Watching as my wife drives. Bob comes on and starts talking, and she asks “do you understand anything he is saying?”. I just chuckled and kept watching!! I told her she needs to see the subtitles!
You just have to give Bob credit for taking on the new technology and giving it hell. I have a lot of respect for the man. And being helped by two great boys doesn't hurt anything. Hope you guys are getting some rain, take care !!!
With the family all working together looks like you're making good progress. Dad seems to be in his comfort zone in the new combine teamed with BJ on the cart. Should free you up to keep rolling on planting double-crops.
Thanks for another great video Brian and BJ and Dad, Bob. It was interesting and enjoyable to watch. Sorry about the A/C not working in one of the trucks. Makes for a hot day but got to keep the wheels rolling. Believe BJ said one truck sidelined with an air leak. Keeping trucks rolling is almost a full time job. Your Dad really had the Fendt combine dialed in I do believe. He likes that Honey Bee header. They did a good job. Seems your wheat harvest is going well so far. Not so easy in this hot humid weather. Looks good to be seeding for your double crop. Sorry that lid came off on that seed container. Probably an easy fix i assume. Believe you said about three more days of seeding double crop. Will be nice if wheat harvest is done then also. Guess that is about it. Glad things are moving along well. Thanks for everything Brian’s and family. Take care and be safe. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Hey Brian, I’m really enjoying your videos and am really pleased that your IDEAL is going well. You were saying you liked the Challenger yellow, did you know you can specify your own colour on a Fendt? They’re not all green or black! Your dealer just needs to find a RAL code that is close to the Challenger yellow and Fendt will spray it that colour. You can choose you wheel rim and wheel weight colour too.
Does the Fendt combine have an air compressor? if so maybe u could rig up a blow off system to keep the bearing house clean and feeder house blowed off sure u done Brian stormed that Idea...Great Vid👍👍👍👍
Look up the Ideal air blaster kit from AGCO for cleaning off straw and chaff from the feederhouse and header. That's really a nice and simple system that cleans off the debris every couple minutes👍
Buy out the challenger lease the price of new equipment is so high by the way I can understand your father and I appreciate all of you sharing you days hi from wet michigan
My friend had two fendt 10t combines on his farm. He didn’t like them for wheat. He went to two case af11 combines and he said they are better for the wheat. Otherwise I enjoy the videos. I used to farm until I was almost killed in a farming accident. Now I’m in a wheelchair.
missing the wheat harvest as i am full time caregiver for my wife with lewy body dementia. I gave up the farming and trucking to care, for, her. Im 77 and retired so gives me something to do. I really want to be harvesting though.
Brian - I understand the concept of crop rotation and the reason for alternating between corn and beans. Can you please talk about some of the thinking that regulates your wheat plans each year? Why not plant wheat on 100% of your non-corn acres, and then plant all your beans on the same acres following wheat harvest? I know that bean-only fields deliver higher yield than double crop beans, but if the yield difference is great, why not skip all wheat and plant only (single crop) beans on your non-corn acres? It seems to me you must be optimizing to make a mix decision each year between bean only and wheat/beans. I wonder what goes into that decision. To put it another way, other farmers are corn/beans only. You are among the few who do corn/wheat/beans. What’s up? Thanks
Brian, I like your comments about the Challenger tractor, I like the color but you can't get it anymore. Agco is good at getting rid of what people like, personally I think that the Fendt green is ugly.
get some a/c pro big can filler er up. All a/c’s leak by design not refrigeration it lubricant it might not be dead just low turn it on turbo cool highest possible hook up can takes two people add coolant until the air starts cooling good to go. save re fill cans
It feels like many of the row crop farmers are starting to feel the youtube burnout and just not posting as many videos this year. The high video views of 2020 to 2022/23 and pushing out 2 sometimes 3+ videos a week along with doing their regular work can't be easy and can take its toll
I think pretty much everyone was in a hurry during planting, because of the wet spring and the late start they got. So there was literally no time to film or produce videos
They were still putting out video on a regular basis during planting. Check to make sure UA-cam didn’t unsubscribe you. They have been known to do that a lot.
Likely excuses BJ we all know you was in ac somewhere sucking down some little Debbie snacks while Brian and Bob out braving the sweltering heat dome and then to come on and say you forgot about us 😂😂😂😂 you didn't want to share Little Debbie with us did you
I don't want to be rude or disrespectful, but it's almost impossible to understand Bob. On the one hand, the microphone seems to be bad or too far away and on the other hand, his pronunciation is almost impossible to understand. We say that it sounds like he has a woollen blanket in his mouth. Lol

The subtitles are still somewhat confusing.
Sounded like Joe Biden talking for a minute. Lmao
You just gotta be from the upper east coast, I understand him just fine we have a very thick accent
I was raised around older Farmers, I understand everything He says. My Grandpand always said at His age he shouldn't have to tell us what to do😂
poor fellow back when i farmed in the early to mid 70s very few trucks or tractors had air con. you was lucky to have an umbrella and an AM radio.

Great wheat harvest! Hope yall got the rain you need. Sure would like to see George in the grain cart tractor just one time!
Thanks for the video, been missing yall. Be good to have truck mechanic. Glad y’all hauling to bins to keep cutting

Congratulations on a fantastic wheat crop. Hope you get the rains to get the beans out of the ground.
Keep in mind commodity prices are not good now. Actually dropping

Great video guys..Thank you so much
Still don’t understand AGCO killing the Challenger brand. Love the yellow and love the American history behind it. Such a shame.
Cutting costs. Cheaper to have fewer parts on the assembly line
Glad the Ideal is working good, Agco makes great combines
Nice video. Like your comments on the machines 😊

Hey Brian, we are just checking in on you and the family. Have not posted a video in a while. We pray everything is good up there in Southern Ohio
We’re fine. We were on vacation

Beautiful wheat!
Thought you retired. Been having BV video withdrawals
Afraid some one was sick or worse. Hope wheat finished well.
We plant 650.000 seeds per hectare on 50cm spacing between the rowds
Ever considered doing bales with the wheat straw
The cowboys would never get em moved in time
Wheat stubble being left is beneficial for the soils and makes more sense for us to do than straw
use baby powder on the tracks, less friction and rubbing.
What are you planning to replace the Challenger with? Another Fendt?
Brian, I like your comments about the Challenger tractor, I like the color but you can't get it anymore. Agco is good at getting rid of what people like, personally I think that the Fendt green is ugly.
Wheat looks Good!
Will yall buy that challenger since you like it so well?
Bout time we get a video. I have shakes from withdraws
Hahahaha
Thanks. Great Operation
rain !!! you can have some of ours !!!#mudlife
Good video.
could be 2 foot of snow and then at night -10 with high winds
Damn, you cut that wheat high!
Maybe so they can make straw bales, my guess.
Don’t want Any more residue on the ground than necessary so the beans come through better. We don’t bale straw we leave it for organic matter
Good video good to see y'all
Thanks for the video.
You are welcome!
Two thumbs up.

Have you ever thought about balling the staw and selling it
Couple questions…did u get the rain? Do you bail your wheat straw?

Drag a chain off the back axcel will stop dust sticking to windows and mirrors
Can you cut the straw lower or no
Could if we wanted to

Blame the lid on the drill on your dad wasn’t he running it last lol 😂
Let me say this first "I'm not s farmer". I would have thought you would plant less population on double crops versus the spring planting.🤷
Nope! Each plant will produce less seeds because of the growing conditions are not optimal!
@@kevinmeyer3884 that makes sense. The reason I said it was typically there is less moisture in the late summer.
How much to buy out the lease and keep it permanently

Guess thats a pretty good yield for wheat harvest. Where i live in Germany we have a better yield, but in comparison you still do better
