix of fat and muscle and I was able to ride bumper cars without even wearing the restraint
most family rides will pass a "fat test" as they are more accomodating due to being low force for small children. the bigger rides not being accomodating to larger guests is down to they design for average and its a safety issue. and i will say that a recent visit to my home park of six flags great america having an old ride i rode as a kid called american eagle, i tried to get on and had to take a walk of shame with my wife, but and i dont know if you had this at that time. im taking it as a changing moment of wanting to lose weight so i can renjoy the ride. even tho my wife called it shameful as we walked away, i laughed but inside i knew i needed to change something. im not going to let the weight i gained stop me from enjoying life. im 42 and i want to be near my weight i dropped down to when i was 23 to join the usaf. 190 pounds is unrealistic but i think i can get to 250 or 240. havent checked a scale so i dont know exactley where im at....but im worried its over 300. being tall lets my body hide it so the gain sneaks up on me. my suggestion if you are a big person like me and the video producer here and want to enjoy the more exciting rides....make it a motivation to lose the pounds and be able to enjoy the rides.

How it affects the taxes if you work there: you have to file for both states. You also can’t work in some areas because of the different laws.

Good video thanks
The main question is the tax’s effect of the park right
They should have one car or one row on every ride that accommodates a larger rider. That just makes sense.
Im not obese but i found mynself watching this as its very interesting. And makes me feel happy when you can fit in a ride.
Thank you ❤
I would be so mad if I got the seat belt to work on so many rides yet not be able to ride. These parks need to do better
Maybe do better at losing weight. It's not the responsibility of the park to accommodate people who don't care about their health.
